Rate my daily carry. Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 9MM. Did the color fill myself and getting talon rubberized grip put on it soon.

this is now a fingerbox thread

More power to you, but I fucking HATE the grip on the shield. I get it's for CC but it's so fucking skinny I have a hard time aiming it properly.
What's the minimum number of people that need to be on the bridge of a destroyer for it to operate effectively?
>>33342497
Ah, is that so? Would you happen to what positions they'd be in?

Normal complement is 300 for the entire ship.

Do any of you carry to work? Have any of you gotten in trouble for carrying at work? Has carrying to work ever saved your life or the life of a coworker?
>>33342114
I carry to work but I leave it in my car. I'm not worried about anyone breaking into my car since my company has security patrol the parking lot. Policy says no weapons on the premises, but the real reason I don't carry at work is because I work in a lot of tight spaces and I can see it getting really uncomfortable
Carry and lock it in a gun safe in the car. My car also has lo jack and i log all of my serials of anything above 250$
I carried all the time when I was a wagecuck. The trick is to never ever tell anyone you carry, no matter how good a friend they are. Pocket carry is ideal because there is no chance for someone to see it. Anyone who notices your bulging pocket will think you are a nerd, not that you have a 40mm Glock automatic with assault clip.
Alright, /k/, you find yourself in possession with a blunderbuss. Hypothetically, you can shoot whatever you want out of it.
What do you load and fire?
A large bad dragon dildo, used of cause for extra effect

fists full of 22lr and 32sp ammo.
>Live in small town in South Carolina

>Pretty good, allows almost anything except explosives
>Free
>Walkway gets washed out in storm
>Wait a whole fucking year for the govt. to pour gravel on it to "fix" it
>Gets washed out 3 weeks later because they did such a lazy, shitty job
>mfw I'll probably have to wait another year for it to open again
>mfw I have to drive hours to go to another range
Why is the government such shit. How much effort can it possible take to build a fucking bridge or something. Also, greetings from South Carolina, /k/.

How the fuck does anyone sight in rion sights at 50-100 yards?
>sighting in new rifle, 50 yard zero
>get back to firing line, take aim
>wtf I can barely see the fucking 2 inch circle
Can't even imagine what zeroing at 100 with irons is like.

That's a 25 meter target. Use it at 25 meters, not 50. Did you read it at all ?
Ok /k/ I'm purchasing a S&W Bodyguard .380 (inb4 get lcp) as a deep conceal mouse gun. But I am on the fence when it comes to decent defense ammo in .380. What's the consensus on rounds that at least help mitigate the .380's diminutive power?
>>33341560
get a 42
>>33341560
FTX IIRC.
>>33341560
>the .380's diminutive power
This is a meme spread by fudds and spergs. Unless you're expecting a team of CIA assassins in body armor to come after you .380 is more than sufficient.
I feel strange not being Irish at all and supporting their struggle

The law in my country is shit when it comes to black powder,so I researched ways to make it myself.
I have very good quality sulfur and charcoal, but my kno3 says "99.7%" on the bottle.
Is that pure enough for decent quality black powder?
>>33341420
yes
>>33341420
purer than the shit (lel) that they used back in the day
also that;s by weight, there;s a shitload more charcoal going by volume
>>33341420
They used to make it by scraping shit off the floor of bat caves. Purity isn't that important.
Hey, /k/.
I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I live in an area that is mountainous, but heavily forested.
I need a carbine that will do me well with medium to large sized game out to 300 yards, but I'm not sure whether to pick .308 winchester or .45-70 government.
.308 has the huge advantage of cost and availability, but .45-70 will do much better with tons of plants in the way.
.308 is decidedly more accurate, but .45-70 is more powerful (depending on the cartridges).
I like the .308 because I can get a gun with higher capacities (mossberg MVP) and faster magazine changes. also, the .308 has higher penetration (again, depending on the cartridge).
but I can't help but know that the .45-70 marlin (fuck henry magazines. hate 'em) comes in 9 round tubes and has better energy transfer because of the higher caliber.
Both of the guns are fairly inexpensive. I've been weighing the options for months now, but I just can't decide.
thoughts?
This will be my only bump. Here are some more details.
I am going to buy the gun on monday. Both will be about the same weight, both are capable of taking black bear and moose, and both are at about the maximum level of recoil I can handle comfortably.
The real question is, will one of these calibers be unsuitablke for the conditions I mentioned above?
>up to 300 yds
>heavily forested
>mountains and shit
cost IS an issue. I don't like buying something that will be irreplaceable, and I don't like paying $5 a shot. but it seems with the flora around here that the cheaper option will be less functional.
If anyone has any experience with both of these, that would be helpful.
>>33341605
45-70 if you like fun and lever gats
.308 if you're part of the modern fudd movement on /k/
>>33341650
I like killing things.
Hello /k/. I just bought my first gas mask. I managed to find an unissued Avon M50 for $180. Comes with all in pic related. How'd I do? General CRBN/respirator thread.

I want an M17. Those are cool as fuck.
>>33341522

>>33341522
That they are. Older filters have chromium though. So watch yourself.
