To what degree do we owe the Allied victory in World War 2 to the size and strength of the Royal Navy?
It seems to me that one of the major factors that prevented Nazi Germany from realizing its ambitions was its inability to achieve naval supremacy in the North Sea and the Mediterranean in the early years of the war, because it stalled Germany's attempts to resolve the war in the west before it began the war in the east.

Why do waiting periods exist?
I'm 18, born and raised and live in the gunshine state but in broward county, the most liberal part.
I try to buy a marlin 795 for cheap plinking (.223 hurts the wallet)
I go through the whole process only to realize that this county has a 5 day waiting period on all gun purchases and now anxious all week

Actually the henry is inferior. Historically they had much more problems with the henry than they did the spencer. Which is why winchester mad the 1866 yellow boy, which fixed the problems that the henry rifle had in the field.
