also interested to see what rail they end up adopting. mk8 is the shoe in but I'd be surprised if they didnt at least consider the URX. maybe DD is scrambling right now to retrofit/rework MFR's to work with the more sturdy RIS style bolt up system
>>
>>33908317
What would be the point of testing Mlok and Keymod but then going to basically a another quad rail? I don't think CASV, MFR, etc type rails were even in the tests

I think it will be a g rail. Alot of jsoc units are fighting to get g rails and using unit funds to buy triggers. I think that geisselle has slowly built a solid reputation in the welfare queen world to where they going to be the winner of the contract.

Buy a decent buffer tube, make sure your buffer's round edges are actually smooth, and dab a little oil on the buffer spring.

The "premium" tubes from PSA have actually been very smooth, and I've used them in several builds for people over the last couple of years.

DDM4V7 is the dream, hickock says its his favorite and thats good enough for me, also free oakleys

I can't afford 1700 but I see them for around 1400 and sometimes less if im lucky

I have $1120 right now

Bud's gun shop has the colt combat carbine which has the same features for 1,025 but it's not as nice looking and I can only assume not as high quality

Also there's that LMT that was mentioned earlier for 1400, I don't know how I feel about a 7 pound piston AR but it does look nice

between the colt and the DD theyre both chrome lined barrels, only the DD is CHF, the DD has a nicer rail and their trademark furniture otherwise they arent all that different. between manufacturers the major differences can be boiled down to the barrel, bolt, rail and furniture. sometimes trigger but most just come with a milspec single stage.

Unfortunately I don't have one handy. You'd also have to get it at just the right angle in order to see it. It's very small but I didn't know if it was suppose to be contact flush or if some wiggle room was normal. My receivers are fixed to tight on each other that I have to get a punch and knock out the take-down pin. I learned my lesson to never get mix-and-match receivers.

Is it really too much to ask for standardization and for companies to adhere to a universal specification? god fucking damn

What's a good price for a geissele Mk8 9,5 long in the states ?
>>
Not that i'd do it because I value the lives of my dogs, but if the chinks invade, how hard would it be to convert your standard AR to auto?
>>
>>33910525
Good? like $200
>>
>>33910530
Not worth the time and effort. Full auto is a meme.

The french army is looking for new optics for the 416F so maybe we'll be retard enough to buy some more, even if it's the shittiest optic ever issued.

Last question before I jam(lol):

Is the selector lever to blame or the lower? (it's canted if you couldn't tell by my artwork)

It's from a Spike's Tactical parts kit if that's important.

much better

probably your selector. do you not have a picture of your actual AR
>>
>>33910564
45° safety are nice, but yours doesn't seems like one if the safe position is like that.
>>
>>33910587

For that one I did but I have no idea where I put it. I spent about 5-6 minutes combing through my folders until I gave up. Wish I could provide more but that's the best I could do.

Illustration is a little exaggerated in terms of the severity of the cant but I'd say it's at a 30 degree angle iirc

does it ever sit flush or is it always canted

meaning, it may click over the detent and be a bit canted, but can you push it a bit more to be more square
>>
>>33910630

It is always canted. It seems to function flawlessly but it's kind of weird. I can't tell if it is intentional or not but either way it can still fire.
>>
>>33910639
sounds like they gave you a fucky selector, drilled the detent holes incorrectly

I like it at the end but it looks gay. I kinda want to know if there's a standard for it, like leaving enough room for a light or something.
