I'm getting a bit tired of the LG G3 I have currently.
What are the most decent phones lately that hover around the 400-500 mark max?
I'd like it to have a headphone jack, USB C, A fingerprint reader (On the back if possible), Good battery life, NFC, IR blaster (if possible), Removable battery (If possible), and an SD card (If possible).
I've looked at the LG V20, and it's the closest thing to what I really love and like, but it's impossible to get here, I've also looked at ZTE Axon 7, that looks like a decent choice.
Anything that about marks these things?
I live in The Netherlands.

I bought an ASUS Zenfone 3 for about 350€ on MediaMarkt clearance.
8core 2'0 GHZ, 64 GB internal, 4GB RAM, 5'5 screen and a really nice camera with laser focus.
Only drawback is that the stock android it comes with is a bit bloated for my taste, but it supports AOSP with LegacyOS.
After a bit of using different types of phones, i went back to Samsung for the s8+, although it has its problems i prefer it and at least the company services the phone. I had a Nexus 6p before it and neither huawei or google wanted to fix it. Bitched for 2 weeks before they finally gave in. I'm not one to but a warranty because i take care of my shit but it was even 2 years old and they were telling me no on a well known issue with the phone.

No, it's perfect for neet skiddies who wanna feel l33t but cant compile shit
>Can be as bareboned or bloated as you wish
Arch was never a minimalistic distro.
>Practical as fuck
Rolling release, bleeding edge, update-every-day distro is not practical at all.
>Not that hard to get up and running as I expected
Yes, because all you have to do is follow written instructions. I bet your kernel is full of holes.

Because LP is a faggot.

I'm using a function because I want to make a toggle switch using knockoutJS similar to.this jsfiddle.
HTML<button data-bind="event:{click:UpdateColor}">Update Color</buttom>
<div data-bind="style:{background:selectedColor}, text:selectedColor"></div>
JSvar color = ["Grey", "White"];
var data = [];
data.remainder = ko.observable(0)
data.selectedColor = ko.observable(color[0]);
data.UpdateColor = function(){
data.remainder((data.remainder()+1)%2);
data.selectedColor(color[data.remainder()]);
}
ko.applyBindings(data);
I'm trying to make a group of buttons though, but I have no idea how to change the observableArray once it's been set :\this.markerType = ko.observableArray([
{ name: 'foo1', tglStatus: 0},
{ name: 'foo2', tglStatus: 0},
{ name: 'foo3', tglStatus: 0},
{ name: 'foo4', tglStatus: 0},
{ name: 'foo5', tglStatus: 0}
]);
this.navbtnToggle = function(data, index){
this.remainder((this.remainder() + 1) % 2);
this.selectedColor(onoff[this.remainder()]);
console.log(index, data);
};
>>61898150
I don't know knockoutJS at all, but can you describe at what exact step you are stuck at?
Can't you just access this.markerType with the "index" variable and toogle "tglStatus" as you would with any other array?

>There’s a new iPhone craze on the subway, and it’s not the latest Candy Crush update.
>New York women have discovered that creepy men are using the iPhone AirDrop app to send them photos of their privates while on the same train.
>Since more straphangers using the MTA are carrying advanced iPhones and awareness of the AirDrop app has increased, local straphangers have started noticing a troubling trend first reported in London in 2015.
>Britta Carlson, 28, was riding the uptown 6 train to a concert on July 27 when a mysterious message popped up on her smartphone.
>“iPhone 1 would like to share a note with you,” read the note sent at 6:51 p.m. She hit “Accept” and was horrified by what she saw. “It was just a huge close-up picture of a disgusting penis,” said Carlson, of Bushwick, Brooklyn. The message was titled “Straw” and was sent by an anonymous stranger.
>“It really felt like someone had actually just flashed me.”
>Carlson clutched the phone to her chest and frantically scanned the subway car for the pervert but couldn’t place him.
>In order for pervs to send lewd photos, iPhone owners must have their AirDrop setting on “Everyone,” instead of “Contacts Only” or “Receiving Off.”
>The app, which was released for iPhones in 2013, uses “Contacts Only” as the default setting and doesn’t work with Androids or Windows phones. The victim must also be within Bluetooth range, which is approximately 328 feet.
>People often forget to switch the setting off from “Everyone,” or don’t realize they have turned it on.
>Carlson had her AirDrop switched to “Everyone” because she used it to send photos at work.
>“It never even crossed my mind that someone may use it to send stuff like that,” she admitted.
https://nypost.com/2017/08/12/airdropping-dick-pics-is-the-latest-horrifying-subway-trend/
Why are iPhone users such degenerates?
>Frankie Navisch, 35, had just gotten off a train at Penn Station when an invitation to open “Eduardo’s picture” — with a preview photo of a man’s junk — popped up on his screen.
>“I wanted to punch him in the mouth for carelessly buckshotting genitalia to phones that could potentially be owned by children,” seethed Navisch, of Harlem.
>“Was he looking for interaction, or is all he wanted was someone to look at his mini-monstrosity?”
>Serial exhibitionists are likely attracted to using AirDrop to trap victims because of the anonymity.
>“In the past, flashers would have to go out in public in a trench coat and risk getting arrested,” said Brad Salzman, a sex-addiction therapist. “Now . . . their minds can run wild.”
>Apple declined to comment.
People keep airdrop on all the time? Shit

women do
Its been 7 years and I still want one.
What's some old tech you want /g/?
A minidisc player. I have a low-end one I bought back in the day. Bu the time I could afford nicer stuff, minidiscs were already obsolete, and the nicer hardware was actually more expensive than it was when it was relevant.

Low on precious screen real estate, or busy massaging your carpal tunnel wrists damaged by waving a mouse around like an idiot? A tiling window manager might be for you!
> Freedom from the mouse
With any decent twm, you're hand almost never has to leave the home row.
> High customizability
All well known twms are built with customizability in mind, either through a config file, command line options, or in the case of dwm, editing the source code directly.
> Efficient use of screen space
because each new window will split the screen one level further, the available screen space is used optimally (yes, even when using gaps).
> L I G H T W E I G H T
using a tiling window manager forgoes the need for a bloated DE, simply
install any necessary software on top of the window manager to build exactly the system you want with no cruft!
> Resources
i3wm - https://i3wm.org/
Babby's first twm, easily customizable from a central config file, has sane defaults. Usable out of the box.
Xmonad - http://xmonad.org/
Written and configured using haskell, so knowledge of haskell is recommended. Highly extensible, stable, and dynamic.
bspwm - https://github.com/baskerville/bspwm
Binary Space Partitioning Window Manager
bspwm is a tiling window manager that represents windows as the leaves of a full binary tree. Stable, supports lots of customization out of the box.
dwm - http://dwm.suckless.org/
Dynamic Window Manager written in C.
Slightly higher learning curve than most other twms, basic knowledge of C is necessary for configuration as it takes place in the header file. Very
lightweight.
floating window manager plebs need not apply
>>61886181
is dwm really as fast/ comfortable as people say is it? I'm curious but have been put off by the learning curve and don't want to waste my time if it isn't worth worrh it. Currently using i3.
>>61886235
When I started using i3 I found it was like learning vim agaun (although a lot less extreme). You'll find it weird for a day or two while you get used to the controls but you'll quickly get comfortable and from then on it's a case of slowly mastering it.
>>61886235
I barely know anything about C but dwm is comfy af.
