why wont amd/nvidia release dedicated minerfag GPUs?

Firstly, it costs money to develop.
It would also be catering to a highly volatile market which directly would affect the value of the GPU.

>wasting money for a seperate gpu if they can just let the market inflate their normal ones
why should they?

/cbt/ - Chummy BSD Thread

BSD or the Berkely Software Distribution is a well supported and robust full fledged Unix operating system, usually with a minimalist amount of packages on install, but a large and well supported package system for builds and building systems.

It is commonly used for by mainframes, legacy Unix systems, routers, and Internet Service Providers

What are your own uses or interest in BSD?
Why do you/don't like BSD?
Why do you/not use BSD over Linux?
What software do you run on BSD?
Which distribution do you use?
Config files?

Try it or install it!

>What are your own uses or interest in BSD?
server OS for business, testing operating system design and kernel hacking

>Why do you/don't like BSD?
>Why do you/not use BSD over Linux?
better documentation, more unified namespace and design between BSDs than the Linux mess, better Unix principles

the only issue is also a benefit, since it has less market share there's less docs than linux but their docs are more thorough

>What software do you run on BSD?

networking software, internet servers, databases, OS modifications

>Which distro?
OpenBSD

Focus your skills on tasks that CANNOT do without being there in person.
Such as setting up networks, computer assembly etc. That way mahesh would have a harder time stealing your job in his comfy home in India

Become friends with your Teacher and the head of the CS department.
CS Teachers ALWAYS have a side hustle going on, you can talk to them for advice or maybe get involved in the projects they are doing on the side for experience
Also this will help with your networking skills.

Dont be a bore, anyone can code, but no one can be you.

Hey /g/, I need help. I have a Samsung galaxy Note 5 that's treated me great for almost two years, been through some shit. However, I just dropped that puppy about 2 feet onto my vinyl flooring, landed flat on the ground, screen facing up, and immediately the screen went black. The LED went to a pulsating sky blue, and the screen is occasionally flashing on the left side. Is this something anybody has encountered before? Is it fixable, or am I screwed into buying a new phone because mine slipped off of the counter. Any help would be much appreciated. Pic unrelated

screens usually cost a lot to replace
idk just bring it to samsung but it might not be worth it

not your personal tech support
>>
>>61300342
I was hoping somebody had come into this problem before and found a solution, the only things I'm finding are people with the same problem, but no working solution. Really hoping I wouldn't need to replace the screen as there is no physical damage, but I think you're right that sending it to samsung might be the best option.

Visual Studio is the only IDE option on windows

if you don't need the whole suite, just get gvim

>involves tons of internal systems
>feels like it will take forever to understand them all and be productive
How do you do this /g/?

never could figure that shit out. 80 systems with random 3 or 4 characters acronyms. fuck that shit.

got a job doing R&D for a hardware manufacturing company with almost zero such internal systems. much better.
>>
You should get out of tech and get a good social job like bar tending where you can meet cute girls and have fun.

Computers are fun as a side hobby but don't waste your life making a career out of them.
