Asian, a bit of lactose intolerance. I drink milk just fine and there's bloat/gas afterwards, and there's a present chance of the drizzling shits afterwards but nothing I can't handle.
So I'm halfway into a bag of protein powder and it's suddenly become hard to drink. It feels like my stomach constantly feels full when I take a gulp, I get a shitload of gas afterwards and it's a struggle to drink the entire shake so I space it throughout the day.
What's happening?
Should I get WPI instead? Or change the type of protein to like soy or something? Or mix it with water instead?

I've put on some fat from bulking the last few months and I'm trying to burn it off now, but I'm constantly really hungry and making no weight loss progress, I'm also weak and unable to make my sets. Anyone experienced this? Do I need to optimize more for protein or something?

Is doing a sustained prolonged calorie deficit really the best way to go about losing body-fat?

Say maintenance calories are 2,600 and you want 150g+ protein per day. Why not just do something like the following...

>Monday - 1500 (-1,100 deficit)
>Tuesday - 1300 (-1,300 deficit)
>Wednesday - 1200 (-1400 deficit)
>Thursday - 2000 (-500 deficit)
>Friday - 2550-2600 (maintenance)
>Saturday - 2550-2600 (maintenance)
>Sunday - 2550-2600 (maintenance)

Total deficit for the week = 4,300 calories , or 1.22 lbs of bodyfat, and you only spent 3 days on really low calories, and 1 day on moderate calories, and 3 days on FRI/SAT/SUN @ maintenance calories. If you moderate your fat in-take on those 3 days at maintenance and eat more carbs over fat, you could even improve body-composition even more.

Yes, but the thermic effect of dietary fat is pretty much 0%, so for improved body-composition you're always better off eating protein or carbs over fats once you've hit your minimum requirements of fat in-take.

Cutting is easy at the start, and gets harder the longer you do it, so why not just do 3-4 days of aggressive cutting, getting as high as a deficit as possible, then just return to maintenance calories.

Please tell me why nobody has ever mentioned cutting like this?

If you did the same thing with -1,100 deficit every day you'd end up with a -7,700 deficit over a 4,300 which is clearly better results.

Not the best way, but it would work, in theory. The whole concept unsustainable though and if you fuck up on the first half of the week, you're going to be having a hard time with the rest. There will be days where you physically cannot be in a deficit of 1400 calories, then what? You'll start subtracting calories from the rest of your days and you'll find that you're just doing what everybody else does: spreading the deficit amongst the full week instead of half of the week.

I've been coming here off and on for over a year. Today at work some girls were talking about how they like skinny men (fat bitches, I wasn't in the least bit offended) and it got me thinking. IMO any exercise but the bench press. Even then most gyms will have safety precautions on the bench press benches like a bar or something that you put about chest level or a bit lower. DESU, you need to mentally prepare yourself for the shame that comes with bailing or just ask for a spot. When it comes to bailing for a squat, I look at the weight, remember it, then tell myself I'm going to crush it with five reps easy one day.
