Wouldnt it be better if instead of starting with your typical deadlift squat bench shit you start with olympic lifts instead? I know a guy who never did most traditional lifts except deadlift and all he does is clean & jerks snatches or power cleans and boy is he fucking strong as fuck.

Olympic weightlifters train squats like crazy motherfuckers, movements are quick so they aren't that good for adding muscle mass, also good luck learning them without a coach.

But if you want to commit to this sport then you should probably start learning technique as early as possible, but don't neglect your squats and don't expect to have nice pecs without some pushing.

Squats, pulls, presses, etc. build strength, and the Olympic lifts are an expression of said strength, as well as muscle coordination and explosiveness.

What's the difference between training for hypertrophy and training for strength? Do your muscles really grow in a different way when you focus one or another?
