Let's talk about the downside of cooking, dirty dishes. How do you deal with them? Got a kickass dishwasher? Make the eaters do them? Soak them overnight? Serve everything on paper plates? Do tell.
Clean as I go, I avoid sauces that will freeze at room temp/egg yolks as well. I normally cook, so the gf will clean except for my pans, I clean those
As soon as I moed out of my parents house, I have never seen a paper plate
>>9188659
I wash everything as soon as I get a chance
Like if some sauce has to simmer or something has to go in the oven, I'll utilize that time to get all the dishes washed. It's so much easier to wash them when all the shit hasn't dried and adhered.

Wife does dishes.
mine's samyang spicy buldak bokkeum myeon
I love instant ramen and enjoy trying new ones as often as I can but I always have a stock of these. Something about them is just perfect, the chicken flavor is great and the noodles have the best texture of any I've tried. I add green onion and a little sriracha or other hot sauce and cook the noodles long enough to make them soft. Max comfy.
>>9188341
amazing taste anon, are you me? I do exactly all of this but sometimes I like to add in an egg or other veggies to go along with it. I like the original flavor the most though
Just a little midnight snack. And you? What do you eat in the darkest hours?
air
>>9188176
what the fuck? I reverse image searched it and this is actually you... what the fuck is wrong with you?
that's too much food for a "midnight snack" you gross obese NEET
>>9188176
Usually some chips and hummus and I feel awful about it.
Can't imagine not giving a fuck and eating like this at midnight. I envy you
Got invited to a get together at Texas Roadhouse.
I've never been.
What should I

I'm assuming it's just cheap steak. Are there any hidden gems there?
The cooking staff are just regular dudes, so nothing amazing. It's edible and not pricy. They have cinnamon butter spread for your rolls. I'd eat there again
When the staff starts dancing it's considered polite to toss peanuts at the girls asses.
>>9186815
The fried pickles are good. It's just your average family steakhouse otherwise.
I ordered a Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino at Starbucks today because I received a giftcard recently. I get it and it's essentially a milkshake. How do they justify calling this a frappuccino? I don't get it. Also, apparently a small is only 300 calories, which seems implausible.
>>9184748
bruh
>>9184748
They don't have to justify shit, they could sell a glass full of shit, call it a smoothie, and people would buy it
I suggest you spend your gift card on coffee beans
>>9184748
>only 300 calories
How fat you, OP?
What does /ck/ bake? Can /ck/ bake?

Welcome to the /ck/ challenge: COLD MAIN DISH MEGA ALPHA EDITION.
>GET CHILLY MAH NIGGAS
That's right: COLD MAIN DISH.
What does that mean? Well, if you can't figure this shit out you should probably stay away from the knives.
*******
Dishes will be scored on the following areas, so keep that in mind.
-Presentation: The appearance of items on the plate; plating skills
-Originality: Creativity in composing the dish
-Appeal: How appetizing the food looks/whether or not the dish appeals to your personal taste as a voter
-Challenge Goals: How closely the entry followed the challenge goal(s)
The distinction between Presentation and Appeal: If someone submits an artfully arranged but burnt steak as an entry, it may score high in Presentation but low in appeal.

Remember people, timestamp and unique identifiers. Stop forgetting damn you.

Thanks, but no thanks. I entered the last 2 but there is nothing I even want to think about in that regard. Have a nice month.

I liked the buffalo chicken MRE. that's about it though

>>9193728
Whats old bay, and what do you use lavender in? I made icecream out of it once. That pic is of me reorganising my stuff, I also added fenugreek, black mustard seeds, and celery seeds to it.
>>9193739
Old Bay is a spice blend, celery salt, bay leaves, pepper, and some other stuff that's escaping me atm - it's mostly used with crabs & seafood, but in Baltimore we'll put it on anything
The ice cream sounds awesome - I mostly use it in drinks, a few risotto recipes, and salmon on date nights
Yesterday I had started cooking some stir-fry and thought I had run out of soy sauce and started to panic. Turns out it was just pushed behind some other stuff in the shelf.
What're your cooking close calls.
>>9193541
one I was making flied lice and thought I ran out of soy sauce. turns out I just used all the soy sauce before and forgot to buy more.
so I added some extra oil, marmite (for flavour) and ketchup (for some moisture). turned out OK!
>>9193541
>and started to panic
Why? Soy sauce is rarely used in authentic stir-fry recipes. You don't need it.
Now, running out of doubanjiang or douchi would be reason to panic.
went to friend's house for dinner and games, mid way trough a session of EDH I cast overloaded artifact destruction spell.
at the same time an explosion happens behind my friend in the kitchen area of his tiny apartment. his pressure cooker sends shrapnel and beans and meat everywhere.
I was almost fed chili with beans.
Is it ok to order a pitcher of beer for just myself? I mean do normal people do that?
Who wants to be normal?
>>9193187
>be an alcoholic
>still have shame
You've got a long way to go there, champ.
>>9193187
Absolutely. I used to do it all the time when I knew I was gonna put the shit away.
Well when you hit 25 you gotta switch to buckets. Pitchers start to go flat before you can finish it.
How do you guys feel about this guy not being on Americas Test Kitchen anymore? I cant watch the show with the new women, it just feels off.
>>9193051
The shows and magazines are completely feminized. From the shitty dish selections and execution
>bitch do I need a "cookout salad" or recipe for making brats?
to their product reviews
>ooh, this grill tong was so heavy it took two hands to close!
It's become Martha Stewart housewife tier.
>>9193051
I wouldn't know I don't watch TV.
>>9193091
