When was your last bout of food poisoning, /ck/?

I just got it two nights ago, hadn't had it since I was very young. I feel better now but extremely tired still.

I'm not sure what I got it from, so should I just toss all my open food? Only thing I ate that I still have is some cheese and almonds. I have no idea what food to trace it back to, I had all kinds of things leading up to it from meats to salads to cheeses, no idea what gave it to me.

Statistically, most food poisoning is caused by the diner not having washed their hands properly and contaminating their own food.
>>
>>9192858
Yeah, I was thinking that. Maybe I touched a countertop or something. I'm a germaphobe though, so I wash my hands a whole lot. But, hey maybe I missed the ball this time. I didn't do the cooking, but the person cooking with me didn't get sick. Only thing different I had was a packaged salad (pre-washed, probably should have washed it again!) and some cheese.

¿Es esta la mejor ganga en comida que se puede encontrar? Un autentico "hot dog" estilo americano por tan sólo $23 pesos. (¡Con la bebida!) Puede que este hot dog de Costco sea la mejor ganga en la historia de la humanidad.

was boiling eggs yesterday evening, forgot them in the bowl in the cold water, are sitting there for ~16 hours, shall I throw them out once I get back home or are they OK?

Eggs are never okay.
>>
Just eat them. I leave food out in room temperature all the time during summer then I fall asleep and eat it when I wake up. Been doing it for years and no problems so far.
>>
I never throw away food unless it has visible mold or rancid smell tbqh

Why is it so formulaic?

What I want to know is how many of the restaurants/hotels he visits even stay open? The show makes it seem like he's there for like4 or 5 days at most. All he does is put a band aid over what's wrong and Im sure the places he's "fixed" end up just as fucked up as before
>>
Because he's selling it to americans.
If you show them anything that they aren't already familiar with then they're gonna get confused and feel offended/bored.
>>
because Americans need their tv to be formulaic and with jump cuts and sound effects

Canadian here.

Had my first Jersey Mike's sub at Canada's first and only Jersey Mike's location.

It was pretty good and definitely better than anything I had at a chain sub place before.

The wine vinegar and oil dressing worked surprisingly well.

I had the Jersey Shore this time. What sandwich should I try next time?

The Super Sub is like a natural progression of the jersey shore.
You're canadian so you're probably used to expensive things, but I personally think JM's is way too expensive.
You can make what they have at home pretty easily, just add some vinegar, oil, and oregano and you get the same effect.

Daily reminder you should at least be taking a multivitamin, Omega-3, and likely Vitamin D everyday. There's no reason not to.

Pic related is me when I bought multivitamins in bulk at Costco. AMA.
22 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
the science behind optimal vitamin levels is completely arbitrary and not even doctors can agree on proper levels.
Meanwhile, big pharma fills the public with FUD by publishing insanely high blood concentration levels for particular vitamins and labeling this as "NORMAL", encouraging wasteful vitamin deficiency blood tests and getting doctors to prescribe something like 20,000 IU dosages of vitamin D to alleviate imaginary conditions like "risk of developing rickets" or "improves heart health".
>>
>>9191130
It's not about what is normal, it's about what is optimally beneficial. People don't get as much sunlight as they do.

And more omega 3's are good. It grows your brain n shit. Why do you think whites and Asians are smart/civilized and silly niggers in Africa are dumb as shit? It's because the former two ate lots of fish for millennia and it made their brains powerful as fugg. Africans eat flies and other niggers.

Chefs of 4 Chan, and those who have eaten this German dish, what do you do to yours?

I like to add a bit of salt and butter after it finishes cooking, then toss on some basil and a bit of garlic powder.

I bought something similar to this pic a few days ago at the store. The package says "chuck blade carne picada" but I am clueless on how to make it. My first attempt (cooked in a skillet with peppers) resulted in meat that was almost inedible. Does anyone have advice on how I can turn the second package into something decent? I think my problem the first time around was that the meat wasn't cooked long enough to break down. My current plan is going to be some sort of slow cooker route, but I'd like some input from /ck/ if anyone wants to help me out.

What are some coffee alternatives that go above and beyond? I feel as if there's a shit ton, but none really stick out to me (health-wise or otherwise). Smoothies do give me a kick, though I don't always have the time or the stuff to make them.
