>living abroad
>want to break up with gf
>she's the kind who starts crying and stops talking if given any bad news
Would it be too bad for me to send a "I think we should break up" text out of the blue? She can tell I lost interest and has been insecure about it, and I've been anxious about being in a relationship I don't want to be in, so I'm trying to figure out a way to settle this already.

Breaking up over text is considered rude in some circles, but if you don't respect your gf or fear that a real time conversion could get ugly then it's fine.
>>18598802
>counting in a single text message
If you dont give a shit about her then break up over text. Just call her and tell her you want to break up.
Plan out what you want to say and write it down. Its just easier if you arent used to dealing with emotional people.

>she's the kind who starts crying and stops talking if given any bad news
Not someone worth being with in the first place if every little pebble in the road of life sends them careening out of control, and honestly, it won't matter how you deliver the news since apparently she's gonna flip her shit any way.
Text her. Be honest, but to the point. Gets the job done and avoids all the unnecessary levels of drama she's likely to bring to the situation.
My mom got a offer from a friend thats a lawyer to be a paralegal for him and currently she has no job atm. The thing is we have to move from our comfy home in texas, 3 bedroom 2 story house with nice family neighborhood (muh friends and family) and go all the way to miami. Is it worth it for us to move to miami to get a 40k annual salary?
>>18598801
Only if
1. You like Miami
2. She has job security there
3. She has upwards mobility there
4. You're not giving a lot up
Even then, idk.
Like Miami suburbs or Miami city? It really matters.
Is this normal I can't seem to not focus on it.
I wanna know if women like men with big butts, or thighs?
I love big thighs. Butts, I don't care about. Though I guess a big one is better to look at than a flat or inverted one
>>18598796
I don't. If I wanted a thicc SO I'd date a woman. I like my men lanky.

I've been attending university for the past year and passed all of my exams except one. Right now, I can't get an attempt for a re-exam as I've been stripped of my secondary attempt. This happened because I was supposed to start my education two years ago, but due to economic/psychological reasons couldn't so I asked to start my course a year later. The catch was that they took away all my tries for examinations giving me only one per subject. I passed 5 out of 6 and now they are hesitant to give me a try even though I technically had only 1 chance as opposed to my peers who have 3. It's also only 1 fucking subject. I really don't know what to do. I feel so fucked. Has the time to off myself really come?
Is the anything that can save me in this situation?
>>18598790
>Has the time to off myself really come?
No. Life doesn't end if you flunk out of university after one semester. If anything it's a good time to take a look at yourself and re evaluate your life goals.
>Is the anything that can save me in this situation?
Right now it seems like things are out of your control. Just relax for now, there is nothing you can do. The only thing you could try is write to the Dean or student health services about your situation, although that would be a long shot.
>>18598804
In addition, my problem gets bigger as I traveled to a foreign country to get education and wasted a shit ton of money without return. I really am fucked, but you're right, the only thing I can do is contact the administration and see what I can do.
Only if I actually have no chance of continuing my education will I consider ending it all. I spent too much time, money and health for this.
I'm trying to talk to this girl who is a full time student but she seems to be disinterested. I stopped speaking to her a few years ago because I sperged out over her disrespecting this book I like. She was fairly adamant on readding me and speaking again. I want to get nudes but honestly her replies are slow, usually like 25 minutes apart. It sort of got a bit subversively sexual but nothing to overt or obvious and I kind of get the vibe she's not very interested in maintaining regular contact with me. Do you think she's just busy, giving me a hint or just trying not to appear too desperate?
You're an autist and she knows it. Leave her alone.

Does anyone else feel like they're about to become an alcoholic? I've been drinking somewhat heavily for more than a year now (2-5 times a week) and I want to stop. Unfortunately, getting drunk is the only thing I look forward to nowadays. I'm not physically addicted but I feel like boozing is the only thing that keeps me from depression. I should be happy, I have a loving family, a gf and I'm almost done with my (very useful) degree. Getting drunk is the only thing that makes me happy though, except from music. I'm no longer interested in vidya, movies, etc, it's just a way to pass the time.
I honestly don't know what to do. Should I stop completely? Should I reduce my alcohol consumption? Should I look for some other vice to keep me sane?
I've had two bottles of wine as I'm writing this and I'm going to open up the vodka bottle in a few minutes.
>>18598760
Drinking always progresses the 'addiction.' You can counter this by refusing to engage in more than occasional and/or light drinking, and by gaining some sort of aversion (examples of aversion: nausea reaction, disliking being intoxicated, having friends who judge it poorly).
If you play powerless, then all I have to say is good luck. Take control of yourself and your life.
>>18598760
>two bottles of wine
>bottle of vodka
It sounds like you are dependent at this point. You might want to rehab for a week or so. If you resume using after rehab, then you might want an addictions counselor.
At this point your liver is suffering so much... You have a family dude, think about them. My friends mother died at 35 due to liver failure, she was in bed for 2-3 years... Darnk 0,5l of vodka daily... it seems you will soon see how alcohol will affect your health... You should at least drink lighter alcohol like bear, or stronger but drink less, anyway try to consume less
>meet interesting girl at concert
>very spontaneous and good taste
>ask her on a date
>we start seeing each other regularly
>most fun nights of my life (not even exaggerating)
>eventually make out & fuck
>absolutely amazing sex at her apartment, but we also get intimate afterwards (hinting at deeper feelings)
>never hear from her again after that
why
every girl i've dated in the past 2 years has been so boring and lifeless, no passions or ambitions or excitement. why does this have to happen.
the past three months have just been a depressing bleak shitscape. I can't stop thinking about this
>>18598750
try contacting her again. if still nothing, just move on. she ghosted you. she wants to do it all over again with someone new, you do the same. it's the world we live in
>>18598810
Nah man it has been 3 months, don't bother.
Shit like this happens OP. Keep dating around and just be grateful you at least met her. You will find another girl that will make you happy.
My parent press me up the idea I must study hard.
I'm not a brilliant student, and they're always talking about how horrible son I am and how others are better than me.
I can't stand it...Not everyone can be a doctor or an engineer.
I don't know what I'm going to do with my life, but it's a shame they can't see as an individual. They're not helping me at all.
>>18598676
How old are you ? 13 ? Get a job, find some cheap apartment and get your life together. If your parents are pathetic losers then simply move away.
>>18598685
>but an apartment
Yeah, off course because one salary can afford it.
My parents wouldn't allow it. I'm studying and I must keep studying.
I've zero motivations and I'm not even sure if I'm studying what I should
study in order to get diploma or whatever, you dont have to get perfect scores, its only needed for scholarships, in real life grades doesnt matter. Everything is about practical skills, so you better spend time to study enought to pass exams and for time that is left - try to see what you are good at and try to practice everyday
My product key on windows 8 doesn't work, it is something that came with the laptop but I took the hard drive out and put it in a new pc, is there anything I can do about this so I can activate windows?

Hi satan. Also, you should try /wsr/. They usually deal with more technological requests.
Just read that only 3% of all people set proper goals that are written down. Like really???
83% of the population does not have goals
14% have goals in their mind, but not written down
3% have goals written down
Source here: https://cloutos.com/blog/golden-rules-setting-goals-zig-ziglar/
It`s just crazy.
How do you usually motivate yourself and set goals? I`m facing a lots of difficulties with long term goals. Any advice?
>>18598652
I'm apart of the 14% for long-term goals, while I'm apart of the 3% for short-term goals.
Usually long-term goals are ambiguous and change a lot. For example "I want to become a doctor" I would say is a long-term goal because it would take more than 2 years to accomplish. What's your definition of a long-term goal?
The main thing I've been able to stick with is running. I set a weekly mileage goal and then I pencil in how much I need to run each day. If I run a little less one of the days during the week I just shift those miles down to the remaining days. I always have a race coming up so that helps too.
Going to university soon, still a bit unsure in terms of degree. I'm terrible at Maths, but at History I'm probably one of the top 100 or so students of my admittedly small (around 10mil people) country. I have an interest in politics, economy, and social sciences, so I've been toying with the idea of studying Communication Sciences, even though that's a bit of a meme degree. The safer, but more boring option, is Law, which is also interesting but seems like way too much work. Most lawyers I know are always busy with work and barely have time for themselves and their family. There's also History, which I love, but that might be just because my high school History teacher was an exceptional guy who managed to ignite my passion for the subject and made classes enjoyable. What's your opinion on these 3 degrees?
Also, I have around 15.000€ (around 18k dollars) on my bank account. Financially, what should I do with that money as an 18 yo? Leave it in a saving account?
Being an economics student myself, I can only say that if you're terrible at maths (even though this per se doesn't mean anything, you could've had bad teachers or studied the wrong way) you should avoid economics. The amount of maths involved depends on the field (with finance and economics being the most math intensive, and business administration and such ones the least), but overall I wouldn't recommend if you don't like formulas or mathematical analysis. Keep in mind that economics among the social sciences is the one closest to be a natural science. If that fascinates you though go for it, if the passion is big enough you can overcome the problems though. About law the good thing is that it gives you many other possibilities than to be a lawyer, being it a magistrate, a regulator and so on, even though the lawyer is the most obvious and common choice. History seem to be the best choice for you, but you should consider also job opportunities.I can't think of much other than being a teacher or a researcher, but maybe you do.
Can't say much about your savings other than talking to a financial advisor. If you just keep the money there a bank account is useless. You can either buy investment grade government bonds (which usually yield a bit more than bank deposits) or go for investment funds with low risk profile. In any case you should ask a financial advisor for more detailed guidance as for specific instruments. Hope this helps
>>18598702
Thanks for the long reply. Yeah I completely gave up on anything economics-related, I'm too far behind when it comes to Math. I'll look into the other Law job possibilities, I thought basically all you could with it was become a lawyer, but apparently there's more to it, thanks for the heads-up. History seems like a good choice indeed, but the job opportunities problem is always present. Not sure if I have the profile of a teacher, and other than that there's not much you can do with a degree like it. And I guess that no matter the degree I choose, I can always keep reading books about History until I'm knowledgeable enough to write a book or something.

I'm not sure how it is in your country but most politicians at the state and federal level here in the US have law degrees.
Hi there I really need some advice from you guys.
I work as a drivers mate delivering furniture and on the saturday just gone a customer attempted to assault me in his property.
I entered the property after my colleague and the home owner came up to me and started screaming in my fave regarding cleaning my boots which I had done prior to entering. The guy had also been extremely aggressive towards my colleague. I told him I would not be able to continue with the delivery as he was being aggressive and abusive. He immediately squared up to me and started screaming at me to get the fuck out. I backed away from him and as I did he raised his fists and started to jab at me screaming im going to fucking kill you over and over. Ive raised my fists and backed away from him further and he has continued to advance on me screaming im going to kill you and jabbing. My colleague had to get imbetween us to stop him from attacking me. We left the property and immeidately reported it to our head manager who took a very brief statement. The company is now investigating me for my behaviour and refuses to pass the information to the police. So what should I do?
>>18598640
You need to talk to your colleague about what happened and see how he feels about it. If its just you trying to share your side you're gonna get blown out of the water. Make some official emails asking the company about what they're doing and why they're investigating you so you have some paper trail.
>>18598655
My colleague has also made a statement confirming what had happened. He also agrees the guy was extremely aggressive and tried to attack me. The customer has called up today and lied about whay has happened telling managment I was swearing and throwing thingd around in his garden prior to me entering the property which I did not do
>>18598662
Well, you don't want to start antagonising your company before they've made their move, just email your PR department and ask them formally what they're intending to do. Also get your colleague to send you a statement. You could make a case for unfair dismissal if they try to fire you.
