Quick rundown?
>>18642218
Bogdanoffs.
Am about half way through this series. Really enjoying it so far. Would it be correct to assume that the plot is to do with what /x/ refers to as "tulpa"? Anyone know what I am speaking of?
Other themes seem to be mass hysteria. Just looking for other opinions regarding the supernatural and this story. Not finding much relevant information on the net, but it seems sort of obvious to me, and I hope I am not misunderstanding. It is definitely an /x/ series, no matter whether it is how I imagine. Anyone into anime should check it out.
>>18642140
>>18642147
You're pretty close, yes. A tulpa is a lower tier thoughtform. It's not quite about hysteria, more like repression.
If you decide you like Satoshi Kon, I suggest you also watch Millennium Actress. Perfect Blue is more /x/, and more popular in any case, but I have my own opinion of which is his best work. You may also enjoy Paprika.
How about that opening sequence, though? "Unique", huh?
>>18642324
Paprika, I did enjoy. I haven't watched the others, but they are on my list now.
In regards to understanding Paranoia Agent, do you think that understanding Japanese culture is relevant?
What are your thoughts on it?
Ancient Asian mumbo-jumbo, or something real?
>>18641923
Only as real as you
>>18641926
So it's as ambiguous as your answer, eh?
>>18641923
i think it's real but it would take an entire lifetime of devotion to mastering it to show it in any substantial way.
Probably a long shot, but what the hell. I'd gladly trade a decade or two off the end if my life if I never had to actually be old.

ITT: Worship
Heya /x/ so I've always believed in the supernatural, aliens, spirits and monsters and all the like. But who is truly worthy of worship? Im unsure if the big G.O.D of christianity is the one, so who do you worship /x/?
Reminder that a Creator God demands no worship
And no, the Creator God is not the only god.
>>18638948
Who does demand worship then? And why does this god deserve to be worshipped?
Lord Krishna.
Dumping a little bit of my /x/ folder. Some older stuff in here.
I wish to have a thread similar to the fascinating Unsolved Crime threads, only concerning more paranormal events. Please keep it in the same format: a brief greentext of the event accompanied with a source for extended reading/viewing. Wikipedia is all right as a source. Solved mysteries/hoaxes that still invoke a creepy feeling are acceptable (pic related), but please post them sparingly and make sure to state their explanation explicitly.
Please refrain from posting personal experience that cannot be verified, as there are several threads already for this purpose. Also refrain from posting dubious youtube videos as are commonly seen in other threads. Well made documentaries are acceptable as sources.
Some thread music.

1952 Washington D.C. UFO sightings
>At 11:40 pm an air traffic controller spots seven objects on radar
>no known aircraft in the area
>objects were not following known flight paths
>Two controllers inspected the radar and found it to be working properly
>thought at first to be meteors, but the objects were observed the objects to change altitude and speed several times
>By the time the Air Force sent fighters, the objects were gone

Please read the entire post before posting, this was noted in the OP.
Disappearance of Felix Moncla
>Moncla was a US air force pilot who had served in the Army during WWII
>Received flight training in Texas and Florida before being stationed in Michigan
>On November 23rd, 1953 intercept radar operators picked up an unusual object near the Soo Locks over Lake Superior
>Moncla was scrambled to investigate
>The two blips on the radar, Moncla and the unidentified object, appeared to merge into one as they got close
>The blips never separated, and continued on its original course
>Radio contact to Moncla was unsuccessful
>As were search and rescue operations
>US government says the object was a misidentified Canadian Airforce plane
>Canadian government has denied several times that any plane was involved in any incident that day

How do we unlock our psychic power?

Answer the question, "Why didn't you phrase the question "How do I unlock my psychic power?" "

By using our psych-key

reading that made me laugh myself.
Ok this is kind of weird... I have a friend and I think he's a troll. His ears started shaping pointy and started growing hair on his face, he said he thinks he's different. This is freaky... I'll try to get video footage when he's not noticing, but has anyone else had somebody like this?? I'm getting chills just thinking about it.
>>18645224
Picture or it didn't happen
>>18645224
Sounds like your friend might be jewish.
He's coming tomorrow, I'll try to get some footage...
So there's this group of people monitoring me; tailing when I leave the house, phone, internet and mail is all tapped. They watch me from helicopters with sophisticated IR cameras and they can also read my thoughts. There have been so many 'coincidences' that it is the only explanation. I think I know where their base of operations is, it's close (keep seeing strange glows coming from the industrial estate and it has some kind of 'pull' on me, hard to explain).
I may go and investigate tonight.
Any information on this organisation would be of great value, so would any information on thought reading; how it works, why they do etc.
>>18643894
It's no use buddy. Focus your attention on other crap, I hate seeing this sort of crap. It's starts small then you go insane. Saw my dads best mate do it over the course of about 10 years.
>>18643937
This.
They aren't, and even if some group of people thought you were special enough to be spying on you so much, trust me you wouldn't know.

>Some useful tips before posting:
-New readers should post that they're offering readings and what information they require from a querent.
-Look for their posts in the thread to determine what's needed and before posting, check if they finished reading already.
-Some readers will refuse to do certain readings - respect that choice. Also, bullshit queries will get bullshit answers.
-An "air query" can be made to no one in particular, but no one in particular may answer!
-Avoid making the same question over and over and/or to different readers, as this may lead to more confusion than clarification
-Please refer to the Dream General threads for dream interpretation

I'll be performing up to three tarot readings within the next two hour span after this post.
>Notes: Cramming in a bunch of empty words is not what I mean by detail; Explaining the query clearly by providing any relevant information and descriptors is what I mean by detail (exempli gratia, romantic relationship, professional project, financial situation). I am slow, and will refuse to read for you if you fail to meet *ALL* the guidelines and requisites in one post.
Guidelines:
1: No death queries
2: No binary queries (Queries that have yes or no answers)
3: No vague/unclear/badly written/unintelligible queries
4: No generic/general queries, specific questions *only*
5: One question/thing to be read for per query (Asking for more than one thing to be read even if it is similar/related/rephrased in the query results in automatic disqualification)
6: No queries over 140 characters long. (Gender/Favorite Thing/Shape & Color text *do not* count towards 140 character limit, everything else *does*)
7: Be detailed, but concise (See Good Query examples for an idea of what that means)
8: Use proper punctuation and sentence structure. There's a difference in meaning between "Helping Jack off a horse" and "Helping Jack, off a horse."
Bad Query: "What should I focus on in my academics/career?"
Good Query: "What aspect of my career should I focus on?"
Bad Query "What are results of project?"
Good Query: "What will be the final result of the personal project I'm currently focused on?"
Bad Query: "I just moved in to a new city, have a new job, and met this really nice guy. Will we have a relationship?"
Good Query: "Is there potential for a romantic relationship with the really nice guy I recently met and am interested in?"
____
Requisites:
>Gender:
>Shape & Color:
>Favorite Thing: (exempli gratia, the smell of cooking bacon, soaking my feet in a stream, the cool side of a pillow)
>Query:
Doing some readings, at least [3]. Anyone interested, i will need
>Gender
>Sign
>Query
>A word that describes how you feel right now
Keep in mind i take my time and as always, i hope i can help.

Painting in my room. Two masked women playing instruments. A violin and a cello.
Will I eventually find peace after moving away from it all and living alone as I plan?
biokinesis, what are your thoughts on it?, i always thought it was total bullshit until a close friend of mine actually tried it, and it appearlently made a very visible effect

what is that supposed to mean
what is biokinesis is that controlling the uncontrollable parts of your body? If so it's odd. More science related than paranormal as well.
