I'll never get tired of these old, simple Game Boy tunes.
I'd delete the thread OP and start again with a non dank meme OP pic.

This. You're fucked OP this board is filled to the brim with autists who need to spew their "hate" towards /v/ in order to feel like they fit in even though they probably have like five tabs of /v/ threads open while they post here.
Stop right there, you Goddamn niggers. It's time to fucking:
> DO THE DONKEY KONG!!!

I did your Donkey Mom m8
>>2908101
I stretched ur mum's anus with my Donkey Kong.
Then she licked my Diddy.
Barrel slinging menace time. Fuck yeah!
What does /vr/ think of the Valkyrie series?

one of my favorite arcade games.
>>2908062
I have only played the game you posted,i am not a big fan of platformers a la Zelda but i liked it.
>>2908079
I'd fuck that slut.
What is the name of this cowboy game? In this video it says it's the first Nintendo game ever.

Sheriff
Is it Sheriff?
Are you sure it's not Wild Gunman?
I'm playing Snatcher for the first time right now, just finished act 2, and I really really like it.
What are some other good cyberpunk games, preferably with a Bladerunner-esque/technoir feeling? I know about Bladerunner for PC and Shadow Run, but I'm not that interested in Shadow Run.
Tetris is pretty dope and also widely considered as being the spiritual predecessor to Snatcher.
>>2907880
uhhh
deus ex maybe? there's SMT which is sometimes kind of hard boiled and cyberpunk-ish
I'm honestly having a lot of trouble with this one even if I go into modern games, hardly anything goes that route of cybertech, grit, and manliness anymore.
and of course nothing will look or feel as good as snatcher
>>2907880
Rise of the Dragon.
its for sega cd or pc
sounds right up your ally.
The Highest Random Encounter Rate Ever
>>2907869
Mother 1. Jesus it honestly made the game a crawl for me, but it's good if you like grinding, which I don't mind
>>2907869
It needed to be because even with a million random encounters you can finish it in under 15 hours.
>>2907869
Breath of fire 2 is really bad for it.
I would like everyone's insight on some of the good emulator frontends available right now.
It seems like many of these frontends are extremely customizable but lack really useful features, or have useful features but suck at everything else or have little things about them that are annoying.
>>2907764
I would like to add:
Over the past few weeks I've pretty much collected all the mame roms/chds, console goodsets & no-intro collections (not sure which sets I'm going to use), and have been fiddling around with frontends. Basically I'm on a quest the find the least shittiest frontend. I'm treating this as a serious project, so once I am satisfied with my rom collection and frontend setup I will most likely be building a separate computer for this so I can use on a CRT, or possibly building an arcade cabinet setup with console controller inputs on the side to use with genuine controllers.
I was really intent on setting up a hyperspin machine but after fiddling around with it for a week or so I honestly don't care too much for all the visual bells and whistles and I find the flash animations and all of that kind of tacky. I'd much prefer a simple interface, with maybe a screen shot or short gif/video clip at the absolute most. I know I can configure hyperspin with a cleaner interface but it seems to have a lot of problems handling some rom collections (a number of other frontends I tried have this issue too). Maybe I'll come back to hyperspin eventually when I have enough patience.
Frontend for what? To launch games on your PC from? Retroarch. To run on a MAME cab or some shit? Hyperspin.
>>2907764
>I would like everyone's insight on some of the good emulator frontends available right now.
No
We get enough spam here as is without threads like these grabbing the attention of Retroarch shills. There's already an Emulation General to contain this cancer, so I suggest you post there instead of cluttering the board with another pointless shill circlejerk.
So, what are the best games for SNES?
Already own some decent, but standard games.
>lufia
>super soccer
>super Mario World
>super Mario allstars
Reasons and description of the games are highly appreciated.
Also, which Gameboy games are compatible with the super Gameboy?
>asking because I'd love to play pokemon on my snes
Thanks guys
>pic related, my retro consoles
there is lists in every conceivable format online. there is no hidden gems on a 24 year old system.

but i want to ask people who actually know about these console
most of the list online are just not really good

Squaresoft RPGs
Thoughts on System Shock series?
SS2 often gets praised for the being the best, but I always thought SS1 was far superior. At least from a game design standpoint.
They're both really fun.
I don't bother comparing them since they're so different and good for different reasons. I just enjoy both for what they offer.
I preferred the cyberpunk feel of SS1.
And it's a shame that SS2 spoiled the reveal of Shodan by plastering her all over the game.
Maybe if the Enhanced Edition bothered to have an inverted mouse option I would speak highly of it but for now it's just a repackage of mods to me.
>Better than Metal Gear Solid
What are some hilarious things that magazines said back in the day? Like Croc being better than Mario 64 or similar.
>FFVII
>movie-length ending
Rise of the Robots received several 90%+ reviews.
did they get sued for this?

I've always lost it to this fucking gif everytime
How do cacodemons open doors?
Jagged Alliance is on sale on gog.com so as someone who likes to catch up on classics I think this is finally the oppertunity I've been waiting for.
My question is, is it worth playing all three games or just the infamous Jagged Alliance 2?
I'd just go straight for 2 if I were you.
Just 2.

ITT we discuss 32/64 bit western action games
This one got a lot of marketing push in Europe, I found it quite mediocre, what do you think?
This One is pretty good. Rather hard, but good. Really nice action set-pieces. Pain in the ass to google though.
>>2907684
I remember it had very nice graphics, but didn't enjoyed at the time.
Anyone else enjoyed Forsaken back then?
So...why was this added in Sonic CD?
why not

How does one get into collecting?
I have a knock off NES I bought for $20 and Mach Rider, Kung Fu, and Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. I also have an Atari 2600 Jr. with Berzerk and Yar's Revenge. Now what?*
Okay so the next part is the most difficult and time consuming one.
Make sure you read through this comprehensive advise I am going to give to you, many many times.
Alright are you ready??
The next step is to buy more games.
Good luck
>>2907565
get an old crt tv, post up on the floor and play that shit
>>2907565
You're picking a really bad time to be a collector. Most collectors started by picking up games from local swap meets and thrift stores, but people are quickly discovering that used classic games go for A LOT online. Plus, now that FUCKING GAMESTOP buys old console games, even fewer people are donating them to charities or selling them at garage sales.
The only thing you have going for you is that you don't own much, so finding something you don't already have should be a bit easier. But if you're in my boat, it's so hard to find things nowadays.Best catch I ever got was Duck Tales 2, the NES version, from a thrift store for 7 bucks. But that was about 8 years ago. Happy hunting though.
