Anyone else played this? It's surprisingly pretty good.
>>2909408
I was about to say an emphatic yes, but then noticed the Gameboy. Didn't even know a GB Rayearth existed.
The Saturn game is fantastic though, and gorgeous. I've played the hell out of that one.
>>2909418
It's actually a pretty good fun dungeon crawler. You should try it out.
Play this? What even is it? I don't read Japanese Op. Fuck.
I guess this topic will be retro enough :P.
I am searching the Doujin Game called "R + R " for the X68k from Nin- Nici .
Searched for this friggin Gameimage for a whole day now and can't find it. Can somebody help me?
It's part of this big X68k shooter set: https://mega.nz/#!AoYnWIqY!gQuukAi1QMV5XYMw8JLSwp2FfcH1jOyS3ewU2sxSRe4
This and other arcade-style games on the system really need loving.
Great Thanks! This will set my x68000 on fire! haha

don't guess. thanks.
Do you like Puyo Puyo?
Are you good at it?
I always loved this game ever since I first played it under the name "Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine" and later found out about the actual original version, Puyo Puyo 2 on Megadrive.
Something about Puyo Puyo really clicks with me, I kind of enter a trance state that's very relaxing but exciting at the same time.
Often when I play Puyo Puyo before going to bed, I keep "playing" in my mind when I close my eyes before falling asleep, my brain is still chaining puyos.
But I never really got good at it, I get that the idea is to build it up in a way to make chain reaction, but most of the time I do a chain of 4 or more it's pure luck, it still feels good though.
Playing against the CPU on stage 8 seems impossible, the blocks fall way too fast and the CPU never fails and fucks me up without giving me any chance.
I seem to remember the Robotnik game was a bit easier than the original Puyo Puyo 2, but I'm not sure.
Is the CPU cheating a lot, or I just need to get better? Because I honestly don't seem to be getting any better, but I'll keep trying, I'm having fun anyway.

>I seem to remember the Robotnik game was a bit easier than the original Puyo Puyo 2, but I'm not sure.
Mean Bean was based on the first puyo puyo and it was significantly harder due to the AI being more merciless, the inability to rotate blocks unless you had space for it, and the lack of counter system (whoever built a screen-filling combo first, won).
Puyo Puyo 2 allowed you to rotate blocks when there was no space to do so, like a 1-block narrow pit. This also allowed you to roll them upwards a few spaces, and to place them heavily off screen (1-2 rows above the play screen). And it had a counter system, wherein if you did a combo, and then the other player did a combo before the junk fell down, his combo score would cancel out the junk and he'd have less crap falling into the screen, or none at all.
I think it was also Puyo 2 which added the "zen shuu" bonus, where if you make the screen completely empty, your next combo starts with a huge bonus multiplier.
Puyo Puyo Sun tried making things faster with junk counters triggering Sun puyos, which added a huge multiplier.
>Do you like Puyo Puyo?
Yes
>Are you good at it?
No. I bet if I played it more I would get better but I'm honestly not that invested in it, I mostly just like it because of the Madou Monogatari characters.
>>2909373
>I mostly just like it because of the Madou Monogatari characters.
I want someone to make a CNX format compresser, so I can translate shit in the Saturn Madou Monogatari and Waku Puyo games.

>Just beat Quake 2
I am so late to the party it's not even funny...
>>2909252
The single player was pretty atrocious in Quake 2. The only saving grace is the stellar soundtrack.
>>2909261
I thought the single player was pretty good. The soundtrack for me was the weakest part. A real step backwards from the quake 1 soundtrack.
Meathead metal chugging just doesn't give the same great atmosphere.
>>2909261
What. I liked it a lot. It added a lot more varied environments than Quake 1, so you could make out where the hell you were at all times. Now, Quake 1 had better pacing for sure, but I like the single player in Q2 as well.
What are some good Sega CD games I can get complete for under $30?
As of now I only own Sonic CD and Sewer Shark.
All of them
Heimdall
>>2909237
This, really. You're going to be paying an arm and a leg for any of the decent Sega CD games at this point.
I know well the pain of having a Sega CD and pretty much just Sewer Shark. I think there was a time my Stockholm syndrome was so bad I almost didn't hate it.
Hello, i plan on buying a Japanese Gameboy color online, can you recommend me some good website where i can find that kind of product ?
>>2909114
eBay
Why does it have to be Japanese?
>>2909119
Gameboys are not zoned and japanese people generaly take good care of their stuff so it's easier to find cheap and good consoles from Japan.
Beside ebay do you know some specialized wesite ?

After seeing the AGDQs I decided to play this game for the first time. I have played Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker and my favourite Link's Awakening plenty of times already, but somehow I just cannot seem to get into it.
It starts so slow and I always lose interest once I am inside the castle right at the beginning. I have tried plenty of times now to get past it, but I just feel restless and give up, like it's not really worth it.
I do want to see the mastersword rest forever, but the beginning is just so incredibly dull. The other Zelders I mentioned all started off pretty well in comparison.
What am I not getting?
I always found it massively dull and stretched out and not as good as the first two or Link's Awakening so I guess I'm missing something too.
>I always lose interest once I am inside the castle right at the beginning
So, what, that's like three minutes?
>>2909090
Takes like 1 minute to get in there from the start of the game.
What do you think about this gem /vr/?
that's not a gem that's a video game
I love Binky
>another garbage NTSC cover
I don't even know what this shit is. It's not the artstyle of the game, books, or the animated show.
> ITT: Great games that don't get enough love
> no meme-games edition
Fans of this game already remember the title screen fanfare music.

>>2908617
How is anybody supposed to be able to read that?
Nor pronounce it, for that matter.
How about Crystalis?
I think its somewhat more popular on /vr/ but overall man this game is overlooked. Like a much better polished Zelda with light RPG elements and some post-apocalyptic influence in the setting.

If you see they did rewrite it in plain text underneath... in Japan it was called Arabian Dream: Scheherezade.
If you could play five (5) SNES games while stranded on an island for an indefinite amount of time, which would they be?
>Terranigma
>Super Metroid
>Final Fantasy IV
>Top Gear 2
>Megaman X, sorry Earthbound
>>2908584
Super Metroid
Donkey kong country
Secret of Mana
Chrono Trigger
Secret of Evermore
>>2908596
I'm ashamed to say I never played Secret of Evermore. Where would yo rank it among Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger?
Or was your post in order of importance?
>>2908604
If looking through my own biased eyes then evermore is at the top because that's what I have played at my childhood. But objectively I'd say Chrono Trigger is at the top and Mana/Evermore both take the last two places in no order because it's hard to say. Both have their own quirks/story/etc. Althrough both are epic games. You should play evermore

What has been your experience purchasing chinese flashcarts on AliExpress? Which do you recommend for NES, Genesis, or Gameboy?

How powerful or capable would you say Ristar is compared to other characters like Mario, Sonic or Megaman?
He looks like a cosmic being, maybe he's more comparable to someone like Kirby
Why is a star smaller than the planets?

"Shooting Star". It's a colloquial thing.
