What does /toy/ think of LEGO?

Not just current stuff, but in general. From the it's inception to today. Let's discuss what we think of these damn bricks. How we discovered them, what we dislike. What we wish could happen. I dunno. Fucking LEGO.

I started building my lego city 7-8 years ago, and I love it. I have major plans for my city, but can't materialise them 'till I move out in a few years. I want tons of it for Christmas, and I am no longer afraid to say to girls that I like, and own lego. In fact, they will often say that have played with it themselves.
I like the older city stuff, but nowadays it's mostly crap and such. I usually get creator for christmas, and maybe some themed sets, like the Simpsons, Harry Potter, Pirates of he Carribean, etc.
I am also a big fan of collectible minifigures, and own about 200 of them (may be much less, may be much more). My favourite series is the London Olypics series, and have them all except for that blonde girl with the unitard.
The price doesn't bother me at all as long as it's a good set. There are more expensive hobbies, and you will never truly go tired of lego.
Pic rel: my lego city. sorry for bad lighting

The wild ride is almost over!

The mold looks mostly the part, but why the black head, come on hasbro You just needed to mold the head the same as the body grey and ya blew it

Also judging from the post from the old thread in >>6080628 and >>6080632 it seems the legs are a tad floppy, at least the review is truthful but non-subscribers to the source wouldn't of know if not for the kind person who shared this

Word of caution, same factories, you may get that extra slop of paint you crave but the same factories make them, chances are it could just as bad, if not worse (my LG wheelie reminded me, curse my color preference!), choose wisely but at the end of the day its your toy you can do as you please.

Oh well, more new stuff coming, wonder what other deluxes wave 4 will get other than perceptor and kup, let the guessing game begin!

I'm happy people are glad they've finally got all of the Seekers and Elite Seekers, but man, they really should've updated that mold or redone it by now. It's just not that good.

At this point your only hope for a good MP-Seeker-Anything is pretty much 3P's, who haven't really touched those characters in terms of MP-alikes.

Also Kup looks good. Can't wait for the next wave, wave 3 is only going to see me getting Doublecross, Triggerhappy, and the 3 Legends figures anyway. Getaway is a "Literally Who?" and Hotrod is alright, but I own the MP and that fulfills my need for a "Perfect" Hotrod. And yeah I know Getaway's from IDW, but no one gives a shit about him in it either besides him being a shitty traitor.

Sup /toy/
Been having the itch to try out a fun new toy line lately, I mostly collect Lego, megabloks, Neca Preds/aliens, Gundam models, and the occasional capeshit. Was wondering if anyone had some good recommendations?
What I'm mostly looking for is something that's an original property, kinda like pic related. I'd like to get into an ongoing toy line, but if it's dead oh well. Some bonus points are-
Posabilty
Parts swapping
Anything aliens or robots
Playability(overall fun factor)
Affordable
The only must for me is it's decently affordable/accessible. Any help would be much appreciated!

Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here

It's the eve of the first Christmas, but not all is well. Someone has threatened to attack the manger Joseph and Mary are using for shelter and the future savior is in danger! You are God's head of security and have been tasked with selecting anyone or anything from the multiverse capable enough to defend the nativity until baby Jesus is born. Who do you summon?

Those aren't toys at all. They're bottle openers that happen to be shaped like people.

A "figure" is a figure, and depending on intended purpose may or may not be a toy. An action figure is a toy.

***Non-Gundam Group Build***

So this is pretty straightforward, build something that isn't Gundam. I literally do not care what it is, if it's not Gundam it counts (and just to get this out of the way, Bandai is fine). I do not require full paint jobs this time either, as I know the vast majority of people here build Bandai and that's it.

This is also not a prize build, but a regular group build.

Have you guys ever seen any of the pieces done by Tomoo Yamaji? He does stuff that transforms, but usually with an abstract look.

I need your help m8s.

My friend used to have a toy of a transforming robot thing. Not a branded transformer but something similar. He wants to know what it was called. l'll describe it. All help is welcome.

1. It was an orange parasarolophus. (i.e. the picture.)

2. It turned into a car. Not a full car it just kind of folded down and had wheels on it.

3. The tail was made of a gray plastic. Slightly rubbery.

4. There was a guy you would put in the back. I remember the figures were kind of a power rangers rip off. They looked a bit like kamen riders.

5. The line also has a robot pterodactyl with the same concept to it.

6. Gun to my head i think it came out around 2005.

Thank you. If anyone can tell me the name of the line or anything relating to it it is greatly appreciated.
