I'm moving house soon and want to take my figures with me. I have too many that it'd be impractical to put all of them back in their box and package the boxes. Instead I'm going to put the boxes away in storage and take the figures with me.

Any advice for how to pack loose figures for transport? I'm think of just filling a box with packing peanuts and plopping the figures in there. For reference they'll be travelling with me in my car, not in a moving truck.

If anyone's had this experience before I'd love to hear how you handled it.

for starters storing the boxes away from you is basically asking them to be tossed out. They won't age well in storage like that and will likely be destroyed from the fluxes of hot and cold they will take on.
Beyond that the toys boils down to how much you care about them and how long you are on the road. you could bind them individually in bubble wrap and store them in the box, that would lead to the best safety without damage.
>>
>>6096416
A distinction needs to be made: Are these all import figures, all domestic figures, or a mix?

If they're domestic figures, just put them in a box without padding. They'll shuffle together like the insides of a potato chip bag and be fine. They're made to withstand 5 year olds, after all.

If they're import figures, maybe you kept the original boxes for the important ones? If not, buy a tackle box and store the accessories in there, ideally separating every individual figures parts for easy reuniting. Then wrap up the figures in the foam wrap. If possible I would recommend not leaving any hands or heads on the figures and store them with the other accessories.

Why didn't the stack on the bottom disappear first

The joke would be better if they had a tall, thin box to stack on the edge of the pallet.

Which is the best version of the Riot Control Trooper? I dont think I want the Black Series. Is Mafex or SH Figuarts better?

Figuarts. However its just that-- the Riot Trooper.

The MAFEX one comes with rifle, pistol, and the riot gear. Figuarts doesn't come with any guns and I'm not sure it even comes with a trigger hand.

Hmm sounds like Mafex is the way to go for me then. It looks good

Apparently they've started shipping more than books/CDs internationally. I.e. you can now buy Japanese plastic crack directly from them

When did this happen? Anyone tried it out yet?

>>
Don't know how long it's been, but it's iffy about how something qualifies so I still filter by AmazonGlobal eligible. Some figma and most Figuarts don't qualify even if the seller is Amazon. Also Amazon usually does DHL instead of some slower service if you normally use that.

Thinking about ordering MP Megatron and some other Transformers.
>>
Neat, more Japanese sites should do this why not
>>
>>6092409
Yeah the selection seems quite limited after applying the AmazonGlobal filter. Sadly, most candy toy lines don't seem to qualify even if AmazonJP is the seller (SHODO VS, Minipla, Converge, Assault Kingdom, etc.)

Can anybody help me?

I got this sword a few days ago but I have no idea who it belongs to, I can not identify if it is from Hasbro, Bandai, Mattel or any other company.

Do any of you know the origin of this sword?

It almost looks like something you'd see with a LOTR figure from Toybiz... Elvish blade or some shit?
>>
>>6091648
I doubt it.

I am collector of LOTR series and I have almost all the figures, besides the proportions of the sword are too big for a standard figure of 6 inches, literally the sword is almost the same size as a basic figure of marvel legends, but I can not specify Whether it was part of a BAF figure or a Marvel Select

For those unfamiliar, "Plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model." If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.

***Non-Gundam Group Build***

So this is pretty straightforward, build something that isn't Gundam. I literally do not care what it is, if it's not Gundam it counts (and just to get this out of the way, Bandai is fine). I do not require full paint jobs this time either, as I know the vast majority of people here build Bandai and that's it.

This is also not a prize build, but a regular group build.

Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here
>Check the BST threads, My Figure Collection for any offer/deal
