Hello, didn't want to post somewhere I shouldn't nor did I really want to be the one to start up a new Marvel Thread but I am anyway.
I was the same guy asking about the Civil War set about two weeks ago- at that time it was £32 on Amazon but now it's £23.
I'm tempted at that price but my spending has kinda got abit out of hand- now I can afford the stuff so normally I just shrug it off but it's a little frustrating.
I haven't got any Marvel figures but loved Civil War. I really like the look of some of these figures and was tempted anyway. Scarlet Witch for example would be one I'd like to get.
I'm a UKer so it may be harder to collect things like it is with SW (My main/only collecting passion).
I also noticed in ASDA, they had the CW figures for £13, the same price Argos has SW TBS 6" at the moment.
THey only had Falcon, Winter Soldier and Sharon Carter but I've not seen anything other than them.
The question is do I get the three pack- Spidey, Cap, Iron Man battle damaged and then the ASDA figures or do I hold off.
If I wait off on the 3 pack, it won't be available at that price in January?

Hey /toy/ how about this:
Recreate an iconic scene using action figures. It could be a movie/TV scene, album cover, news photo, work of art*, internet meme, whatever, as long as it's something that is ingrained in people's minds. Something, as I said, iconic.
No heavy rules, except just really, honestly do your best. Don't apologize for the type of setup/lighting/camera/whatever, just do your absolute best and let the work stand as it is.
You can use Photoshop, or any photo editing software you like, you aren't bound by making it all "real". You don't have to use wires, or cutouts or alleyway backdrops.
Recreate the scene using something oddball if you like. Kaiju reenacting the Last Supper, Transformers reenacting the VJ day Times Square kiss. Have fun with it. Just do your best.
Here's a couple to get the ball rolling.
*INB4 somebody just takes a pic of one of the Table Museum Figmas. Come on man, that's too easy.

I would never consider buying something and then reselling it later at whatever price it's worth scalping.
To me in order to be considered a scalper you have to be interrupting the supply. For example an item is released in a limited edition of 20 and somebody camps the release and buys 15 just to resell at quadruple the price. That's scalping to me because the person is literally preventing others from getting the product at its intended price.
In the scenario you presented you purchased the item because you liked it at the time and are merely reselling it later for what it's currently worth on the second hand market. I see no scalping there.
What are your favorite dead toylines /toy/? Whether the company shut down or they just lost their license what toys do YOU fondly remember collecting?
Personally I loved McFarlane's halo reach line, they had their issues but they were very cheap for the quality of the paint and sculpt. Articulation wasn't too bad either if you knew how to work with them.
