Previously, you finally resolved the various problems that you mostly created and found out that even Aash has limits.

It feels like all the excitement of the recent hour or so is finally winding down. Elle is subdued and awake and is undoing the damage she did to Oster while Aashenpreet keeps watch. Your rift with Zigzag seems to have come to at least a temporary close and your own brush with inhumanity resolved. Aashenpreet even paid off the innkeeper for you so hopefully he won’t bother you about the ruined door or dented ceiling.
Peace has returned but peace has its own different dangers which you discovered as soon as you asked Reggie about his dream girl.
While you’ve never known him particularly well you’ve known since your first meeting that Reggie has an interest in humanity that could be termed ...unwholesome. Not particularly harmful mind you but one that is still rather unpleasant, particularly when you foolishly invite him to talk your ear off about his fascination. You eventually manage to fob him off politely but only after losing nearly ten minutes to uncomfortable details that will not be repeated here. You can only hear so much about a girl’s beauty and purity (he particularly emphasized this part for despite his fascination he still seems to find sexual contact with a human disgusting and demeaning) before wishing for death. You leave him with Zigzag and pretend not to notice her look of betrayal.
Noon has now well and truly passed but the day is not yet over.
>Go downstairs and try to explain yourself to the innkeeper.
>You’ve been wanting to go shopping for alchemy products for a while now.

How do you guys deal with bad luck in your rolls?
One of my players can't seem to roll more than 11 in a d20, i have allowed him to reroll a few times but what else can i do?
Then the character is unlucky as well. Try new dice.
>>45307371
The dice are probably fucked. Let him borrow your d20 for a session. If he still rolls like shit, never let him have a character with high luck when applicable.
Roll 3d6 instead.

You take the role of a young mage labeled a criminal by his people and cast out into the wider world. In the last thread you returned to the surface and tried on a new suit of armor.

Using names or trips in this quest is heavily discouraged. While it is impossible for me to prevent you from doing so, I ask that you not. I will also not count any votes made while using names or trips.
You worry for Darzi. She looms before you as a confluence of golden threads flaring out brilliantly around the faint gleam of her soul. Wearing the Siege Armor the threads sing to you, whispering upon their gentle, thrumming rhythm the shallowest glimpse of what your friend and companion feels and thinks. It's as if with each step she takes a new note joins the symphony, casting light on what was previously hidden from you.
The overall impression you get of the symphony being played upon the strings of reality is a discordant one. Her thoughts are troubled, incredibly so. Is she jealous of you for some unknowable reason? Perhaps she feels powerless after your encounter beneath the palace, falling under the sway of that creature's influence while you resisted. Maybe it's simpler than that, perhaps she doesn't feel as though she contributes meaningfully to the party's well-being.
On the other hand, it could be more complicated. She could feel as though it's unfair that you routinely make immense errors in judgment and yet none of the party have died, yet she made a relatively minor error and got her entire command killed because of it. Briefly you worry if she intends on abandoning the party to pursue her own goals, to settle down and live in peace. She could be troubled by the thought of leaving.
(1/2)
It could be any of these things, none of them, or some combination of several. You can't glean the cause of her feelings simply from discerning her surface thoughts, only the feelings themselves. It's a frustrating predicament, and perhaps reveals one of Nature Magic's failings. With vys alone, one is only able to gain the vaguest impression of the thoughts of others. There is no substance, nor depth, to the brief snatches of emotion the chords reveal.
You're drawn reluctantly from your contemplation as Darzi begins to speak. You don't think you can actually hear her, the helmet lacked any obvious avenues to allow the passage of sound. Rather you pick up upon what she's saying because of the subtle shifts in the music played upon reality's strings. Curiosity, tinged with worry and a subtle note of fear. {Is that you, Mikhael? I can't recall seeing you in that suit of armor before.}
>Get straight to the point, what's been bothering her lately.
>Propose that she change into her Elaudian Armor and the two of you spar a bit.
>Ask her to attack you, let's find out just how sturdy this armor is.
>Write-in

>What's the general thought on the new LAM rules? After the storm they initially generated, things seem pretty quiet, which makes me hope that people are at least content with them now.
I've done a couple test engagements and they finally seem to be working as intended.
They're still glass-cannons that have most of their effect as highly-mobile area denial rather than an effective combat unit, they can ram hard enough to take down a dropship, and one good fuck-up means you've lost it. Also, the BV bloat is now somewhat closer to their actual combat worth - you can tie up just about the right amount of BV with one, although killing enough enemies to justify the purchase (and/or the enemy's panic levels..) is much harder with the canon designs. Interestingly, an LB-5X-equipped VTOL seems to be the best weapon system to deal with LAMs, and costs miniscule fractions of the price - which amuses the shit out of me.
Fantasy Craft is a d20 P&P RPG using the OGL. It's geared towards cinematic play where every character can contribute, with solid mechanics designed to give groups lots of flexibility to tailor games to individual preferences. Rather than just a set of bolt-on additions to the OGL d20 system, Fantasy Craft tears it all down and rebuilds from the ground up, steering clear of the major pitfalls of other OGL games and aiming for a more cinematic, narrative-focused style.
Noteworthy points:
>Drastically reined-in magic system putting casters on equal footing with non-casters
>Classes and the game as a whole designed to ensure everyone can contribute in a wide range of circumstances, even outside their primary niche
>Separate cash and Reputation economies keep mundane gear relevant and magic items special
>Custom monster and NPC design is a breeze
>Optional Campaign Qualities tweak mechanics to suit your preferred style and tone

Your name is Amy Nakamura, a 17 year old void Oni, and you’re having a conversation with your Grandfather. Specifically about Oni binding. What he told you is starting to piss you off. Why the fuck do you have to be bound to “reach your maximum potential faster”? What a load of shit, stupid Oni blood, stupid Kami for making you have to deal with this shit. Trish is just staring at you as you go through a whole bunch of different emotions at once, Grandfather on the other hand has resumed his innocent old man act and is smiling at you. You calm down and count to ten.
“Thank you for sharing Grandfather,” You say while touching the spot on your neck where that damnable chain was “We would’ve been lost without your help.” Grandfather just smiles wider at you, and then winks at Trish.
“I can tell when you’re lying, Saiai.” He responds, using his nickname for you. “I know I wasn’t of much help but maybe I can do something more. I can tell you where the person who I learned this from lives, it’s the least I could do to help you learn and come to terms with yourself.”
>W-we’re not talking about ME! This was for a friend

Whenever we talk about aliens interacting with humans it's always about how powerful we are, and how they'd love human sex, but what about those awkward moments?
Like say a human diplomat is thought to be a sexual deviant because blinking is an offer to mate to them, and by the goddess he just won't stop "offering to mate" with EVERYONE. Male, female, helzian, even to the young!
Writefaggotry welcome.
You can make a paralel with other culture for example, you don't usually shake hands in some asian country.
>You were sent alien space station by mistake, it seems like you take the wrong shuttle and your are not in human territory
>You are completly lost, everyone in the hub is everything but human
>You build up the courage to go talk to this strange tentacles mass, not the best idea to think but you are to nervous and stressed to have a cohesive thought
>E-excuse me?
>you raise your hands to shake one of it's tentacles
>it seems like the crowd is now looking at you, nobody there, in the depth of space ever saw a human
>The tentacle mass scream at what it views as an agression, some races are known to throw their reproductive fluids with their upper appendinces
>you are sent in the station cell and you are registred as a sex offender
>>45303083
How about aliens instinctively view long-haired men and most women to be above the others because that kind of style is what separates their royalty from the peasants, and even after being told it's not like that for humans they still instinctively show them much more respect than short-haired ones, which most of the species would view as equals?
>Aliens think Human's ability to burp is fucking hilarious
>Ditto on hiccups
>While they can chug antifreeze, they find our ability to tolerate and in fact *enjoy* caffeine is interesting
>They find out inability to breath and eat, or talk and eat, is weird. You haven't been in a tense situation than being the sole human at a dinner table and finding a moment to talk.
>Even worse when you start coughing
>Human preference to consume "natural" protein has us seen as savages by some
>Others impressed by our ability to endure lactose after infancy
>Aliens find our extremely expressive faces very weird, almost eerie. After First Contact, some alien horror movies featured monsters with surprisingly human faces, much to our annoyance.
