What a wonderful morning, I smile happily as I lean forward to take a sip of my coffee. Not too cold or too hot, just the perfect inbetween, a nice toasty warm. I sigh and lift my grandpa's hat up by the bite hole in the lip of it.

Well this is fixing to be a fantastic day already, the sun is up and burning bright, I got a cup of coffee to keep me from falling into the horrible dark place called sleep. Real nice day, Didn't even get any nasty looks when I was walking over here, then again most of the folks I walked past flinched and all, so I don't think they're really adjusted to me yet, but I think I made a bit of progress.

I lean back, looking out at Lolly town, watching the oh so colorful windmills spin round and round. Wonderful little place, the grass is so green and lively looking here, not anything like old Tumbling weed..but it lacks a certain charm of home, I mean there's plenty of room to run and just watch the clouds float on by but...I don't know, it's just missing something.

I frown and take another sip of coffee, well no need in depressing myself on such a nice day like this. I mean I can't be sad and down on my first real assignment on an actual government ship.

A big old grin creeps over my face as I kick my legs back and forth excitedly, looking at my dusky reflection in my cup of coffee.

Wouldn't grampa be proud, it's actually making me nervous. I mean, I never learned how to swim even before I ate the Akumu Akumu no mi.

I sigh and take another sip of coffee...Think I still got some time before I have to report to the ship.

What do I do?
[] go to town and buy somethings
[] Get one last cup of GOOD coffee
[]Make sure Omachu is awake
[] Go to the ship early, just in case
[] Try and make more friends
[] mess around with my powers

Best GM I've ever had
>Campaigns always prepared in advance, but with miriads of scenarios and possibilities, giving complete free will while being ready for literally everything
>Story is tailored for the players, instead of expectations about their characters, avoiding the dreaded "but your character should have reacted like that" mess when less skilled players are involved
>Always went to great lenghts to ensure everyone had always enough free time to play and the game day was suitable for everyone
>Always have complete set of notes and always remember where to search for old facts
>Always fresh supply of stationery supplies for everyone
>Uses a whiteboard instead of scribbling on some small piece of paper to present situation during combat
>Is no actor, but still delivers as various NPCs without coming out cheesy, simply by making them distinctive characters instead of one-dimensional placeholders
>If weather allows, organises the game in some interesting local site or outright makes a picnic
>Game starting in the morning: makes break always half past noon, with fresh pastry and coffee for everyone
>Game time in the evening: dinner for everyone and can actually cook

Shame he moved out for better-paying job on the other half of the country.

I don't understand why servitors, tg.
>Artificial intelligence is prohibited under pain of execution by Imperial edict within the Imperium of Man unless a human mind is combined with it or serves as part of its mechanism
>Servitors are mindless cybernetic drones created from a fusion of human flesh and robotic technology used to carry out simple, manual tasks across the Imperium of Man
So they are just machines, like conveyor automation we have today. Then won't it be more effective to use simple robots? Bare mechanisms? I bet it is harder to combine living tissue with machinery and it will also be harder to protect it from damage and malfunction.
Servitors look impractical.

>>You are AZURE, a machine with a mind, and you and your companions are within an ancient lab dating from before the Great War, hidden behind miles of bioweapon-contaminated wasteland. Currently, you're scouring it for medical technology and information. But as you explore, you find that there's more hidden here than you thought.

The Architect leads you through dim, dark hallways, completely silent save for the hissing and thunking servos in your ATLAS. Green light-strips flick on as you walk, leading you through door after door. The base is expansive, and in a slight state of disrepair. More than once, The architect gives you a "PLEASE WAIT..." and leads you through a detour or cramped maintenance tunnel in order to bypass collapsed sections of the laboratory. Finally, after what seems like an hour, you enter a large room, filled with heavy machinery.
"WARNING." The Architect booms. "THIS LOCATION IS - ZZZZT."
The painful erratic buzz sounds just as the floor beneath you begins to hiss. It slowly begins to lower, and the architect's spherical interface lowers with it, constantly buzzing at you in order to give you warnings- not to bring in contaminants, not to bring in weapons, not to bring in unauthorized personnel, not to bring with you test subjects... It's a long spiel, and you're already breaking most of those warnings anyway in order to get down to the computer core.

The ride down the lift takes only a fraction of the time you spent walking here, but it almost feels longer, with the Architect pestering you.

However, when the lift finally pulls to a stop, and the large blast doors on the other end of the room open up...

If you could salivate, you would be doing so.

The chamber is enormous- a dome nearly 25 meters tall in the center, with huge blinking and whirring towers leaning against the walls. The entire dome is lit up brightly, and strange hexagonal panels are spaced out evenly along the floor of the room- beneath the panels are hollow glass prisms, mostly submerged in the ground and filled with some kind of liquid. You cannot quite see inside of them, due to angles involved- most of them are so submerged that you can barely see inside at all. Brilliant green light shines out of the crack between panel and floor, illuminating the bottom of the dome.

The walls are all clean, albeit slightly dusty, and according to your sensors, the room is so cold that it is in the negatives, celsius. Thick cables- three inches in diameter- are sprawled across the dome, strapped down in some places left loose in others.

A long, rusty streak spans across the ground, like someone had dragged something. At the other end of the trail is a human skeleton leaning on a fully-elevated prism, its clothes rotted away by time.

A man died here. The elevated prism that his corpse is leaning against is completely empty, though it gleams with the same pulsing green light that the rest of them do.

In the center of the dome, elevated on a dais, is a single chair in front of a large, imposing terminal.
On the screen itself is a mess of randomly-flickering symbols, scrolling by at speeds that your inhuman, computer-fast awareness finds hard to keep track of.

But however you look, no matter how much you try to figure it out... The symbols are just random noise.

"A-A-ACCESS GRANTED." The Architect buzzes, the voice modulator warping as it speaks. Since you've descended, it seems to be getting less and less table. The submerged prisms begin to pulse faster, and electromagnetic static begins to wash over you- emanating from the computers alongside the walls.

> CURRENT S̴̷͘͠O̢͠U̕҉҉͜L͢͟͢͡: HERACOR NAHIVE

The Necron Lord turned around and started to advance towards an indeterminate point with its back somewhat hunched and his ample shoulders softly waddling as they dragged behind a ragged cape that had been tailored aeons ago. Just a couple of minutes ago he had been joyfully glaring at you defiantly while your tank relentlessly advanced towards him but at the end its engines died and you became of little to no personal interest to him; afterwards he simply retreated kind of saddened for the lost of a worthy challenge and decided that you had to die not by his hands, but by the many Necron Warriors, Possessed and Scarabs that were under his command.

“Stop your relentless advance Xenos! This war has just started and I plan to live to see its end! I challenge thy to a duel to death here and now!”

He suddenly stopped on his tracks and turned around facing at you with its empty yet bright green eyes. Now that you faced at him more clearly you were able to see that his right arm was covered with a big clawed gauntlet that ascended towards his elbow and whose interior was filled with several thick green neon tubes that connected with his Necrodermis, on his left hand there was a firmly gripped Hyperphase Blade that glowed with an ethereal lux and whose edge seemed to phase in an out of reality.

With a simple mental order he sent a Scarab towards the nearest Possessed and made it latch onto its face. The Possessed man seemed to recover his control for a moment and for some short yet tense seconds he did nothing but scream and try to ask for help, just as his plea was starting to ask for the Emperor’s Mercy he was once again controlled by the alien construct; the man started to speak in a human yet ragged and dry voice, it was the Lord using him as a proxy between you two.”

“I am honorbound even with lowly species such as Humanity. I assure you that in case of my defeat I will allow you to continue with your ill fated escape. When my inevitable victory comes your men and you will be transformed by the Crypteks… you all should be proud thought; daughters and sons of Terra, due to your tenacity you have gained the right of being my personal servants for the rest of eternity.”

All around you several green pillars of green energy appeared from the ground and raised to the skies to the point of breaking the rocky ceiling, on the distance you saw an utterly alien landscape. The city was completely desolated, all its people and machines were now dead and abandoned, on the ground a thick orange mist covered it all, the newly formed energy beams now mixed with the orange hues and around them several Necron warriors of different shapes and sizes appeared along with several crescent moon shaped ships that started to ascend.

Hello, /osrg/. What's your opinion on guns in fantasy games?

Personally I'm fine with them, as long as they don't get broken rules associated with them.
>>
>>45319984
I'm cool early firearms. Just treat them as similar to normal weapons though.
>>
>>45319984
LotFP has good gun rules. All are flintlock/match, can also be used as a melee weapon and take 8/10 rounds to re-arm. So basically you get one shot per average combat. Lots of setbacks too, like damp conditions, distance, misfire chance etc.

My character right now is a Welsh Specialist gunslinger.
