So /tg/, how would you define a monster? I feel it's a vague term that can describe anything that invokes fear to unnatural beings separate from humans and animals.

You stand and call out to the mountain god, raising your staff in the air. The mountain god turns with surprising speed and smashes a fist down with a roar. The slope you're on trembles and shakes, sending Ebba tumbling down amid a shower of stones and dirt. You lunge forward, grabbing her with magic and hands both, but the movement only causes you to lose your footing, sending you falling after her. You pull your daughter in close, shielding her with your body as you both bounce and tumble down the steep side of the mountain. Your daughter is kept mostly safe in your arms, but you feel the unyielding earth batter your body, bruising you as you bounce off stones and the rolling terrain.
Looks like Enki was a little jumpy. Odd... Whatever's got him riled up, it must have him VERY angry indeed.
Your staff slips from your hands as you hurtle down the hillside, clattering away to land by itself. Small rocks and dirt rain down around you, pelting your skin and leaving small cuts and scrapes everywhere, but the worst of it comes as you bounce off a large, sharply-edged rock that protrudes from the ground. There's a muted crunch as you bounce off it and you grunt in pain as you feel something in your chest give way. Finally however, you slow to stop at the bottom, amid a cloud of dust and small stones.

>A cracked rib has slowed you down and drained your stamina. Lose 1 Strength until it is treated or you recover.
"Are you alright?" you ask the young woman curled up in your arms.
Ebba nods and stands, trembling a little. "I'm a bit shaken up," she admits, "But I'm fine." As she goes in search of your staff, the low thudding of heavy footfalls alerts you to Enki's presence.
"Thought you sky-god or storm-god come again," he rumbles, bowing his great, stony head a little. "See now you are Human-Trym. I mean you no harm. Why you come to mountains? Humans give good offering - I send no landslide or harm. Not fight near humans."
"The waters of Nila's river have stopped flowing," you explain, holding your ribs. It doesn't feel too bad; should heal well if you give it enough rest and maybe a little magic. "Without them, everything in the valley would whither and die and my people will suffer. The river is fed from these mountains. Do you know what could have caused the waters to weaken and stop so?"
"I know very well," Enki replies. "No rain. Mountains flow all rain into streams. Streams make river. River falls to Nila. But no rain in the mountains means no river. The Storm-god brings only wind and lightning now, as Sky-god tells him."
"Why's that?" you ask, frowning, as Ebba brings you your staff. It seems none the worse the wear for its fall and comes as great relief as you lean on it.
Enki knocks his two great fists together with the distinctive sound of boulders smashing against one another. "Sky-god and I feud. Argument leads to argument and to fight. Always same. Now, he sends Storm-god to fight. Storm-god is strong and violent. Smashes mountains and I fight back. No rain until storm brings it. Cannot help. Nila will be weak while I fight."
>>45361841
This is bad news. Who knows how long a fight like this could go on for? And all that time, only the meager trickle of mountain springs will feed Nila's pool and the river. If the sun continues to be so hot in the summer, she could die before Enki and this Sky god resolved their differences.
What will you do?
>Offer to speak on Enki's behalf
>Seek out this sky god to hear his side
>Offer to aid Enki in a fight against the storm god
>Tell Enki to submit and end the fighting
>Other

The Divinity Engine was completed and began funneling new divine essence into the cosmos.
Regolith finally got married.
Voluris courted and "took advantage" of Frakt for some reason.
New gods spawned and shit.
Morroth's essence was dispersed over his planet, creating a planet-wide jurassic park with dinosaurs, giant plants, mythological monsters and orks.
The Godhall was used to resolve a dispute.
Manoloth and Arethe created arts and dancing.
Nekomious created a surreal nightmarish planet, inhabited by cat girls.
Gol Durak started a cabal of cultist assassins.
Regolith made a order of paladins to fight the assassins, but gave their leader the Sword of War, given to him by Heroicus.
Domina proved that she absolutely sucks at devouring still-living mortal souls.
mortal immune systems are way too good for any bacteria and viruses.
Domina's first-born was still alive since the last age, and created a new sort of magic, enhancing ones own body with divine power.
Domina fed off of Aretha, but didn't devour her entirely. She then nursed her back to health along with the resulting star.
Daemonia was again confirmed for being literally heaven-on-earth again.Select a tripcode to become a God, and roll 1d100 to speak the WORD and make things happen. In the council room of the Godhall stand the thrones of the gods, which include:
Zanathros's 'seat' of mirrors
Frakt's seat of fluffy snow and hidden sharp Icicles.
Regolith's seat of solid sunlight
Tutarr's rusty metal chair
Barastran's throne of woven light
Voluris's lightning pillar seat
Heroicus's throne of half-melted weapons with the fire of war burning behind it
Toahws's dusty and sagging couch. Sized for the Twins, so it takes up hardly any space at all.
Caliban's comfortabe armchair
Gol Durak's stump of swampwood with elaves of shadow
Nekomious's purple velvet beanbag chair with a black cat eternally napping on it to keep it warm.

My buddy is thinking about throwing together a last minute D&D one shot this weekend because he's depressed about not having a GF and his usual group is all out doing Valentine's Day stuff this weekend. Since this is a rushed thing and I really don't have any good ideas for a character at the moment, I though it might be fun (or hilariously disastrous) to play a character completely generated by random anonymous neckbeards.
I cleared it with the him and he said we can go nuts so long as I play whatever character I end up with seriously and don't COMPLETELY derail the whole session. He's a good GM, he'll make it work.
Alright, let's get this shit started with an simple one:
>What class should our hero be?

You scoop some of the rather gooey blood off your arm, doing your best to make some space in the pod you've found yourself in.
Man, this thing really is ancient, your pod wasn't exactly up to date, but by comparison, it makes this thing look like a technological wonder...
You're also still having trouble looking at the planet below, you can see it's there... but your brain's having trouble processing it for a few moments.
Planet Vegeta, hanging in the sky once more. You'd recognise it anywhere, after decades of nightmares.
And apparently, some Arcosian is coming here to mess with it. Again. Or for the first time, technically, given the whole time travel thing.
The speaker on your pod crackles to life, "Yo, Pinappule, you okay? You kinda went quiet for a second there."
Glancing back out the window, you can see one pod surging ahead of yours, just as the ships drop into the upper atmosphere, the familiar suck of your homeworlds gravity drawing you home.
From this high up, you could blast straight through the pod window, take that guy out right now.
>Take him out, before he does anything stupid
>Stay silent, wait til you land, you might need the pod

A lot of people here dislike monster girls because they often derail threads into lewd stuff and memes about horse genitals, so let's take things into a new direction and have a serious discussion about monster girls in regards to world building. This time we'll be talking about harpies.
>Eating humans, yes or no?
>Level of organization: Solitary? Tribal? Urbanized?
>What would a harpy village or city look like?
>Their relation to human settlements?
>What birdlike traits would be interesting to have in harpies?Would harpy men have impregnate human women behind their husbands backs?
If you wanna avoid the fetish label, you may want to avoid using the term "monster girl", because that is specifically fetish terminology, lewd or not.
That said, I'm all for open discussion.
>Eating humans, yes or no?
Depends on a bunch of factors; size, organization, tech level. You're probably gonna want your harpies smaller, up to human size, which means they'll have much lower body mass, meaning they're limited to baby snatching unless they're otherwise prepared.
You could pattern your birdbrains on any number of social birds that are omnivorous. I like the idea of an evolved/magicked culture of corvid-harpies, myself.
>Level of organization: Solitary? Tribal? Urbanized?
Gonna go back to the corvids again, the social ones show quite a bit of social structure and build communal nests and such. Lend themselves well to tribal through urbanized societies. Birds of prey-patterned harpies would make more sense as solitary creatures.
>What would a harpy village or city look like?
The fun thing about flying humanoids is that you can have them living in places we don't think of as buildable; sheer cliffs, high canopies, cave ceilings, underside of floating islands (with their farms on top, maybe).
And when designing their homes, you can think in 3D, build it like a space station. No idea how actual crow nests are constructed, to be fair.
>Their relation to human settlements?
Smarter handless harpies would be trading for stuff that's hard to make without opposable thumbs. Your average human would probably try to hunt or enslave them though, could cause problems.
>What birdlike traits would be interesting to have in harpies?
How about a nomad society, migrating with the seasons? Not that nomads are unusual for humans, but moving several climate zones away is extreme for us.

So /tg/, who is best girl and why is itBrian?
>When we last left our heroes, they finally made it to the secret lab where most of the research on the virus was made, only to come up empty handed as the place was stripped clean of any relevant information. What they did come across, however, was a woman named Christine who claims to be part of a group calling themselves the Saviours of Humanity, and have been trying to find research into making a cure for the virus. And they need the groups help.
"What do you mean, you need our help?" you ask.
"Exactly what I said," Christine clarified, "we need all the help we can get to begin with, and if we can get Mr. Romero to co-operate..."
You look over to your now-former boss, who just shrugs his shoulders. "I'm not in charge here, as you can see," he answers, "I'm just along for the ride."
"Well, if you really interested in helping, then all of you will come with me to The Fort. But before we do... I don't want to withhold any information. If you have any questions about who were are, ask now, and I'll do my best to answer."
>What do you ask?
>>45355874
No time for questions, let's move.
Hmm, maybe I started the thread too early today. Anyway, shameless bump until more people come in.
Nothing comes to mind, so I vote we just move since time isn't exactly on our side. Unless, anyone else in the group has any questions.
