>>Information
This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a twelve year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.
>Rules
At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.
In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins
Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.
I hope everyone has fun.

The sun filters through the leaves of the Arcedos Forest on the ruins of an ancient shrine. A dozen columns reach for the sky, some of them shattered. Once they gleamed white, but now they are pitted and dark and overgrown with vines. The roof is long gone at this point. A wall still stands and divides two statues, one with a radiant solar halo and palms facing the heavens. The other has a sculpted moon behind its head, and its palms point toward the earth.
Supposedly, this shrine has a catacomb filled with treasure, but you aren't quite sure how to get it. Ruined walls show a room behind the two statue-filled chambers.

I'm European. You simply cannot deny it's America's world we live in right now, and Europe's too busy getting culturally enriched to do something about it.
Post subtle but creepy encounters I can throw at my players playing as film students producing a documentary in the woods.
>>47314752
A little bit of backstory:
>while studying google maps aerial photos of a local forest players discover a pyramid-like structure in the center of it; a discovery of such building could change the known history of the region and could make a great material for a documentary and be their ticket to fame
Kind of magical realm but we played a spoopy innawoods sort of game and the group at one point while fleeing a stalker beast found refuge with some forest living people who were friendly and welcomed us in.
Turned out to be a hills have eyes sort of situation where we slowly discovered they were inbred cannibals, and tried to play it ignorant. When it became obvious we tried to escape, and one player was snared while fleeing. We couldn't free him in time, and he was taken back by them, imprisoned and shotgun married into the family to thin out the bloodline. Ironically while he didn't die like some of the group did in the game. His epilogue was really messed up.
Leading up to it though it was pretty creepy and great, wondering what they were trying to feed us, noticing how deformed some of them were, how eerily friendly they were, and when we started to look around, finding clues of the truth till actually looking in the basement and finding all the hanging butchering tools and leftovers of past victims, as well as the worst and most inbred of them.

A buddy of mine is the Dark Knight Rises Bane of gamers.
>"I was born on the tabletop, molded by it."
In that both his parents are hardcore fuckin' gamers and he's been playing for awhile.
His dad recently brought up a new-ish system called Wild Talents.
I have the PDF for the "Essential Edition" open right now, and I figured while I'm reading through it, I'll throw up blurbs here along with my own thoughts/commentary on the system as I'm going through it. This way, people who've played the system can throw in there own two cents, and those who haven't played or haven't heard of it before can make their own decisions on the matter.
So, train's leaving the station, lets blow the fuckin' whistle!

So far, nothing too hard to understand.
One Roll Engine, (Only one roll of the dice for anything/everything)
Need a bucket of d10's.
Stats are Body, Coordination, Sense, Mind, Charm, and Command
>Aka, STR and CON, DEX, Perception/WIS, INT, CHA, and CHA-Lite.
Dice pools for Skills and Stats go from 1-10 Dice, with 1-5 Dice in a stat/skill being the "Human" level of an ability, and 6-10 being Superhuman levels
>"Hyperstats and Hyperskills"
>....really?....just really?
So a guy with 10 Dice in Coordination and 10 Dice in a Coord skill, (Lets say driving for shits and giggles) could do a burn out with a garbage truck and park it on the wing of a 747 in mid-flight.
Also, Will and Willpower are this systems Fate Points, and your base/starting amount = your Charm+Command Stats, but can be improved from there.
>>47301816
Passions and Loyaltys, your characters internal motivation versus their external motivation. Each motivation get's a number rating and you divide your base Will score between them. You follow your Loyalty or Passion, Bravo, here's a cookie (Will point). You fuck up, you go sit in the quiet corner with no cookies. (Lose WP dependent on motivation)
Can only have 1 Loyalty or 1 Passion.
Oh, so I can't claim to be a member of a fairly high end military-police corp and a ruthless criminal organization at the same time?
>Just got done reading the Shadowrun Storytime.
>That Guy, codenamed Trout: My Character worked for LoneStar and the Yakuza!
>fucking idiot.
Hmm, "Talents" Can refer to the superhumans who are chucking lightning bolts, or the superpowers they're using as a whole.
>The Talent is Talenting all over the Talents Talent?
And some powers are called Miracles, which are the powers that are 100% Weapons Grade "HAX!!!"
>Personal idea, Tien's Chi Ko Ho would be a Miracle because it's powerful enough to break the laws of fucking Geometry.
Huh, so any Superpowers you have are NOT added to the Stat+Skill pool for doing things.
So if I've got the super-strength TALENT and it's at 10 Dice and my Body stat is at 10, then I'd just be rolling 10 for the Talent instead of 20 for both...hmm...
>>47301953
Super-strength should add to your dice pool unless you've built that talent really weirdly. The simplest way to do it is just have it be a Hyperstat. It's just that your dice pool can never go higher than ten dice, because with the dice-matching system the One Roll Engine uses, that would make for guaranteed success. Dice over the limit are instead used to pay off penalties. So if you had twenty dice in your pool, you could take ten dice worth of penalties and still perform at maximum capabilities. If you do want guaranteed success, buy some Hard Dice or Wiggle Dice as Hyperstats or Hyperskills, and maybe throw on some extras for good measure. Body Hyperstats go very well with Booster or No Upper Limit.

Have we talked about the non-human races of Creation yet? Because I'm kind of curious about whether Dragon Kings and Jadeborn will be changed in any way.
Re: Half-castes, from last thread's discussion.
On a thematic level, Lunars and Solars are disconnected from the natural process of reproduction. Their mythic place is equivalent to a reincarnated bodhisattva, or a prophet of God, or similar figures. They are a mortal who is empowered by a mixture of luck and merit, specific and unique to them as an individual, with an element of divine favor tied up in that.
Half-castes are residual magic from mommy and/or daddy carrying on to the child. They turn the focus away from "empowered by the Incarnae" to "has a magic machine in his chest." If Exalted was about being a man with a magic machine in his chest then half-castes would fit and be thematic; but it is about being returning god-kings, the Chosen of the Unconquered Sun.
As such, half-castes are stupid and don't fit and shouldn't be in the game.
>>47284024
Those are valid opinions, anon, but it is important to recognize that they are opinions rather than insights into the fundamental themses of the Exalted. Firstly, Half-Castes - not Half-Castes as they were in 2E, but Half-Castes as people with some extra oomph - aren't powerful or significant enough to turn focus away from anything. Secondly, children of the Exalted being just regular plain humans would imply a clear distinction between the Exalt and Exaltation. I mean, there would obviously be a part untouched by the Exaltation, as if Exaltation was something that changes and permeats everything about the Exalt, it should also have some effect on their children. This is not something I like or consider appropriate, and if anything, it makes Exalts seem more like people with magic machines in their chests.
How is a human brain in robotic body called? Cyborg? The only organic part is the brain so I'm not sure if it counts then again Terminators were cyborgs and their only human part was the skin.
Yes, it'd be a cyborg.
As is anyone with a pacemaker.
>>47321502
And, if we're being technical, you. Right now, here on this computer. "Cyborg" as a term has gotten corrupted to mean something with implanted technology, but it really refers to anything using technology that has some sort of feedback-based control system. It doesn't have to be built in, it just has to be responsive.
>>47321473
Cyborg.
A cyborg is any living being enhanced by mechanical parts.
Terminators aren't cyborgs, they're biorobots. Machines enhanced by living tissue.
