Sounds like he got the idea from you. And you're pretty clueless if you thought increasing ACs if people didn't roleplay their combat rolls well enough would actually make combat flow.

This thread is for discussion of Broken World, the powered-by-Apocalypse-World RPG made by Abbadon to be the RPG companion to his wonderful webcomic, Kill Six Billion Demons. In his own words,

"Broken World is designed to be run as a set of extraordinary and powerful characters overcoming ruination in a vast, multi-dimensional fantasy setting. Each game is designed to follow the characters as they struggle with a broken world.
The core world of Kill Six Billion Demons is a multiverse - filled with hundreds of thousands of cultures and thousands of races, along with angels and devils. They all interact through the ruined and holy city of Throne, the hub-city at the center of all creation. But if the bones of the universe are to be broken, then let us not worry ourselves with who sits atop the body; instead, let us drink with mirth the divine marrow that spills out! After all, everyone knows that, no matter who stamps around in the heavens, the true name of God is I.

Please keep in mind that any discussion in this thread of the comic Kill Six Billion Demons or of its creator should be only in reference to the RPG, and any other discussion should be taken to /co/.

Halflings are boring as fuck.

>Gnomes have funny voices and big heads, and play with tech and magic a lot. They blow things up, build machines, keep badgers as pets, have the ability to talk to burrowing mammals as though they were people, and hang out with dwarves/coexist with dwarves in dwarven kingdoms.
They get a CON Bonus and STR penalty.

Gnomes are amusing, but also kindof obnoxious.

You might as well be comparing humans and orcs. Aside from a size similarity, there are basically no commonalities.

If I allow either one when I GM, it's Gnomes.

I think Chaos would be better off as ''united'' in the sense that Beastmen, Daemons and Warriors wouldn't be their own armies just a diverse horde that would still infight a lot.

Also I'd like to point out that Beastmen are cooler than Warriors and if you think otherwise you should go fuck a blender.

hello

i was problems with basing my Infinity minifig - the umbra samaritan - no matter how i place on the base it will trip over, and the only way i made it stable was by attacking a metal sphere right behind it - do any of you have any better ideas?

I am not familiar with how exactly Infinity bases look like but for Warhammer bases you can glue small coins or fishing weights on the bottom of the base (opposite side than the model leans).

I haven't been on here in a really long time, and I don't know if /tg/ still gets things done, but I was inspired 5 years ago to write a game of my own.

The character sheet for the game is attached. Let me know if you'd like to see more. I'll be posting a few other things. I need feedback on the game, and I've sort of started a patreon for it, but I'm probably not going to link to it here.

If demons were bound to hell, or a similar dimension, what advantages or uses could they get for making bargains, deals or pacts, besides owning souls?

I'm thinking of something for a D&D campaign, in which demons of increasingly higher power can take larger and larger body parts in return for skills, but what use could they have for body parts in the real world?

Well, depending on how much you want to stick with the "bound to hell" part, perhaps the body parts serve as an anchor in the real world. Sort of like a lich's phylactery. Maybe it doesn't allow them to manifest in the physical world, but does grant them additional power in their home dimension? Or, maybe they build flesh constructs out of the body parts they take, using these to retrieve magical McGuffins in regular reality by proxy.

Or maybe they're just sick fucks and like to hurt people, and enjoy seeing people give up their physical body (ie. something demons would value highly if they can't have one) for temporary magic boons.

Demons have endless fun torturing you. If you plead them to stop, they will use you as a tool to spread suffering and misery to others. To interact and make pacts with them you have to essentially dismiss protection of gods. You can have all power you want but you won't enjoy it for long.

I loved those books as a kid and I still do. I don't know any other fantasy world so far off the standard tropes and still so vivid and natural.

I didn't really like The Immortals though and now I'm afraid of starting the new trilogy.
