>Framing board games and placing them on your walls as decorations
This is not ok
>>47860029
No, not ok. The OP went out of his way to specify that.
It could be OK for some board games. For example, if a monopoly board has some nice art on it, framing it would be better than playing monopoly.
So when the Dreaded Thirteenth spell hits, how far does it go?
If it hits a female, does she go full on mutated brood monster or does she just become an unmutated Skaven female?
>>47859616
unmutated female Skaven
>>47859616
>>47859828
Skaven are mutants.
>>47860372
but the females are born more or less the same size as male skaven, they just get mutated into behemoths.
I wanna make a cleric that worships Cthulhu. What would you guys recommend for a good personality, ticks/traits, and weapon? Also I need character art.
>>47859207
Fourth son of a middle-ranked noble with naval investments. Without the pressures on the earlier born sons, he's free to indulge artistic passions that gradually begin to intrude on the waking world.
>>47859241
Damn. That's really specific and better then I expected right off the bat. Thanks Anon
>>47859207
Cleric of Cthulhu - Terrified and fascinated by the ocean. Fondest dream is to be transformed into a deep one and dwell in splendor forever beneath the waves, until such time as his god rises from Ryleh
Wizard of Yog Sothoth - Self explanatory, worships the god of sorcerers, helps bring manifestations of The Gate and The Key into the world in exchange for magical knowledge
Druid of Shub Niggurath - Orgiastic blood rites. Pregnant 2/3 of the time if female.
Bard of Azathoth - Absolutely shreds on the pan flute

#JustDireThings
You fucked with the wrong druid, motherfucker.
My preferred kind of dire beaver.
What's the opposite of a dying world?
A world in the process of being born.
>>47858216
Gaian World
A young, primal world, where the very essence of life and magic is still fresh and new. A world of change and genesis, where new life, new magic and new wonders might be around every turn, never before seen. A place of infinite possibilities.
What's the most depressing setting aside from 40K?
>>47857790
The one we're living in.
>>47857790
kill puppies for satan
What's the minimum acceptable height for a human adventurer? 6'1"? Thankfully my DM just lets me make my PCs the same height as me automatically, but I think I'd have to quit the game instantly if I randomly rolled a manlet adventurer who was under 6'.
>playing a game with "adventurer" PCs
>>47857516
You got something against short Adventurers?
>>47857516
This must be the most pathetic post in tg so far.
>The Ancient Good is a redeemed lizard
Redeemed? Uh, is being lizard a sin?
>>47856910
It is when you become a monster and slaughter people.
>>47856744
So, we must now kill the Ancient Good for being a lizard. Fuck the balance. Lizards must be purged.
>GM wants to turn the results of the not yet started campaign into a book
>wants writen disclaimers from the players that they wont ask for royalties
Tell me /tg/, have you ever trusted someone so uninspired, arrogant and braindead to run a game for you?
>>47856607
The fact that you use completely unfitting epithets for the person in this situation makes me think that this is yet another "Things that Never Happened" thread.
these threads get weirder and weirder
it's like you people are wracking your brains for spicier and more outlandish memes to serve up
>>47856663
however on the plus side, I have to commend you for AT LEAST not including some sexual fetish or anime girl as the OP image. So congrats on reigning it in this once.
>One of your players wants to reroll as the captain of the city watch
>>47855340
If he's a martial of sufficient level, I'd let him *become* the Captain. But that's an adventure in itself, and the party's kinda busy with other issues right now, so it'll have to wait.
If you want a Sam Vimes clone in the party, I can do that. But not as a PC, sorry. You'd fuck it up.
Discworld is overrated.
>>47855340
A thread died for this.
Seriously, what's the big deal? Are you one of those people that doesn't let PCs be nobles or have any kind of status?
While it's still a few months off from October, I have the sudden urge to run something horror related for my players. I've built a relatively simple homebrew game, and figured out a basic plot, but does /tg/ have any advice for running a horror game? Has anyone done it and actually succeeded in scaring your players?
>>47855067
Bump
>>47855067
Players are scared of levels. Shout out "A GIANT SQUID LUNGES FROM THE CLOSET." And let the hype man in the group make a big deal about it, which in turn makes the players in a better mood.
>>47855067
Hey, /tg/; you're welcome to join me watching some chess here:

>playing a game that doesn't involve rolling dice
>>47854958
I don't know the fancy numbers or anything, but if the further right white knight moves down beneath the black knight it is checkmate.
>>47855496
I think you're supposed to be the black player getting out of the predicament you're in
>The spark is gone but my players still want to play in my game
Should I tell them or should I suck it up? How can I reignite it?
GM burnout is a real thing. It happens to the best of us, and trying to force yourself to keep going only makes it more and more likely the game is just going to die completely.
Be honest with your players. Tell them that you're not feeling it and that you need a break, and discuss with them other options. Maybe one of them wants to run a oneshot or a short campaign, or maybe the whole group would be okay with taking a month break or so, giving you time to regenerate and reassess the situation.
>>47854834
WHY is the spark gone, though?
Is it your players?
Is it you?
And if it is you, are you sure you even like the hobby from the GM's side?
If it's neither, and it's the game, have you put thought into how you can reclaim what you enjoyed?
>>47854834
This guy knows what he's talking about.
>>47854869
I'd suggest trying to get someone else to run a short game and putting your current one on hold. Playing a game instead of running one is a great way to rebuild that urge to GM.
Scheduled reminder that Terranis Holds.
>>47854579
Your terranis is nothing but a lie monkeigh. Delude yourself however you wish, you will still scream for me.
>>47854579
>Terranis Holds
my dick
>>47854621
You can do nothing to us, for we return. And we remember you.
So does the average human in 40k know of the Primarchs, the Horus Heresy and Traitor Marines. Or do they not?
I ask because I recently read ADBs Cadian Blood and Emperors Gift (I know, they're BL books, so I realise their canonicity is questionable at best, but still) and there seems to be some contradiction.
>Cadian Blood
>Cadian protag and Inquisitor are at one point talking about the Horus Heresy (though admittedly they do not mention the Primarchs) and at no point does the Cadian express disbelief or shock at the idea of the Horus Heresy or traitor marines
>He and the rest of the Guard taskforce, some which are not Cadians, have also been fighting the Plague Marines on the planet for a good long while by that point
>Emperors Gift
>During the purging of Armaggedon, the protagonists says something along the lines of "No imperial citizen must ever know that one of the Emperors sons turned against him."
So is it okay to know about the Traitor Marines but not about the traitor Primarchs? From what I gathered the loyal Primarchs are known, even if some people believe them to be, like the Marines, legends rather than real. There are apperantly statues of them around the Imperial Palace on Terra and there's that whole Sanguinala thing, though I dont if thats still canon.Or is this just one of those things in 40k where the lore is just unclear and it constantly varies from author to author?
>>47854464
>Primarchs
They are saints of cult imperialis
>the Horus Heresy
Hell no
>Traitor Marines
Doubtfully. If there's no invasions of them why should citizens know that even empraz fynest can fall
>>47854464
Black library books are all over the place with the fluff, so you can find support for all sorts of nonsense in them if you try.
There is no "right" answer to this question, it just relies on what author you ask or what the writers feel like at the moment.
>>47854464
Considering the vast size of the Imperium, a lot of this probably depends on who you are and what sort of world you live on. If you live on Cadia and have to deal with Abbadon and his shit or if you live on some sort of Administratum hub where there's a lot of awareness of galactic events/politics, I imagine you probably know of the basics. But if you're toiling in some forge world manufactorum or farming on an agri-world, you probably don't know dick about the terrors that lurk beyond, including the Traitor Legions and their history.
