Never forget, demons are totally alien immaterial beings who don't enjoy the sins they represent, and have no desires beyond increasing the amount of evil in our universe. It is absurd to think any of them could ever not be pure evil, because their true forms are literally composed of evil.
It is doubly absurd to think your penis of all things could change their nature, no matter how large and magnificent it is. Nothing a mortal can do to them in the bedroom would register as pleasure or pain.
Don't be tricked. Smite and purge, brothers!

Not in my setting.
Ed has just one shotted the bbeg of your campaign because he has a pebble in his shoe and is now coming after your current party, do they survive the encounter?

Good thing I have ranks in Profession (Cobbler) and can provide better pebble-proof shoes
Sup /tg/. I'm new to tabletop games, and I'm considering getting into D&D's 4e setting Dark Sun. I'm reading the campaign setting PDFs and they look pretty interesting to me.
What can /tg/ tell me about their experiences with Dark Sun? Is it neat? How quickly does it get boring, if at all? How much can you squeeze out of the setting? Got any fun greentext stories about it? Know anybody who plays? Just tell me whatever.
D&D 4e Dark Sun was actually the first thing I DM'd and it was a lot of fun.
I've loved Dark Sun for a while, though, largely due to cutting my RPing teeth on a roleplay MUD based on Dark Sun called Armageddon.
There's quite a lot you can do with it, though I'd caution you against throwing the players into too much "high magic" stuff early on--it kind of takes away some of the setting's flavor if there's magic all over the place. A lot of Wild West story beats work pretty well in Athas, too, the farther away you get from the major cities.
Bumping. Anyone ever play a Dark Sun campaign? How was it?
>>47845140
I have not. The concept was always so exciting and appealing, and my dnd group all felt the same way. I remember when they came out with the 4e books we all bought in and sat down to make characters, but bad luck just kind of kept us from playing it.
what do you think about a MTG movie?
>>47844376
Might do alright at the box office, but critically it'd be complete dogshit though. With the source material and Hollywood there's no way this could ever be remotely good.
If it isn't the Brother's War, then no go.
Mtg is a great game, but the storylines are all over the fucking place. You might be able to tell a compelling story with brief moments of the fluff, perhaps tempest block with Gerrard as the protagonist(maybe if you guy the guys that made stardust to do it). I kind of agree the brother's war might be doable.
You would need to omit a lot of the complex shit, you couldn't have planeswalking in the movie. Its been some years since I had some film classes, but it would be near impossible to introduce the starting plane and transitioning to a secondary plane without a metric shitton of exposition.
With our current run of luck, they would make a movie about how Jace's spark ignited and it would be edgy as fuck.
D&D 5e
>variant human cleric
>forest gnome wizard
>lightfoot halfling rouge
>mountain dwarf fighter
You cannot argue against this.
Also I couldn't find a relatable pic, here's best philosopher.

Interesting, but consider this:

D&D 2e

Is the 41K Milennium, a Death Star is entering the solar system, intent on destroying Earth.
Can the Imperial Navy stop it?
Hard mode: there`s also a Borg´s cube.
>>47843495
The Imperium would rather literally use its battleships as oversized missiles and ram them into the Deathstar then even consider the possibility of risking Terra.
>>47843495
These threads are stupid.
40k was born out of satire, the power level of some entities is just beyond what is seen outside of magical girl anime, there are psychers that could literally blink the death star out of existence. Not to mention pretty much every force sensitive person would be periled of the warped to death by the end of their first day in the 40k universe.

You could take /tg/'s Night Shift setting and stretch it out a little to fit a larger locale like a half-abandoned mall:

Group plays a band of urbexers who go plunking around abandoned buildings for [insert reason here] in the modern times. Might go with ghosts/demons/monsters if you're running a horror game, might go with fantasy creature if you're running an urban fantasy setting.
John Blanche appreciation thread.
The character party is going on a long travel from city A to city B. What do you as DM do to make it a entertaining journey? Scenarios etc.
What is the setting like?
>>47842638
Fantasy adventure, standard D&D style.
>>47842704
Elaborate. Personally, if I were trying to plan out something like this I'd start with the route. Where are they going, and where are they coming from? what sort of country are the passing through? What's the terrain like? Do they have enough supplies for a long journey at the start, or do they have enough money that they plan to just buy supplies as needed along the road?
The answers to those questions will inform a lot.
>Spell:
>Skeleton Transferal
Quality contribution OP.
>>47842439
What is skeletons are actually solidified soulstuff? so if you could swap the skeleton of one person into the flesh of another, you'd effectively be swapping the soul and personality of the people?
And simiarly, if you create a skeleton from a mixture of the bones of multiple people/creatures you'll end up with an undead whose "soul" and "spirit" are all a mixed up and uncohesive mess, one unable to truly be sentient in the common sense of the term.
>>47842496
Obviously consuming the bones of another person or thing would obviously give you some amount of their spiritual power and essence - eating the skull of a great scholar could even give you some grasp of their knowledge or skill.
Though beware of eating too much of another's skeleton, for the human form can only contain so much skeleton, and so your own could be gradually dimished, rendering you unto a bone chomping ghoul or zombie, with no self only hunger for more to crack in your oddly white teeth.
Cows and lactating women would obviously be considered holy for the soul cleansing and strengthening milk.
Sup /tg/, haven't been here in a while.
Long-story-short, I've grown unmotivated to DM, I enjoy DM'ing but I haven't in about 2 years. I started my group off on 3.5 and we're still playing, but my friend has taken over as DM.
I started playing after my Brother's friend let me play Cyberpunk 2020 with them, and I've wanted to get back to it ever since. So what system should I play with, what version of Cyberpunk is the simplest and the most fun? If there're any systems that let me run basically the same setting, but better, tell me about those too.
Also general Cyberpunk and art thread I guess.

Greys for the whitewash obviously. Wood's browns desaturated with grey/black.
Hello! Some of you might remember I did a few threads a few months ago, but had to stop due to IRL stuff. Now that I am back, we shall return!
After exile from the mountain in which the Great Clans live, the group of 30 Red-Scaled Kolbolds traveled for what seems like years, braving desserts and marshes, empty expanses and huge mountains, until they come across a jungle, and tired of running, decided to settle down. It has been 5 years since that exile, and since then, they have become one with the jungle.
Here is the gist of what happened.
>Lizard-Men attacked, with their tryanical leader weilding lightning magic. After a bloody war, the kolbolds killed the leader and set the Lizard-Men free into their new settlement.
>The capital was named Thunder's Bane, after the death of the Lizard-Man tyrant, and other settlements were founded, Crocksylvania and Triumph.
>Magic was discovered, and after and Blue Scaled Kolbold was found, Magic seemed to depend of the color of scales.
>A religion was founded and based on the Magic and The Elder Wurms, The Last Breath of The Elder Wurms.
>Buildings were built, including a giant tree for the populace and a Temple to the Wurms
>Hybrids were created of Crocodiles and Kolbolds, Crolbolds, and after Wyverns were found, they were captured and Hybridised as well, into Wyvanrans. Both are Red Scale Hybrids. Both are used as forms of travel.
>A ceremony of created, in the Great Temple of The Wurms, which changed the colour of sclaes from birth, resulting in Black, Green and White scaled Kolbolds being discovered.
>After a serious amount of praying to The Wurm, they delivered the Artifacts of the Elder Wurms open the Kolbolds.
>A Shining Red Spear, a Deep Blue Tome, a Stone with a Bright Green Rune in it, a Dark Black Dagger, and a Stark White Staff
3 Years have passed since the discovery of the Artifacts of the Elder Wurms, and even though none have a champion, they have kept the peace in the Scaled Jungle, if uneventful. All form of Kolbold have reached a decent population, and the Lizard-Men have spread within the towns, still happy with being vassals. After a long reign(for a Kolbold) of 5 years and 3 mounths, Kr'tok, the leader and last of the original exiles, has died, and it is time to pick a new Leader.

The fuck is wrong with just using fairy, for fuck's sake? Y'all worried your groups're gonna think you're queer? So sick of this fucking trend in TTRPGS. Makes me feel like some gothed-up deviant is writing the flavor text with his goddamn spunk.

Thread then?
Why would one of the Fae ever stick to a single name for their kind for long? It seems perfectly in character for the fairy folk to me, those elven lords of fey myths and faerie stories.

Elves are not fey. That's another meme trend that needs to die.
