Compare them to expeditions. The shitty lands than no one wanted went down, the rest have stayed pretty much put. I pulled an overgrown tomb about a week or two after release, and it's been ~$75 since the day i got it. I would expect that greaves will stay reasonablely similar, maybe go down a bit.

But if you wait 5 years it'll probably go up.

Where exactly does the imperium of man draw the line between human and abhuman? after thousands of years I would imagine human phenotypes would drift further away from 21st century humans, What does the Imperium consider to be truly human?

They have to be of human descent/origin but more importantly:

1. The mutation has to be stable so nothing like have random tentacles popping out everywhere

2. It can't have come from warp influence. Mutation can and is often a sign of corruption hence point 1 about it being stable otherwise it's not worth it to keep them around.

Those who decide to think their way through their problems in a way others would consider cheating.

Similarly to how those who cracked stone with a hammer and spike thought jackhammers were cheating. Using intelligence and reason to solve problems rather than natural ability and "common sense", Historically those who understood chemistry and physics could easily pass themselves off as those who worked magic or alchemy. Even 80s pinball players who know the pinball machine well enough to consistently score high were labeled as wizards. Basically anyone who understands and exploits reality more than the vast majority of their peers is a wizard.

It's a title bestowed upon others by the ignorant.

I play with a "That guy".

DM had to tell him beforehand that he couldn't be an evil alignment because this was going to be a good campaign. (We had new people, figured we'd make it easy and not all fucked for their first D&D experience)

a boy is born in kingdom that is superstitious. Boy later becomes cursed by a witch for an incredibly petty reason that the boy had no control over. The local inhabitants from common folk to nobles treat him like an anathema or outright being abusive or discriminatory due to this curse.

Boy becomes estranged from this kingdom and seeks life of adventure. Actually becomes successful at it. Collects many powerful artifacts.

Later, the king from his old kingdom seeks one of the artifacts in his possession to trade to a dragon who stole his daughter. There is no guarantee that the dragon will honor the ransom.

What should the adventurer do?

Sup /tg/, rolling up a pathfinder character and I've encountered a dilemma.

Where do you rank someone who primarily follows Nietzsche's idea of Will to Power on the traditional D&D alignment scale? I'm tempted to take the easy way out and just go with True Neutral, being primarily concerned with his own advancement above all else. At the same time though, the deliberate disregard for conventional morality could push him into chaotic territory.

Thoughts on the matter?

Chaotic Neutral. The Ubermesch could not be constrained by any laws not his own.

For fun times have him fight to STAY neutral, as he tries to hold himself back from the "short sightedness/somesuch" of good, and tries to resist the temptations that evil offers him. He must have the will to power, but he cannot be pulled into thinking himself master or dominator.

in our game the Gm decided to change how some Witches work, Generally of all magic users Necromancers and witches where hated the most.

For a necromancer to gain the powers he or she needed they needed to start getting freaky with Symbiotic Parasites. generally they would attach to the body and harden up like bone.

witches had the worst of the bunch, less symbiotic and more parasitic, these lifeforms feed on blood and body mass while producing toxins, the toxins however react with latent magic and amplify it by a bajillion.
The toxin also causes its victims to gradually become twisted, depraved and inexplicably irritable and at times lewd.
we didn't know about that last bit until the very end. when it was revealed that was his magical realm. but hey it was mine too so no biggie.

Even if it's not in the setting I'll Homebrew some sort of parasitic alien or daemonic entity or cursed weapon to tempt the player.

It's excuse to let the players power game and still fuck with them. It's a win-win.

You know what it means. Yeah I know it's wrong but whatever.

Your party's foe has permanently transformed all of you into ball pythons. This is your new form; your previous form is now lost to you. You may be able to shapeshift using spells or other abilities, but your true form will always be a snake.

You all now have a bite attack, and you gain racial bonuses to hide and move silently. You also have a suffocation attack, which has a low chance of succeeding, but if it does then the target must make a fort save or die. Your scales grant you a small amount of damage resistance.

If you are a caster, you still have your magical abilities, but you can must cast all spells as still and silent.

If you are a druid, you may be able to use your skills to communicate with other races.

Does this put an end to your adventuring days? How will you continue in your new form?

In the DM's setting the kind of magic my wizard uses explicitly requires the use of magical tools, so he may be screwed out of that. On the other hand, things will probably get awkward with the wife if this doesn't get fixed, so he'll have to forge onward regardless and apply whatever cleverness he can.

What's the best paladin weapon and why is it the hammer?

Because evil must not be simply felled, it must be smashed and obliterated from the face of the earth.

For a slightly more symbolic reason, the only application of a sword is warfare, and axes look rather barbaric, while a hammer can symbolize the paladin's desire to bring order and prosperity, being a tool of masons.

A buddy played a paladin that only used a shield because of this. Less captain america and more grappling shenanigans with shield bashes thrown in.
I could see using a staff or spear for similar reasons, or toss in more magic and weird and have a giant light up laser hand or the like.
