They are being a murder-hobo, which isn't necessarily being "that guy" but is still kinda shitty behavior. It shows that they aren't giving any thought to the fact that they just killed someone, and don't think it care about how it effects the story. Usually people tend to the wounded or figure out what's going on after a battle. Unless you're a mugger, rooting through dead people's pockets isn't a huge priority.

Checking bodies for stuff is fine and normal (you would do it too, wouldn't you?) unless the character has some moral obligation not to take stuff from dead. However, it's not normal if player(s) insist on looting literally everything (even ragged clothes and rusty junk) just for selling unless they specifically roleplay comically greedy merchants.

I'm under the impression that 5e has a much bigger following at this point, and it is the current edition, so that argues in favor of using it, rather than 4e. Also, 5e is more like other editions of D&D than 4e is.

As someone who likes 4E more, 5E is probably more beginner-friendly. Though that can be mitigated with premade characters, which you should be using anyway.

It makes you decide whether or not scaling something of a certain height is reasonable or not.
Otherwise you could roll a D20 for a 1000 foot cliff, and it would be no more dangerous than scaling a 10 foot fence.
More climbing = more chances to fuck up

Sounds good. I will use a couple of these.
As a GM i have a history of using more iconic or identifiable pieces as supplement or counbterpoint to an intro, outro or to accentuate a particular scene. (Nothing beats finding the perfect piece of orchestral hans zimmer and tailoring the paladin generals epic speech -around- the dynamics of the music)

In 4e there was a class called Avenger which seemed like a good Paladin/Rogue hybrid with some Monk elements.

Dude, resurection is expensive. The only people who could be resurrected are either rich or powerful people. Those kinds of people would be dealt with by sealing them away forever via magic, like enchanted chains or some other macguffin.

I wish the Word Bearers were the posterboys for Chaos, instead of the Black Legion. Actually have the Chaos Legion be the face of Chaos itself. It would make a lot more sense than Abaddon and his army of failures. It would make a lot more sense because Ultramarines are the face of the loyalist Space Marines. It would make more sense because of the Red versus Blue theme.

I just hate ADB/GW's love of Abaddon. Does anyone else hate Abaddon too?
