In 4e there was a class called Avenger which seemed like a good Paladin/Rogue hybrid with some Monk elements.

My favorite character of all time. I always try to build him in new and different ways/systems.

He was a member of the artisan caste in his native Galeria, when the call to arms came. Only through military service could one escape their station, but at the cost of loosing that station forever. He figured it was the best way out of a dead end. He found himself in a Ranger battalion in the middle of a Mega-Crusade involving something like a dozen empires and kingdoms. He learned archery, ambushing, sabotage work, and taking advantage of an exposed flank.

He also learned to kill. Kill in ways and numbers once thought unfathomable. When all was said and done, millions lay dead. Entire civilizations were ruined. The last real Paladins and Knight Orders were destroyed. And this man felt responsible. The demons of that war haunted him for a long time before he made a pilgrimage to the grave of the Last Knight in the land.

There, he swore an oath to seek redemption, and to help others find theirs. He became a Paladin that day, and knew the road ahead would be perilous, long, and possibly without true redemption for himself.

For 5e Dnd the Plane Shift: Innistrad book had an Inquisitor subclass that was a decent mix of both Paladin and Rogue. You got a religious symbol and proficiency with thieve's tools, as well as the bonuses to investigation and such.
