Grouped applications are something new to me, but I'll deal.

Levia is the little girl dragon Kwisatz Haderach and she's a shitty little brat, but that's good. She's been dragged away from the comfortable circumstances of home and forced out with her sisters. I'm interested in seeing that dynamic play out, although there's no guarantees all three will make it in.

She's a shitty person who excels at making pacts with spirits and exerting authority over them. There's not a lot beyond that but whatever. It's the start of the heroes' journey and she's young enough to not require tons of backstory.

I'd like to see more about her familial relations and the people she cares about. How does she feel about her sisters? How did she feel about them before being kicked out?

Anyway I don't have a lot of comments here because the writing here is pretty competent and there aren't really any gaps. I don't play young characters any more so I'm not really in the mindset of playing someone who's mostly tabula rasa. Levia could go in lots of directions, growing up and becoming more mature and responsible as she journeys alongside her sisters, perhaps even learning to view them as equals.

I'd like to hear a bit more about her upbringing, how she feels about her family and maybe some good points in her personality to soften her a bit. Right now she's a horrible person with some cute anime art, which is basically her only saving grace.

The flawed heroes of the Greek epics and Shakespeare are notable because their flaws flow out from traits which would otherwise be virtues (Hamlet's sensitivity and loyalty to his father, for example, leading him to mince and fret and finally die to the poisoned weapons of a better fighter).

Also, for reference a 3 is a passing grade.

I really really like this picture.

But I always find bullying-based backstories kind of incredulous, particularly when it involves spooky dhamphir with clearly inhuman abilities and a character with 19 fucking Charisma. Like goddamn you should be the bell of the goddamn ball but I guess having +2 Initiative is pretty important, right? I can at least appreciate she has no points put into Face skills except for Sense Motive, so that part of the backstory fits the mechanics.

Did she just like, become hot when she got older or something? Or was her constant shivering something that made shitty kids be mean in spite of this towering personal charisma.

Some okay prose otherwise, and nothing I can outright dislike. Her personality has some walls and boundaries that could make for some good roleplaying, and her insecurity starts her off with room to grow as a person. Gloom and doom is fine as long as she has enough drive to actually help out. Her love for her mother is nice, but I'm a big sucker for filial girls who do right by their kin.

I've got a problem /pfg/ I need to hide the fact that my game was Pathfinder while keeping most of the core elements, and I feel like simply renaming/reskinning things isn't going to cut it.

I just finished a long running Campaign that lasted three and a half years. It started out me just doing a rushed rip off of a JRPG but it ended up evolving into something completely different as time went on, taking the characters from level 1 to the point where I had to invent a new system entirely to handle the PCs absorbing some of the setting's Deities and all the development in between. It all turned out great, and by the end of it both the players and I agreed it was a "good game". Here's the problem, I want it to be more.

I've been working with someone to try and turn it into a Tactics RPG to actually try and make money off of it. I've gotten OKs from the players to use their PCs as character concepts if this shit actually turns out to get finished, but here's the main issue. Replacing the early parts I copied from the JRPG is simple but Pathfinder's system really defined a lot of what the game was and how it ran Plus coding RNG based checks is piss easy and does make it easier to balance things like combat. but I doubt that's how most people will see it and I'd rather not risk stepping on any toes or getting a lawsuit suppository because I didn't realize some concepts or creatures were "too similar" to their pathfinder counterparts.

Any tips on how to replace most Paizo shit with friendly free-use terms? I'll admit I'm not the most creative when it comes to coming up with names and that could fuck us over in the long run if we're not careful early.

Alright, so memes and filename aside, Gerund has a lot of really good heroic traits and a solid pick for any group. He's a scrapper, he's attentive to his environment and he solves problems as they come. Having a skill monkey to do all of your group's technical skills is useful too. I don't have a lot of mean stuff to say here. His whole shtick of being fit, attractive and smart is even properly reflected in his statline, which is a good touch.

The backstory gives the GM a locale, and suggests a problem: the character's exile.

Overall this is a good submission because it gives the GM hooks without saddling them with any unwanted work, other than maybe having to deal with the mechanics of a class I have literally never heard of before today. If I were to give some recommendations, it'd be to give some inkling as to what he cares about and what he wants out of life. The character is very complete otherwise.

Appeal: 4/5, the boss. And I'm a sucker for a good-looking guy who knows his way around power tools.
Backstory: 4/5, gives a locale and some hooks, and why he's adventuring. It's exactly enough.
Compatibility: 4/5 eyes glazed over trying to review his mechanics section. Non-face skills are always in short supply in apps though, so this is a good one. Blasters mean he'll reliably contribute to fights that aren't in close quarters.

The youkai engineer's toolpack is basically like a synthesist's eidolon: While deployed it's a layer of HP, and it provides most of the class abilities (your "other half" is a crafter, not a summoner). Different abilities available obviously, but "initiator eidolon" is more or less exactly that.

Difference is if it gets blown apart it takes 2d12 hours of actual work to fix it up (so on average 'overnight') instead of just re-summoning a new one in the morning. Lose most abilities except the arsenal weapons (currently a lot of single-target debuff 'grenades') until then.

I'm looking at spheres of might, and I have a few character concepts in mind for a campaign coming up, but I'm still not totally solid with the system so I was wondering if someone could lend an ear/some assistance.

I'd like to go for sniping, with a firearm and all of that. The problem is, the Sniping sphere doesn't seem to be compatible with the actual sniping mechanic in pathfinder (using stealth after making a ranged attack), or at least not that I can see. Sniping is usually a full-round action to make an attack and then hide, but the Sniping sphere requires you to be making an attack action to make use of any of its abilities. Is there something I'm missing?

For a weapon I was thinking an elven branched spear (reach, brace, +2 AoO), so no spell combat.
On that issue, when casting a spell on an enemy 10 feet away, with your spear in one hand, are you still threatening that field?

The party in the Saturday game I GM finally cleared out the cliffside cavern of any remaining Goblins and Hobgoblins, and were able to rescue two of the five missing militia members, one of whom was the nephew of our one-handed, middle-aged Cleric of Pelor.
We also rescued a ruddy-scaled Kobold, who is our Lizardfolk's next character, since her current character has reason to stay behind nearby her people.

The group is going to find out tomorrow that their NPC guide is the Cleric's bastard son.

Once they get back to town and have a nice, comfy session of celebrating, I'm curious as to see what they'll decide to do next. Inside the caves, they discovered an ancient door that had been magically locked long, long ago. But, they've got other hooks to follow and choices to make. I'm excited.

Someone out for easy money/easy life is unlikely to going to go stabbing people unless he's had some experience doing so.

GM may not be predisposed to pick someone who might just run off with all the loot. Potentially giving him some sort of weakness that he WOULDN'T run from may give a GM more opportunity to make him stick around.

What did he do with all the cash? There's barely 5K of equipment, let alone 10K of investments.

Haven't looked at the campaign setting in depth, that's just what jumps out at me.

That said: Things being immune to 'circus' for one round kinda sucks, since you can't hit them next turn with it. Gaining a reflex save to damage because it's now a 5ft reflex blast REALLY sucks, because now you get a reflex save to avoid being hit which prevents its detonation, followed by - if it hits or detonates with you in the area anyways - a reflex save for half damage because the wording doesn't make it a splash weapon or anything in regards to the primary target. Reflex-half on a failed Reflex-None is just what-the-fuck. A rogue would basically have to fail TWO saves in order to take half damage, otherwise taking none.

8 targets is way too much at level 1, and just sad by level 10. Not being able to fire multiple missiles at one target is also sad.

Damage is still low for several shapes: even with overcharge we might maybe make it with ioun stones to 10d6+8 total damage at level 12 with three shots on a barrage: There are no feats for that shape (nor for circus, and you can't use focus either) and no other methods of optimization beyond possibly at best another 18 damage from being, say, a sylph.

There is no *way* by which one can optimize them; which is as big if not bigger a problem than the size/power of overcharge: Overcharge gives too much for one feat, but the main ability that it's boosting is too weak that it isn't even up to par with it taken.

With no paths, methods or options to optimize if need be, the shapes have a problem; one they still had months ago as I recall. The avowed needs shit like magic items and so on that can add up to at least another 20-30 damage total. Right now an avowed would be better off taking a caster-level recovery feat and multiclassing into an initiator or weaponmaster fighter for a 3-4 dip.

Been reading some of the blingmaker apps because /pfg/ keeps sperging about them

I'm a sucker for pun names, but these are just the few I managed to notice.

Hindenburg is fairly obvious but is a great pick for a tech-character in a low-tech setting
Wektu Vaxt is a couple different languages, translates to Time Time. I'm a little upset it looks like they're taking Black Thorn Knights instead of the one that gives Riven Hourglass but maybe they plan to burn the feats to get it later?
Yoku is fucking brilliant and translates to Greed, can also mean "to be skilled in" Okane flat out translates to money. Motherfucker knew how to weeb himself into a game about dosh.

The point about a pyramid scheme is that you're supposed to make off with the capital and use the investments to pay off the interest and loot the entire pot off by the end. If the scheme had been running for 3 years, assuming a 5% return the interest would only be about 10% total; he'd still have 9K left over.

He COULD have spent 5K but that's a bit much. Suggest you say that he lived very lavishly and that's why he wants to stab people for easy money now.
