This happened today and I now require Alpharius memes.
Only Alpharius may post. Omegon may post if he is also Alpharius.

Our generation is a complete failure.
After some rolling of stats I ended up with great physical stats and highest intelligence in the party.
How do you stop temptation of making smartest character in the party a barbarian?
You could be a retired scholar who got tired of academic circlejerk at the capital and just wants to rape and pillage.
>>52434959
And now I have this image in my mind of a lizard sitting on the coast, reading a book, while eating the scholar to whom that book belonged...
Obviously RNGesus demands you to play a fighting wizard.
The world needs more armoured fighting wizards.

Primarch II is an accountant and Primarch 11 was a Rangda. Corax nukes civilians, Abby is Warmaster despite lacking a Paragon Blade, and Imperial boys look great in either truesilver Grey or Auramite gold. All of that and more in the previous thread -> >>52422642

Horus Heresy isn't my bag, but it's nice to see this up on Humble in either case.
Do you think they'd ever put a collection of mini-dexes, like actual rulebooks out like this?
What are some real-yet-extinct animals you have used in campaigns or worldbuilding?

>Got talked into DMing for Adventurer's League at a local comic store.
>Want to help out and agree
>Think it's gonna be like a normal campaign but without allowing homebrew'd stuff like Miqote from ff14
>Start asking some other guys for tips because I'm not too familiar with Adventurer's League
>No Anon, critical fumbles aren't allowed.
>Anon no, you shouldn't just make that special arrow have a +1 in damage because it would technically be a magic item
>Anon, the 5e player's manual doesn't specify that's how it works so you can't!
I started looking over the 5e DM manual and I'm seeing a whole lot of sections that basically tell me I'm the DM and can do whatever the hell I want.
Are things like critical fumbles and houserules really banned in Adventurer's League or am I just talking to people who are telling me not to do things because they personally don't like those things?
>>52434056
Adventurer's League isn't about running an actual game. It's a ploy to sell product. If bad things happen to the players, then they might not buy stuff because they had a bad experience.
>>52434056
>He fell for the Adventurer's League meme
Anon, there's not a single good reason to play AL, much less to DM one. You've been tricked.
>>52434056
Critical fumbles are for faggots anyway please stop
I humbly request the vast knowledge wielded by folks and folk'ets of /tg, to help me find anime inspired games. Specifically, would like table rpgs and mini games but would really like to hear the games available out there.
Thanks for your time.

Language isn't on my side in more ways than one.
Cthulhu Tech is animesque. It takes a lot of Lovecraft's setting (with a noticable lack of actual Cthulhu. I like it, the big old octopus needs less attention) but in a sci-fi 30-years-in-the-future setting. With giant robots. There's Real Robot genre ones and there's Engels which are unashamedly taken from Evangelion (They straight up say they're doing it in the introdution to the Core Rulebook). I love the setting, haven't managed to run a game in it yet.
Anyone have a list of bans/taboos for magicians?
Things like:
>Powerless in rain
>Spellcasting causes a thunderclap
>Must wear the skin of an animal at all times
>Forbidden from eating vegetables
>>52432430
I once forced a player to roleplay being Vegan or lose all of their powers until they received an Atonement.
>>52433205
Forcing a player into it is kind of a dick move; letting them choose powers/spells and then applying bans as the price of this power is more fun.
>>52433205

Shut up stupid.
>>52433303
No u.
>>52432090
As much as I adore making and classifying metaphysics for fantasy settings, most people don't really care. As creating a setting with a social objective is, in fact, a socially-oriented task, then catering to a niche is not an indicator of objective quality unless it's designed to be so, at which point it's irrational to consider it anything but a niche.
Do Birthright and/or Dragonlance deserve to be revived before Dark Sun, Eberron, and/or Planescape for 5e?
What is so good about Birthright and/or Dragonlance?
>>52431742
they don't have underwear stealing pedophiles for one.
>>52431742
Part of it is brand recognition: Dragonlance is what many non-gamers think of when they hear "D&D". So there's that - bring out one of the most publicly famous settings TSR ever produced, and watch as people go "OMG, those dragon books I loved as a kid? They made an game for them!"I have seen that conversation.
Birthright is actually a rather simple setting to convert. It might also be a test in them not feeling bound to make every single setting 100% compatible with every other setting they make.
>>52432094
>Dragonlance is what many non-gamers think of when they hear "D&D"
Since when?
>A kingdom of honorable knights.
>Except they are ghouls and eat evil beings in the name of their god.
Could they still be lawful good?
Kind of sounds like the broken lords.
Except the other way around. Previously chivalrous and just knights who now have to resort to feeding off innocents to stay alive.
>>52431001
>knigths fight evil
>knights eat evil
I don't see the problem.
>>52431001
It totally works. Alignments are what you want them to be. If in your setting undead aren't inherently evil or maybe there's a way to create neutral or even good undead, sure, you can do that.
Especially when they have a god which supports it, since that god is probably good and/or lawful as well
>you're playing with a new group

Call them fighting-men.
Or just play GURPS
do what tolkien did and make them completely unrelatable while making a new race of midgets more home-oriented and human because they're creatures who want to live small like actual humans do
New Magic Story: Impact
http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/magic-story/impact-2017-03-29
The new story begins today, we see the Jactice League enter the world of Amonkhet. What do you guys think of the story? Where do you see it going? How much will WotC push We Waz Kangz?
>>52430075
As long as it doesn't feature Chandra. Gideon and Lilliana are fun together, but if I hear Gids one more time I will murder someone.
>>52430075
I'm just going to say that while I think some of the "Gatewatching costuming" for the Amonkhet plane is ridiculous (see: Liliana, she should really be wearing something lighter, looser, and perhaps more diaphanous/less clothing, as much as it would make the SJWs rage), I can appreciate that Gideon at least made a vague attempt to TRY and blend in a bit with that artwork.
Can I get a Quick Rundown™ on the story? Thanks
