This is Sibylla, your guide to the Mayanet. I see that you're having some difficulties accessing good results for your search. It's fine! I can also see this is one of your first times on the network. Things are very different on Mayanet than on limited intraplanetary networks: like you may have had on Dawn, perhaps! Let's see if I can't help get you what you're looking for. Just state the nature of you request, and I'll....
...Oh

You want...oh...in a video format?
Can humans even do that safely?
...Please excuse me. I am not currently capable of directing you to this content. I see that I was mistaken. Visitors from the Nomad Nations may wish to speak with their...ambassador if they need content like this.
I, Sibylla, need a few moments to...think about this...

I'm afraid I'm not the normal OP and am pretty busy today, but here's a video on ground scales vs miniature scales, in line with a few comments from last thread.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Po7_4dqSA7E
Even at 1/300 - 6mm, using 100% accurate ground scales in tabletop games is ludicrous.
So this might be the reason why the Commander 2017 decks were moved to August:

How do I roleplay a character who is not autistic?
first off, you need to be not autistic yourself.
Since we've already failed step one, you should just go ahead and play an autistic character.
>>52792189
Just be yourself, bro.
>>52792189
How do you write a character?
No easy answer, as part of RP you find creative ways around problems. You are tasked as a player character to do tasks ultimately.
You could simply achieve certain things by choosing your responses. Your character may be a rash quick fighter but a slow purposeful delegate who considers every word delicately.
There is just so much nuance and ways to even approach this that I can't even think of a decent way to emphasise it properly.
As someone who attempts prose in private, I personally write characters with my own characteristics enhanced or downplayed. Just experiment what you feel is your character.
Hey fa/tg/uys, I'm making a dnd 5e homebrew campaign about interplanetary travel, and I need some fantastic artwork or different creatures/landscapes for inspiration. I'll put my own collection down as well if you guys want to use them.

>>52789029
It's just fun.
Descending Armor Class is kind of counter-intuitive, and I'm about 50/50 on race-as-class, but besides that (and potential quibbles over how alignment should actually correspond to behavior), there is literally no substantial flaw with the B/X and BECMI versions of D&D.
>>52788439
>there is literally no substantial flaw with the B/X and BECMI versions of D&D.
It was impossible to reference the BECMI books. They put all the rules in weird places to make them "easy to learn."
Also, "stretching" thief skills to level 36 by keeping the end-point and slowing progression crimped the already underwhelming class. Not really a fan of the Immortals Set either, but to each their own.
>>52788754
>bump
Auto-sage, actually.
You can't bump your own thread until someone else has posted.
>>52789840
Thanks for letting me know about the bump thing. I appreciate it.
Anyway, yeah, you're right about referencing things being difficult. I was thinking of how the game plays, but formatting is extremely important.
>thief skills
You got me there.
I was mostly speaking about the game's viability as a game, though. I see so much "D&D IS SHIT PLAY SOMETHING ELSE" and it's all based on distaste for 3.PF and later.
And Descending Armor Class is as non-intuitive as a descending leader board
How would Toon Power work in a RPG?
>>52787937

It wouldn't because 'toon powers' are far to broad of an 'ability' that encompass nearly every kind of power.

If it's funny, the GM lets you do it.

>Why don't your characters use reach weapons very often?
Reach weapons are two-handed and I like to play casters. If I'm not though then I use polearms..
My current app is using TWO reach weapons.
Which begs the following question, since Fiend Grip has the reach feature, does that mean I can't use it in melee?
>>52787661
It says that you can attack and threaten adjacent enemies with it in the description.
They say that your birthmark is where or how you died in a past life. Assuming this true, would severe mental illness be a sign that you died psychically rather than physically?

You have been tasked to capture an Immortal.

Do THEY have any magic? What does a success look like, them in an adamantine cage?
Does your party mesh well, /tg/? Let's sort out the patterns they play in and discuss how similar our stupid friends are and how to cater games to them
>Big
>Always plays heavy and slow characters, rarely meddles with magic or other complicated mechanics, tends to roleplay reservedly and is VERY predictable. Masters those mechanics they are dedicated to
>Cos
>Always plays characters with damage and combat utility, but not skills. Roleplays often and well, but does so sideways; never pushes "the main story" but is constantly doing SOMETHING tangential and unrelated but fitting in the vicinity when there's extra time. Uses character as an outlet for stress, sometimes does edgy stuff like collect grim trophies or go overkill
>Flowers
>Decent roleplayer, attempts a range of characters but most fall back to a narrow area of feebleness/timidness, also cannot retain any mechanics from the book and has to be lead by the nose through combat. Wants to lead in roleplay and skills, but is limited by more ambitious other players and lack of player cleverness. RPs "diagonally", sometimes moving the group forward by happenstance but also going off on tangents
>Sunshine
>EXTREMELY reserved, fair roleplayer but NEVER sparks things on their own, will RP well if prompted by someone else. Great in a buddy character setup. Comprehends mechanics when explained, but forgets by the next session and always forgets to study. Very much a follower
>Pink
>Very boisterous IRL, always plays loud characters. Cracks jokes often. Novice RP but remembers mechanics and tries interesting things with them. Looks out for other players, especially Sunshine, and tries to engage them. Also leads the party forward if they start to flounder
>>52786153
>Glam
>The Bard. Always a bard/rogue/swashbuckler, Han Solo, etc. Pulls it off naturally so everyone loves it though. Great RPer, if narrow in interest, and remembers mechanics even if they don't spend extra time in books optimizing. Always leads the party forwards as their characters have solid goals and motivations.
>Speedy
>Studies mechanics enthusiastically, remembers his but doesn't always come to understand the underlying balance or good options. Loves combat. Always pushes for combat. Drags the party forward, as long as forward appears to be a combat encounter. RP is nominal, his characters act often in order to move the game "forward" but have little character to them
>Hoodie
>GM experience, looks out for other players. Plays support/fills in after others choose. Has nearly the entire game or at least the glossary memorized by now, is probably reading this thread. RPs with a variety of characters, but normally passive types that step up after the rest of the party has done their thing. Doesn't lead the party forward, but pushes from behind if they start to stall; picks up GM cues constantly
>Nice Guy
>even when playing tough, martial characters, he's playing as a humble and kind character. never pushes others into doing stuff. Not too keen on casters, prefers the comfyness of defensive fighters.
>meme master
>always repeating the same shit. every plot point is a challenge, every NPC a walking power-up dispenser, every hot NPC a trophy. min-maxes, isn't too good at it, but every time he pulls it off, he acts like he's christ allmighty come down from the heavens.
>Spanish Inquisition
>can be a heavy min-maxer, can wreck the shit out of most enemies, sometimes does random frivolous shit that turns out to be a nice roleplaying addition to the story later on. knows his shit.
>Blunt
>plays smart characters with no sense of cunning, non-fighting characters with no self-preservation instincts, but is heavily invested in the plot and the other players' well being, though has poor memory for any of the secondary points of the plot. also likes showing off in the few things he knows ad nauseam.
