Well, in the 0% corruption ending your minions are like, frolicking around and being all chill and shit. And everything is flowers and happiness and shit.

So yeah, I'd say he's pretty much Good at that point, or as good as a benevolent dictator can be anyway. One that isn't above throwing the lives of hundreds, or possibly thousands of minions away when needed, or if he wants a better sword.

Like your pic related, make it in the way that people pull through with solidarity rather than isolationism and raiding. Make it possible to still farm crops, and possibly also kill off a lot of people so there isn't widespread hunger everywhere.

Really, a non-grimdark post-apocalypse setting is about the healing part that comes after the anarchy and chaos.

There was a really nice manga I was reading about a group of kids surviving after a series of interdimensional monsters swollowed up everyone else. It was spattered with drops of darkness and some intense feels/action/horror scenes, but for the most part life went on.

So I'd say build it a good few years after the EVENT where only the most elderly remember the details and most it's thought of legends. From there, you have splatterings of lore; ruins, journals, piecemeal info that give some darker undertones. Everything else is quite light; people are back to living, either using old tech and not knowing how it exactly works or regressing but doing well. In your example pic, there's a bunch of fishing "ports" and they're all like little communities. Everyone learns to sail, with some having some still working engines.

The point is play up the "life goes on", with mostly happy and sunshine, but with some dark clouds hidden about

You're exaggerating a bit, but the fact that it's only a bit is the sad part.

The speed of the game has certainly gone up gradually over time since it started. While FTK strategies tend to get cards banned, there are plenty of ways available in the game now to flood the field for an OTK.

Saying that there hasn't been deck type variety for over a decade isn't true either; mostly because R4NK spam isn't that old. I say that somewhat in jest, since retrained cards, other ridiculous monsters with generic summoning requirements, and new support for old archetypes continue to shake things up.

Link Summoning was an interesting suggestion in creating limitations against the game's insane extra deck spam problem, but it's too little too late and has already been proven to be easy to break. I do like the reformatting of Pendulum Zones, though.

Someone who plays more competitively probably has a better answer for why it's so popular. I've just been playing it since the beginning, and have fun by playing on a very casual level. Because there are a lot of different groupings of ridiculous cards to try out.

u wot m8, in the last decade we saw the rise and fall of Airblade, TeleDAD, Blackwing, X-Saber, Junk Doppel, Agents, thyat terrible control period with Dibo Rabbit, Dragon Rulers and a series of somewhat stun related top decks in the last years

Shadowrun's too deeply embedded in its own setting to be of much use; Blades in the Dark is a pretty adaptable set of mechanics, I'd try that. There's a Shadowrun hack of it that you could lift some ideas from as well.

I'd say maybe give their faces a light dab/wash to push their definitions a bit further, but as it stands they still are quite solid, you can easily leave as is.

Trying my hand at another seeker missile design. I honestly don't like the look of fins on a missile, it seems like it's rudimentary technology the Tau should be above by now. So how about two thrusters instead?

The FW Resins (Kriegers and Elysians) are true 28mm scale. That means while they'd fit right in with Perry and other Plastic Historicals, they look tiny next to the chunky Cadians and Catachans.

First up, the city. How old is it, and more importantly, how old is it relative to neighboring/rival cities and realms?

This relates closely to How old is our Queen? Has she always been in charge, or has she succeeded earlier rulers?

When if we want to stick to the idea of a God-Ruler I think it makes sense for her and the city to be older then it's at all possible for a Sphinx to live naturally. Probably she's even several times that to really ram home the point that she is 'eternal.' That said I dunno how long Sphinx live.
