This game was so successful. Why didn't GW reboot the tabletop to ride on its coattails?
>>52794710
My money is on them just having distributed the licenses to so many developers that they just can't keep up with them. They are throwing the IP to the wind and seeing if it germinates, so if something does do really well then they just don't have anything prepared to capitalize on it while it lasts. That and GW is GW and GW has the collective business sense of a rogue trader who deals in primitive weapons
>>52794710
They are. The FW BFG reissue isn't until next year at the earliest.
Source is Bell of Lost Souls.
>>52796850
It's supposed to be set during the Heresy. "Battlefleet Heresy" or something. No ayys allowed, but all the old Space Crusade ships are getting modernized.
Is warhammer 40k getting more popular? I keep seeing a influx of 40k memes and reaction images on the rest of 4chan, and one of my normie friends actually asked me about 40k the other day. Whats going on here?
>>52794685
It's just a cool concept and I think a few normies caught wind of it and it's snowballing

>normies caught wind of it
Warcraft/Starcraft based on Warhammer/40k has been popular for quite some time
There are a shit ton of new warhammer video games infesting the normalfags

Rolled 23 (1d26)
Ullator Edition
Spookfest Sub-edition
Shas fixed the Ullator, Fulgrim is a corrupt cinammon roll, anon got loyal NLs and one of the dioramas was finished. Emps being a Perpetual Drunk actually explains things a bit, and both the Mechanicum and the BA are on their way to outspook the NLs. Also, anon made a Shield Captain with two Claws instead of a shield. Pack up the stuff m8s, he passed. All of that and more in the previously Robouted bread -> >>52778791

THREAD QUESTION:
>How many players is TOO many players?
>>52793408
>How many players is TOO many players?
depends on the size of the table
>How many players is TOO many players?
I've found that the difficulty of running games increases drastically once you reach the five player mark.
>>52793408
I'll just reiterate my Chainmail OD&D questions from last thread quicklike:
>Is there an 'intended' way to cross-pollinate bonuses from one combat system (STR damage bonus in M2M) to another (20:1 HD-per-man)? I have some solutions but they're not elegant
>Why do halbards [sic] get a +1 Man in 20:1, but nothing reflective in M2M?
>Is WIS a dump stat? Even supplements don't seem to do anything with it
I'm also humming and hawing on whether to use Facing. It seems more intended for large units, not individuals, but it could be of interest for Thieves.
>Where exactly do you stand in the room anon?
>>52793152
>What did you say to the king?
>what was your dex modifier again?
>anyone got some d6s I can borrow I need a few more
>So your setting is like Game of Thrones?
>>52792940
>so dnd is kinda like World of Warcraft?
>>52792983
>tfw I had a player who never played DnD before say this to me
>>52792983Yes, it is
Your party are granted unfettered access to the largest library; private or public, in your setting.
One of them grabs a book from a shelf:
http://www.fantasynamegenerators.com/book-title-generator.php#.WPe856K1vIU
What do they find?
>Roll and random title
>Give a short blurb and the author of said book.
>If you want to tailor it to your specific setting, that's fine.
>Soldier Of Stone
A story about a golem guard who finds himself defending an abandoned Fortress.
>Secrets of Orbital Flight
A manual filled with unknowable script, strange schematics, and severely advanced mathematics. Those with planar knowledge or experience can begin to deduce the mysteries therein and discover the obvious.
>Signs in the Forest
No one has the guts to open it.
OOOOOOOOOOOKAY
So from /diy/ I got sent to /toys/ and they sent me here. Hopefully, I get the help that I need.
So shipping cost is too much plus minis are just expensive in itself. Any alternatives that I can use or create?
You can print them on paper. Look at juniorgenerals for a tutorial on how to make paper miniatures
>>52790099
I would make this as my last resort. Papers get destroyed easily
>>52790042
Buy greenstuff or other similar thing. Some thin wire that keeps form after it is bent. Make small instruments for sculpting.
Sculpt your minis. Done.
Thoughts on Arabian settings?
>>52789716
Al-Qadim was good.
>>52789716
Running one now. Well sorta. Arabian, Mediterranean, and Indian. The players are going to be going to the arabian/ persian area soon. Highly recommend trying it out.
>>52789716
I love them, especially >>52790010
Unfortunately we can't talk about them on /tg/ these days because of all the /pol/tards.
All right /tg/, put yourself in the DM shoes for a bit, and answer me this question, at which point of these categories would you kick the player from your group?
Timewise:
>is around 10 minutes late to every session
>is around 30 minutes late to every session
>is around 1 hour late to every session
>any of the above, but has actually told you he might be late
When level ups are concerned:
>agrees to level up his character now, proceeds to play vidya instead
>agrees to level up now, forgets, does it a couple hours later when you remind him
>as above, but days instead of hours
>leaves level up to right before the session
>comes to the session without getting the next level
Actually being on the session:
>skips a day, but mentions that a day or two ahead
>skips one, but informs you on the same day
>skips one, no information about it, but says why he was gone the next day
>skips one, but gives no info why he wasn't there
>skips one, and the next day says that he just didn't feel like it
Combat wise:
>constantly asks for remaining HP/how much does he need to roll to hit
>checks stat blocks on his phone to know those
>calls you out when according to the stat block he should've hit/killed something
RP wise:
>ignores his alignment until it's convinient for him to use it
>ignores everything about his character until it's convinient
>doesn't remember his own backstory
>doesn't have a backstory
Attention wise:
>doesn't pay attention outside of combat
>doesn't pay attention outside of his own turns
>doesn't pay attention at all until somebody reminds him it's his turn
Well, awaiting your answers lads.
>>52789272
10 minutes is acceptable for lateness, consistent 30 is not.
Im...not sure what you mean by that level up stuff. I usually just leave an hour or so for it.
As for being present, I run weeklys so you only get two misses in a month before you're on probation. One more strike and you're out.
Nobody has patience for any of that stuff in combat.
Alignment is shit, nobody should use it, and the rest of those deserve immediate mention and rehabilitation.
Same applies to any of that shit for attention.
>>52789458
>Im...not sure what you mean by that level up stuff. I usually just leave an hour or so for it.
essentially asking the guy to level up, since I don't really trust any of my players to level up on their own
>hey dude you ready to level your char up
>yeah sure, give me 5 minutes
>insert any of the level up options from first post here
>>52789272
>Timewise:
Late three times in a row, you're out. Public transport means you get 30min leeway.
>Level ups:
Treat as late until it is done. I'm not helping, ever.
>Being on the session:
Okay to skip as long as it's a day or two ahead.
Okay to skip if they inform the same day, and the reason isn't something in their control.
Skip for any other reason, you're gone.
Skip repeatedly, your character will get shelved until you can commit to games.
>Combat wise
None of these are acceptable on any level.
>RP wise:
Eh, bad rp is still rp. They'll learn in time. If they don't, they won't be invited again.
>Attention wise:
If their lack of attention gets in the way of combat in having to repeat things to them, their character will space out and/or spend their turn assessing the situation. They won't space out for long.
Rules:
>Every new detail introduced must be introduced through an argumentative or opinionated statement as if you were a long-time fan of it. Introducing new details to oppose a previous statement is Encouraged.
>No more than 5 factions/nations, however Factions aren't necessarily limited by race.
Alliance-fags can get fucked. Your oh-So blessed council is little more than a bunch of squabbling toddlers who rarely, if ever come to a decision, huddled together so they can circlejerk while the people die off due to military ineptitude or economic crisis. Hell, if it weren't for the Millennium War, the council wouldn't even exist and the nations would probably have already killed each other off.
Xandrius on the other hand:
>Glorious Stratocratic Government headed by brilliant minds and badass generals who've proven their worth through battle after battle, victory after victory.
>Equal opportunity government. Surviving your first battle is the first step to political and personal success.
>Led by TITUS FUCKING CRIMSON. Just hearing a name so manly is enough to put hair on your chest, let alone hearing his victories.
>>52789068
I hardly think Crimson can be held responsible for those victories. The man is a brainless barbarian who can barely form a coherent sentence without aid from his advisors. And as for his actual skills in battle I don't think beating the shit out of half a dozen Halfling's counts as "Impressive".
As for the alliance council, have you forgotten that one of its oldest members and most esteemed generals is a Gods Damned DRAGON. Councilor Drahak may be getting a little long in the tooth, but he could still burn your "Titus Fucking Crimson" to a crisp with extreme ease.
The only reason Xandrius continues to exist is because the council feels sorry for you. After all, it must be frustrating, having leaders who think that the best way to solve a famine is to have drill sergeants scream at the soil
>>52789068
bump
>>52789333
>Calling Hellfolk Halflings
You and I both know that exterminating those cannibalistic maniacal little shits is no small feat, they multiply faster than kobolds. The only reason you play it off as no big deal is because the Alliance is home to the remaining nests for those vermin.
How does it feel to know that your "Great Drahak" agreed to letting them desecrate your dead? How long do you think they wait before digging up your mother's grave and serving up her rotting flesh to their young? My guess is not even an hour after everyone leaves the funeral.

Wish list for GHB2!
1: The 4th rules of One: The same ability DO NOT stack!
2: Allies(0-2 units) that don't break your allegiance.
3: The 1st rules of One: Each spell and prayer can be attempted only once per turn...!
Any idea? BTW, I think no one care about the Triumphs table, right?

I just want GW to actually acknowledge Forge World model point values
I can't wait to try out these Palladors. It may be a few games until I can use them once the army points grow in our escalation.
>>52788915
I think the riders look too big for the mounts. Its hard to imagine they would be very nimble or quick carrying around so much weight.
How would your Charecter fare against this guy?
Lets say he's lvl 5
My character has a gun and not much else in terms of combat capability. So it boils down to if we're following realistic interpretation of how firearms function or D&D interpretation how firearms function.
>>52788574
Can he parry 7.62x54R?

You say it.

A lot of traditional green draw still works. Primordial Sage, Soul of the Harvest, Collective Unconscious...
Is Dark Confidant good in EDH with a medium-low mana curve? I need more card draw in my deck to keep up with the spiky Blue decks at my LGS
