I recruited some people on /soc/. I'm running a fantasy quest on the kik app for some people who i met through /soc/, with classes and abilities chosen based on their appearance. I've been rolling d6s based on abilities on my end.

I hope this doesn't violate /qst/ rules, but post your picture and pick a class for everyone else who posts a picture.

if this doesn't work, i'll cross post with /soc/ the next time i put a thread up.

"So you finally chose to arrive" Chōjirō Sasakibe said calmly, sitting at the end of the captain's table like a westerner, a cup of steaming tea sitting in front of him "Isshin Shiba"

Captain Shiba smirked and took his seat slowly, drawing the looks of his fellow captains. Also present were Jūshirō Ukitake, the well mannered and honorable captain of the 13th division with stark white hair and green eyes, Yoruichi Shihōin the playful and cat like captain of the 2nd division and the Onmitsukidō, Ginrei Kuchiki Captain of the 6th division and patriarch of the kuchiki family and surprisingly, the current Kenpachi, Asagi,
captain of the 11th division with her pale yellow eyes and deranged raven black hair, watching the other captains suspiciously as she clung to her Zanpakutō like a man struggling to stop himself from washing away during a storm.

"So are we going to start, or do I have to wait awhile before we actually get down to anything important" Isshin asked lazily, scratching his head tiredly as Chōjirō took a long sip of his tea

"Oh do not fret about such things, we've waited long enough for the rest of the captains, if they do show up we can simply fill them in on what we've already discussed" He said calmly "I am of course sitting in for lord yamamoto as he had other business to attend to"

"They could just be taking the most scenic route over here" Ukitake said happily, looking towards the open door way "But somehow I doubt that...so why have we been called here anyways?"

"Yes, what's so important to beg our attention?" lord kuchiki asked before carefully taking a sip of tea himself, looking rather annoyed for some reason.

Yoruichi grinned a knowing smile and leaned across the table towards the old man, making Kenpach watch her nervously moving to get ready to draw her blade at a moments notice.

"Oh? and what's got you so grumpy old timer?" She asked, tilting her head as the elderly captain frowned deeply and growled in a very unbecoming way

"Some ruffian destroyed part of my bamboo garden, and as far as I can tell, no one saw who committed the crime" He said, calming himself down by taking another sip of tea, his hand shaking slightly as her set it down

"Oh"Ukitake said, nodding slowly as he covered his mouth, looking slightly ill "Well..well I hope you find out whoever did it soon"

"I bet it was that brat of a grandson of yours"Isshin chuckled as he watched his fellow, white haired captain wheezing and hacking "Hey, you sure you can"

"I'm fine" Ukitake said sternly as he straightened himself up "if it gets any worse I'll go see the 4th division, but I really want to hear about this...Kemuri girl"

What happens when a dungeon keeper and an adventurer fall in love?

That is the short story of it all.

The long version is once upon a time a boyish orphan adventurer named Avis fell in love with a dungeon keeper named Nova. He confessed when he raided her dungeon and asked for a date upon seeing her beautiful appearance underneath the armor. Since she agreed to one request of his for sparing her she agreed.

Alas things were not meant to be so simple...as later on Avis and other adventurers whom he went to school with/grew up along side with targeted her dungeon. Avis soon found himself in a pickle when an unknown voice spoke up inside his head stating "If you really loved her you would save her' so Avis leaped to action. Betraying his comrades in the name of love...

This would haunt them especially knowing the fact that should it ever happen again...Avis knows he would do it again. That was how Avis met Vek the heart of Nova's dungeon. Who has it turned out pulled some light mental tricks on him and thus began their hate/love relationship.

Ever since then grew distant with his academy and friends but closer to his...admittedly quite evil lover. At the same time she helped supply, taught, and train her new young lover. Allowing Avis to learn such dangerous arts like Death Demon styles and dirty shadow fighting trickery. Admittedly quite frowned upon but given he is an adventurer they get quite bit more leeway then most.

Things moved rather quickly after a near death experience he lost his virginity and a few mere dungeon raids. As soon Avis found himself outright engaged but after that things seemed to slow down after that and Avis acquired some new quality gear.

Hello again fellow creators and questers. It's been a while since I've had the time to do this, but finally I have a period of time to run another EvoGame series. The goal of this game/quest series is to see how far the evolution of these critters go, and to make a thriving ecosystem of creatures and aberrations.

As GM, I'll do my best to actively work on phylogeny charts to track the evolutions, and also make random events for the world to drive evolution down new paths. Since I've done this a few times now, and taken the time to observe/lurk on other EvoGames, I've picked up a few new tricks to keep everything organized and streamline too.

How to play:
• Open an image of a species in MS Paint, or your editor of choice
• Make one evolutionary change to that species
• Save as .PNG!
• Post your new species in the thread with a description of what evolution you've added and why.
• Details indicating what the generation of your species is important. Please indicate. (Base Organisms are Generation 0)
• Details regarding a creatures size or name aren't necessary, but are encouraged.
• Nothing too outlandish. Anything incredibly silly or outlandish will not be considered a canon species 95% of the time.

Notes:
• Unless stated explicitly, no species ever goes extinct. Old species can still evolve, even if they're not on the latest "chain"
• Try to make your evolutions gradual and realistic in biological standards.
• Everyday I'll add an update Phylogeny Chart to track changes. These take awhile, so please be patient.
• Every 12-24 hours I'll be rolling for a Random World Event.
• Extinction Events will have a chance of occurring once more, and likely with little warning. Be ready for life to adapt.

• I know the sheer number of creatures that already exist is pretty daunting, and may make introducing something new feel precarious, but trust me when I say all new organisms will be welcomed with open arms.

The map above is our world, Essari in the Late Magnarovic Era, a time of peace where life has grown and diversified without fear of extinction. The days of Magnarovic Era are coming to end though, and only time will tell what trails lie ahead.

You, a skilled veteran, step into the desperate village. It needs the help of a team of adventurers willing to clear out the dungeons it's unfortunately near to. Although many single mercenaries tried to play hero and head in by themselves, they realized all too late that no one man can stand the might of evil. You know you need a team of capable and organized heroes to take out the evil, and save the town... and save some money too.

The townspeople are gracious for your arrival. The unofficial mayor shakes your hand nervously under your gaze, and shows you around.

"H-here is the bulletin board. It's where all the mercenaries state their price and skills, and we hire them to fight! I-it doesn't work out well..."

Looking at the board, you see papers for the following:
Goddard, the Paladin
Lex, the Thief
David, the Cleric
Donald, the Gunslinger
You know that solo, they stand no chance. But together... you can make this work.
Your roster is which adventurers you take with you on your next quest. Positioning matters - far right is up front, and far left is all the way back.

"Good, good. Uhm, next we have the Shoppe. Say hello, Garfield."

The plump shopkeeper winks at you and waves over his wares.

"I thank you for coming, sir. Considering you're out to help us, I will give you a loan of 200 gold. Don't worry about paying that back. Do if you can, though."

The shop is upgradable for 200g, then Garfield will sell 5 more items!
ANTIDOTE - 20g - Cures diseases, consumed on use.
FOOD - 8g - Can be eaten in combat to heal 2 HP. If you have less than 4 food, one of the party members will lose 3 PSYCH per turn. Consumed on use.
BANDAGES - 15g - Stops the flow of bleeding, consumed on use.
TORCH - 5g - Refuels your light by 1 unit. 1 unit is consumed upon moving between rooms, with a max of 5 units. At 3 units, you lose 1 PSYCH per turn.
At 2, you lose 2 PSYCH; At 1, 3 PSYCH, and at 0, 5 PSYCH. Consumed on use.
KEY - 20g - Used to open chests and locked doors. Consumed on use.

The mayor clears his throat and gestures to the Tavern.

"Over there, your heroes can rest. Consider it after a long quest."

The tavern is upgradable for 100g, then the Tavern will gain another slot
You can leave your adventurers here for a quest. When you get back, they'll be fully healed and have full PSYCH.
It costs 15 gold to leave a mercenary there.

"At the blacksmith, you can get yourself better armor and weaponry."

The blacksmith is upgradable for 150g, then you can upgrade your HP or ATK above 2 each.
You can upgrade a character's HP or ATK by 1 for 25g each. Right now, the max upgrade tier is 2.

For now, you decide to take it easy. Today you will assign your new team to their slots in the roster, and tomorrow you'll run a quick tutorial course with them. After that, you'll buy what you need from the merchant and leave for the nearest quest: an underground stone dungeon.

He pulls the sword out, leaving you gasping for breath, even though it's a virtual wound in a virtual world. He sheathes it, and walks out, slamming the door behind him.

"Holy shit are you okay?" Incog comes running over, looking you over and pulling out a healing potion "here, drink this!"

You shake your head, leaning on the bar "I'm fine, just hurts like a cunt is all, can't die in a safe zone, thankfully"

She pulls a chair over and lets you rest a few moments, and then pops the question.

"So... you a psychology major or something? I've never seen anyone break over a few words so fast"

You are the former United States Navy warship USS HOEL, now returned as a shipgirl and ready to kick Abyssal ass!

Currently, you in a shipo el shipo fight with an Abyssal Heavy Cruiser, and not a normal cruiser, either. You suspect she's one of those Princess-level types, which makes things a whole lot more interesting.

Interesting in the way that you were basically completely outmatched against her in a straight up fight and the both of you knew it. You were just trying to buy Haida enough time to intercept that Very Important Asset the Heavy Cruiser Princess was protecting.

Fortunately, a fully armed flight of F-35s were coming in to provide support, but you were conflicted. Have them hit the Heavy Cruiser to eliminate her as a threat, or send them against the Asset's remaining escorts to make things easier for Haida...?

Right, well, they do say there's a first time for everything, and this is the first time you've met merchants who aren't lusting after profit. Esyllt would go insane if she heard about this.

Shinobi Quest #39

This quest takes place within the lands of the Five Great Shinobi Nations (aka Narutoverse) starting roughly around the beginning of the original series. The world of this quest remains similar to the original, with slight but notable differences in certain areas, based upon the passage of time from a single slightly altered event.

(It’s a goddamn Naruto Quest, you bastards. Have fun, participate, and write in when you feel inclined. Most of the outcomes of this quest will be determined by you, the players. Critiques and questions are always welcome, as my knowledge of the weeby shit is not all encompassing.)

Last thread, Tsuki notified her family and employees about her decision to leave with Itachi for training. She also had a very interesting talk with her Father, Yoru, regarding the death of her mother, and the inception of her powers.

Finally, she leaves with Itachi for training, after taking an impromptu Team photo.

“Lieutenant!” You can hear Azuma barge into your room, and take a whiff. Yeah, he smells the alcohol. “Oh for fucks sake, Lieutenant.” He wanders around the room, finding your room here in Camp Sugar Watkins relatively neat and orderly (you don't have much else to do anyway), save for the bed. There, he finds you lying on the floor, naked as the day you were born, with barely the sheets wrapped around you to keep you decent. Your face lies in a small puddle of dried up drool. “Lieutenant.”

You spit a bit. “Fuck do you want.”

“Lieutenant, Danner's here. He wants to talk to you about the Idol business. Demographics we need to target, locations we need to go to after our first concert, the business of hiring more Idols.” Oh yes, yes. Idol business. You grab your throbbing forehead, grimacing at the fact that it feels like you lost an argument with a train.

“Right...” You wave him off. “Fuck off. I'll be with you in a minute.”

He stands there, tilting his head. “Do you-... want any help?”

“Do I look like a fucking child to you?”

“Yes.”

“You-” You sit up, wiping the dried off drool and spittle off your face. “I'll have you know! I won a fucking Terran Cross! And I'm a fucking FIRST Lieutenant of the Mobile Infantry, not some third-rate butterbars what came right out of fucking OCS!” You point at him, wagging your finger. “And I deserve some fucking respect! First off, you should be honored that you get to see me in my birthday suit! Only seven other boys have seen that!” Admittedly, they were only around for a couple of nights, your last boyfriend only lasted a week before deciding to break it off. But it's the thought that counts!

Azuma takes one long look at you, then says, “I've seen better.”

“Fuck off!” Your pillow nearly knocks him over.

He tosses the pillow onto the bed. “Well, I'm not gonna be your mother if you're gonna keep acting like a child. Today the girls start their suit training too. They might need some advice on that before they break an arm or something.” Okay, no, yeah, that's actually very important. “I'll leave you to it.” He starts to walk out the door.

“Wait, Azuma!” You rest your head on the bed, and watch him turn around unamusedly. “... I'm sorry.”

He rolls his eyes, sighing. “Just make yourself presentable, Lieutenant. Be the Lieutenant I know you are.” And with that, he exits your room.

Hmph, fuck he knows about you.

This is an adventure inspired by the survival-horror genre. In this quest, you play a young woman in her second year of college who is going to a Halloween party with some of her friends. Quickly things will take a turn for the worse, but right now her only worry in the world is getting ready for the party.

Rules go as follows:

Any text written in blue will be a direct question to the players. This will include things like names, clothes, and certain actions.

At certain points, the actions are predetermined and are shown in green. In these cases, the players pick which of the options they want to use as their action. Sometimes certain words will be highlighted in green as well. These are required actions which must be done in order to proceed.

The hour is written in red.

The game master will pick which of the player responses get put into action. If you like another player’s response and agree with them, please respond to both the question and the response with something along the lines of ‘seconded’. Responses that have been seconded are much more likely to be put into action.
