Aussie fisher here. Carp are fucking pests, only place they belong is on a rock, dying.
Locally, they've destroyed all the cod habitat, and pretty much killed off wild trout. Fucking little cunts they are..

when i see carp i sharpen a stick
spear them
and toss them into the bushes
nasty fucks that muddy the water, taste like battery acid, and kill off all the other fish

it's illegal in my state to to not kill a carp after hooking it

I actually have the same pants in your pic OP, but they have suspendeders built in.... I use them for skiing.

They are awesome. Got them like 10 years ago on sale for like $20. Got a Marler ski jacket too for like $40... come to think of it, I got ski boots MSRP $800 for $125.... needless to say, that store went out of business. Everything was always on clearance seemed like.

They're good pants but I've never hiked in them. Only ski in them.

Comfy as fuck. Ankle support isn't the best I've seen. So if you are a clumsy mother fucker, get a heavier boot. If you can walk properly, these are damn fine.

Did he bite you? There's a chance he had rabies, which would have caused him to attack. Very few other reasons why a mouse would attack you. If he bit you at all, I'd have it checked out FOR SURE.

If you do get rabies, the death rate is nearly 100%.

Well, name one place a day-trip distance from Chicago where there's /out/ stuff to do. I've looked into sailing but I'm pretty broke right now so it's off the table. Basically right now I have typical camping gear, and a small trad climbing rack along with mountaineering gear I've put together over the years.
