I seen bolt on e85 5.0 make close to 500 to the wheels
>>
>>17724290
stock wheel never got messured but it was prob near 340, dyno jet dyno... also id like to see that bolt on 500 whp coyote, e85 is the only "bolt on" i havent done and that only worth maybe 10-15.. i have never seen a bolt on mustang near 500, highest i usually see is 430-440

I need a car, I just got a new job after having been a minwage fuckup who couldn't afford one.

I'll have around $2,200 a month after bills each month.

Should I just buy something asap or wait til I have $4,400 the following month?

Currently commuting 15 miles to and 15 miles from 5 days a week.

Definitly wait, don't end up with a shitbox that is always breaking

>>17724254
I figured as much,

I figured I could get maybe a 2007 Civic or something

Is there a more reliable, better looking, tougher, better mileage, smoother ride vehicle that exists in its class ('80s-'00s SUVs)?

I've thought about the LX470, is that better than an XJ overall?

Or just bolt a fire extinguisher into the passenger footwell.

Britbong here, just got back from a trip to the US where I drove for a week (in California, I know it's different elsewhere).

Why the FUCK are there 4-way stop signs everywhere? It makes no sense.

Why the FUCK do Californians refuse to let people merge? You know letting people in speeds traffic up, right?

Why don't the lights to go amber before going green? It gives texting and driving idiots a chance to put their phone down, and everyone else a chance to get ready to go.

I did like how wide the roads were though, and the pretty much complete lack of speed monitoring. I went through loads of "radar enforced" areas and never saw a copper once.

Pic related, my rental.

>>
Cali has aggro drivers. Sorry bud. How did you like the pony car?
>>
That flashing / amber thing before going green was really neat in Austria. Something that should be implemented.

Our driving rules and tests are really lax so even 85 IQ groids can pass which leads to this shit behavior on the roads. This effect is exponential in any major city.
>>
>>17723852
Idiots drive in all of the US but that's because we're a pretty big country with a lot of land between major and minor cities and towns. The best drivers will be in the most respectable states like Montana and New Hampshire. My best advice next time is follow your gut and drive defensively like in any country and never speed unless you are in traffic. Cruise control is your friend for long trips.

Did you like it overall? I have a safe spot for Brits and Aussies/kiwis. Ya'll are our cousins from across the band and I feel we should treat each other as such. Also take advantage of the gun culture. We live and respect firearms more than any country so go ahead and fire an AR-15 next time. It's addicting.

Hey /o/ poorfag here needs some help.
I'm broke and my wheel bearing is going out on my 1999 Corolla and I'm going to try to replace it myself. The only issue is I cannot find any front wheel bearings that have an abs sensor. If the hub and everything else looks good can I just swap out the bearing itself and not have any issues?
10 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>17723759
you can't swap out the bearing without a press. and if it's rusty, fuhgeddaboutit. buy a whole new hub. it's more expensive but a lot less of a hassle.
>>
there are kits you can rent for free (bearing press kits) where you can do it yerself
but yeah since it's old i would get a new hub and bearing
>>
>>17723764
But all of the hubs are non abs. (from rockauto to advance auto/O'rielly's) Would I also have to buy a new ABS sensor?
I work in a forge and we have a die shop with manual/pneumatic presses. All of the shops in my area are charging between 250-400$ to do this.

When I bought my car (pic related is directly from the craigslist ad) last year, it only came with these uglee Konig Illusion wheels. I was going to buy new wheels, but now I'm thinking it'd be more cost effective to have these ones professionally repainted/refinished. I wouldn't have to get new tires, the curb rash from previous owner would be gone, and I think these ones would actually look halfway decent without the ridiculous two-tone paintjob.

What do u think? New wheels or repaint? What color would look best? I'm leaning toward a dark matte gray, like the red WRX from the opening scene in Baby Driver

>>
>>17723499
I dont personally see a problem woth your current wheels, but if you hate them I'd say refinish over new rims.

Thoughts?

I was thinking they'd go with the Impala, but this doesn't look too bad. NASCAR is moving away from their "family sedan" vision, but that's not surprising considering everything else they've changed. There's a lot drawn from the SS in this though.
I wonder if Ford comes through with the Mustang or Toyota with the 86 or the supra lol. Why not up the ante is Chevy is doing so

Toyota could throw some Lexus LFA stickers on theirs.

what's wrong with your current car? fix it or just get a civic for 3k.
>>
>>17723386
Nice shitpost, but thanks for the bump I guess. Current truck is 30 years old and not worth fixing and I don't wanna pay the Honda tax, plus I'm not a fan of Civics.

I fucking love Accords tho.
>>
>>17723434
it's not a shitpost. an 01-05 civic is way better than an old truck. it's got cruise control and power everything except seats and you can use an aux jack with the oem radio. that mazda is no better.

what 30 year old truck isn't worth fixing? it's a classic now and done depreciating so eventually it'll go back up.

95e10 fuel burns hotter then the previous 95.
also rubber hoses can't really take it and rupture prematurely. an oldtimer once caught fire in belgium because of it. and as i work in the lawnmower business i have to recommend people to use 98 instead of 95e10 as said it burns higher and the air cooled lawnmowers can't cool properly anymore and they wear out much faster. i say use it at own risk. i never use the cheap stuff, I've always used 98.
>>
>>17723383
I've been using 98. My car runs better on it, I'm sure of it.
