I need a car, I just got a new job after having been a minwage fuckup who couldn't afford one.
I'll have around $2,200 a month after bills each month.
Should I just buy something asap or wait til I have $4,400 the following month?
Currently commuting 15 miles to and 15 miles from 5 days a week.

The longer you wait, the more good deals you can find. The 5000$ range presents a lot more opportunities than the 2500$ range, I suggest you buy a 5000$ car in decent condition, and budget 1200$ for a fix and new parts, so waiting 3 months just to be safe and give yourself more time to find the best car for your needs.
