When I bought my car (pic related is directly from the craigslist ad) last year, it only came with these uglee Konig Illusion wheels. I was going to buy new wheels, but now I'm thinking it'd be more cost effective to have these ones professionally repainted/refinished. I wouldn't have to get new tires, the curb rash from previous owner would be gone, and I think these ones would actually look halfway decent without the ridiculous two-tone paintjob.
What do u think? New wheels or repaint? What color would look best? I'm leaning toward a dark matte gray, like the red WRX from the opening scene in Baby Driver

How much would a sand and paint from your local shops cost? It can vary a lot.
If I were you, I'd just check craigslist for wheels that fit your car every day. You'll come across something you like eventually, and some nice pieces show up for good prices - usually with tires too.
Since your wheels at least match you car, I wouldn't worry too much. Just spend a little time each day looking for deals. Nice car, OP.

I've been doing the craigslist hunting for a while, my main problem has been the 5x100 bolt pattern. It's not that great when it comes to having a wide selection. It's one of the reasons I've been convincing myself to just refinish my current wheels.

I mean it's not like ultra rare, it's just not common enough to be all over craigslist where I live. Every time I search, it's mainly shitty Subaru wheels from the 90's on Blizzaks. Not like 5x114.3, that would be ideal. I didn't mean to suggest that 5x100 sucks or anything

Just plastidip your wheels, and before it starts to ruin, find rims you actually want. Plastidip has tons of great colors to choose from. Pic related is plastidip black, pretty easy to find and pretty cheap too.
