I know that the last time I tried this it backfired hard and that it has taken me 27 years to get back to where I was but I know what went wrong last time; my dear younger half-brother that designed "the Homer" wasn't a car enthusiast so he didn't get what people who actually care about cars want. But YOU there you are a car enthusiast and know shit about cars, right?
An/o/n, I need YOUR help. I want YOU to help me design a car. A car for all aut/o/ enthusiasts out there and I want to pay YOU 2,000,000 dollars a year for designing that car.
An/o/n meet my team of engineers, they are going to build YOUR car. Now get on it tell them what they need to do.
Here are 2 ideas for "Homers":
First one is kinda simple, do an affordable version of McLaren F1. The most important points here are to keep the seating configuration, replace the engine with a V6 (for packaging purposes and to keep the car affordable) and otherwise keep the basic concept as close as possible to the F1 but obviously with using expensive materials like carbon fibre, titanium, kevlar and gold and keeping the execution closer to something like mk2 MR2. I shall codename this idea MR3.
Second idea is basically to take a mid-size luxory car (think of something like W124 series Mercedes Benz) but to put a boxer engine under the rear seats instead of the normal location. This would give you a mid-engined car that could give a comfy ride to 4 full sized adults, great handling characteristics and have good amount of space for your stuff both in the traditional trunk at the back and the HUGE frunk in the front. I shall codename this idea MR4.
You can probably guess that all I want is a car that uses MR layout that can take more than 1 passenger. I'm also aware that my latter idea having a huge design flaw in positioning the engine in a location that is literally impossible to get access to without either removing the rear seat every time you need to access it or without some kind of rear subframe that is easy to open up and close as needed but I'm sure the latter could be done somehow.
V6 is shit. MR is shit. Fuck off.
Just make a car with a fuck hueg engine and great suspension that meets NHTSA standards and CAFE and all that shit but the safe, heavy, ugly parts can easily be removed by the end consumer and have a buyback program to take those parts back in (to be put onto other new cars) and exchanged for exactly enough to buy a bolt-on supercharger that you also happen to provide and that is covered by the warranty.
how can anyone hope to compete? the 2018 Mustang GT is truly breathtaking and amazing. the fact that it outperforms the camaro ss while being far cheaper is even more amazing.
ohc>pushrods every single time.
literally cannot compete with a camaro
Fuck off spamming autist, we know you just "switched sides'.

I don't even like american or muscle cars but the camarao looks like trash, like a cheap hotwheels car. At least the mustang looks good.

what the fuck
Does anyone else feel like their car feels better at night?
Everything feels more responsive and the driving experience feels so much better.
I guess this could be due to the colder air and less traffic. Or is it the lack of light as an extra later of danger that makes you feel like you're going faster?
Whatever it is driving at night has become my new favorite activity.
Shut up fag

That's not very friendly.

I feel u, driving down the road with no traffic or no one on the road, the street lights passing ur car has u drive
ICE not Dead yet ...Mazda Skyactiv-X engines will be able to ignite the air-fuel mixture using compression. Infiniti VC-T can vary the compression ratio of the VC-T to facilitate punchy performance under heavy loads.
Qoros QamFree uses a set of electro-hydraulic-pneumatic actuators to precisely control each valve in the engine. Toyota, Yaris is able to swap between the Atkinson and Otto cycles depending on how hard the driver is pushing.

The freevalve technology was developed by Koenigsegg, not by Qoros

always thought that was BMW
Nissan's variable compression is so fucking contrived

Anyone live inner city and drives a stick?
Ive been wanting to get my next car in manual so im not auto cucked and nigger proof my car
Can /o/ red pill me on citylife+stick or is driving auto fine?
Its not that bad if Yuros can do it, and the type of person who would steal cars for a career would definitely know manual (usually whatever shitbag minority in the area that isn't American Black, like Mexican, Dominican, Haitian, Viets/Hmongs, etc)
Just do it because you enjoy it.
I do it and it's not really a problem. I drive about 2 hours a day in traffic and you get used to it. Best tip is to follow a truck and idle on first behind him.
>>17742137
i drive close to a hour a day to get to and from work in the city and daily a manual, no issues
Yo listen to those Italian kids from the Falls in the 240zx parked in front of the little ceez my boy would have fucked you guys up but I'm pretty reasonable too that particular parking position would have got you shot in most states but yo rwd and stick shift earns you a certain respect so to listen and be careful and yo let's hope we cross paths on proper terms next time
