So according to my research, a Cobalt SS Turbo from 2008 onward is the cheapest way to be faster than just about everything you see on the road in America. Sadly it's FF, but am I wrong? This thing has muscle car-tier 0 to 60mph (5.5 seconds) times for a quarter of the cost in a fucking I4. That's incredible.
Sure, it's >Chevy and the interior is plastic fantastic but their 2.xl Ecotec is well known as a reliable engine and the F35 transmission is bulletproof.
Yea yea I know what you're thinking.
>MUH DEADLY KEYS
That was solved in a recall which GM will do for free. Even then if you don't have thirty key charms it should never happen.
Yes, the exterior styling looks like a crossbreed between a Cavalier in front and a Corvette in back but it could very well be worse. Overall it's fairly clean and rounded. The tall spoiler can easily be replaced with something that won't block your vision.
Maybe I'm missing some part of this car that's bad, but it seems like it's the best performance/price ratio car in America. Nothing else comes close. Not Civic SIs, not FiSTs, nothing.
It's faster than a skyline gtr for about an 1/8 of the cost. Do it
Its a Cobalt
Its pretty much the definition of a fast shitbox. Its not very comfortable, its poorly built, and all the people who had SRT4s in the mid 2000s jumped over to SS Turbos as soon as they came out making them hard to find in good shape without some stupid fucking reflash or aftermarket turbo w/meth injection already done to it. Its pre-bankruptcy GM at its finest.
And quite frankly I don't see it staying a good "overall package" once you go past basic bolt ons (so like 300-320whp~?), the power will likely be too much for front wheels to propel and corner at the same time.
350Zs are pretty much in the same price range nowadays. You either can get a Ghosen-Era Nissan with a French drivetrain or a pre-bankruptcy GM sport compact shitbox that's noteworthy for its meme lap times.

>meme lap times.
benchracers on /o/ would love it!
How does /o/ clean the inside of their car windows? I have a ford fusion and its hard to reach the window and it just smears and looks terrible

I just wipe it with a cloth when it is wet and then blast it full on with ac air.
>>15424323
Not op but I'll speak for him. You're a retard. Are you seriously implying windows don't get dirty? You stick shit to them, you're bound to touch them at some point in life, and over time dirt and debris can accumulate.

Possible Locations, these are the not-wrong-turn areas of the state that I know of, list more if there's better.
>East River (Tougue as fack)
>Beckley (Big Town, amazing tougue nearby on Rt. 99, plus more all over the place)
>Charleston (City, not very many good roads)
>Montgomery (College Town 1, good-ish roads)
>Morgantown (College Town 2, shit roads)
I'm in Beckley, but have gas will travel
morgantown represent. can confirm shit roads.
There's a West Virginia?
Anyone bought/planning to buy them chink-branded cars? Haval, Chery, Geely. Dong Feng, things like that.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not insulting people for buying them, just curious. I know plenty of non-american here and somehow had bought some chink vehicles (cars, bike, SUV, etc). Anything to share?
>pic related
I kinda like the design, and from the reviews it seems like a decent car as well
>>15453564
I used to have a Chery QQ. Plasticy, underpowered, has safety rating of a tuk-tuk (only that it has seatbelts), all the dashboards rattled after less than 2 year
Tbf it is a cute little turd, but you could get a better city car. I sold mine 3 years ago and bought honda city instead.
>>15453564
>from the reviews it seems like a decent car as well
The chinese companies believe in fake reviews and fake sales stats. It's a chronic problem in mainland china as companies try to build up confidence in their products with western buyers and investors.
>>15453564
Roewe is the best I think, they're using older Rover tech and they make some large buick under license
They also currently own MG and they shit on the company's heritage, no sports cars no anything just this Rover 75 bodykit (same chassis,re-done k-series engines, same seat frames, same a lot of fucking things) that's pretty fucking good for a chinese car though, the handling is pretty good
So I have these floormats in my car that I got from a supplier in China. They custom make pleather floormats with contrast diamond stitching for cars. These are made to fit from factory and cover the entire floor as well as a little bit of the wall of the floor (see picture).
In my car it also includes a plastic material carpet for texture and ease of clean ( it can be removed and hosed down and after it is dry, it can be reinstalled). Below the plastic carpet is more diamond stitched pleather. If one chooses to omit the plastic carpet, the pleather can be cleaned with a wipe with a damp towel.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen anything else like this? If so I would like to know where. If not, how much would you pay for such a product?
As a summary, it covers the entire floor, if the vehicle has rear seats, it covers that flooring too in one big piece made to fit. The pleather and stitching can be any color combination as well. Thanks
Never seen anything like this, would pay in the 50-80 euros range as long as there's a choice of rather simple colors. Like black with white/light gray stiches
>>15432204
Those color combinations are available. Thank you for the help, I am just trying to see how marketable this product is. I might only be able to sell to high end car owners, I talked to a ford sales rep and he said it probably wont sell well at ford and to maybe try BMW or Mercedes.
>>15431986
>They custom make pleather floormats with contrast diamond stitching for cars.
The problem is that pleather looks terrible once the surface is scuffed through and exposes the puffy plastic underneath. So these things are not suitable for daily or regular use. It is only for when you have guests or are just in a mood to feel like you've customized the car.

kek when I was young (probably 12 or 13) me and a few buddies went around and stole 100s of valve stem caps because we were retarded. I have still have a life time supply of valve stem caps somewhere, and some bad ass skull caps that are painted gold
When I was a wee little faggot. I knew this one kid who had a cobra model car. I wanted it so i took it from him and hid it. I got so paranoid I thought someone was gonna find it. So I went to the side of my old house and smashed it with a boulder and buried it.

They're still nice, but not as nice as an R32 or R34.
how stupid am i for wanting to put an rb26dett into an r34 gtt
So people are touting Ecoboost L4s, turbo v6s, and N/A veeaites as God tier production engines.
Why not just put forced induction on a v8 from the factory instead of putting it on smaller engines? Why has no mass produced car done this?
>>15471090
Other MFG's do it with V12's as well.
But the idea is not just more power, it's less fuel use. A 1.8L engine is going to use less fuel than a 3.5L engine.
Well, in theory anyway.
>>15471090
Because smog and mpgs. Where are the supercharged/turbo (gas) v8 cars and trucks deserve.
>>15471102
Don't turbos increase an engines efficiency if it's not tuned for maximum performance like Ecoboost engines?
Is there such thing as ethanol-free regular gas?
Probably not anymore.
No mas since the gubberment went on a mass-genocide for older cars.
>>15467411
No. But you can buck up for racing gas.
