Why do the old Japanese vehicles (like the old Skyline) resemble so closely old American muscle cars (like the ~1972 Mustang)? And then this changed at some point, Japanese cars began to look more and more "sporty" or "tuner" while Americans stuck more to the blocky "muscle" design.
Any thoughts on this?
>at some point
Also known as 2006 when American companies decided to capitalize on the retro revival trend that was driven by the nostalgia of moneyed boomers and hispter youth. Before this, they all followed the same global trends. 90s mustangs and bromaro's look pretty "tuner"-like.
>>15458983
the Japanese were copying american and european designs obviously
thats not really true
I was thinking of getting this as my first car are they fun?

AC series when
IndyCar server is now up with Eagle Creek Oval loaded and ready to go.
I'm adding FCY's for this week. No Lucky Dogs but there will be wave-arounds. Also restarts should be single file but feel free to test it out and see.
This is an exploratory thing, there hasn't been any final decision on whether the next two ovals will have FCYs.
Also planning to add a 4th oval, we'll see.
How manual are you, /o/?
>manual transmission
>manual windows
>manual sunroof
>manual locks
>manual steering
>no ABS
>no traction control
Mirrors are electric though
>>15452847
I have electric everything, an automatic, 4 channel multi-mode ABS, power steering, and traction/stability control.
The only thing that is even worth being manual is the transmission
Everything else is something that you can't live without.
>tfw car came with p/s, power windows ,a/c,abs, sunroof

>I am able to run US/Canadian VINs (anything with a fitting VIN; bikes, cars and so on) and US plates. For plates the same rules apply as VINs; 1981 or newer, US registered, and the plate and state are needed. Plates do work most of the time, but VINs are more reliable.
>Please remove hyphens (dashes) from VINs/plates - unless they happen to be part of a vanity plate. This makes copying and pasting easier.
>I can only run vehicles in/originally in the USA/Canada. If they've been exported from the USA/Canada, a report with their time here will be available. Not yet sure about imported cars.
>Vehicles need to be of the 1981 model year or newer. That's when standardized VINs began. Anything older simply cannot be run for a report.
>There are never I(i), O(o), nor Q(q) in VINs. This is to avoid confusion with 1 and 0. So if you are unsure, it is always 1 or 0 (not the case for classic cars, but they cannot be run anyway).
>VINs must be 17 characters exactly. No more, no less.

Dash cams are so cheap they're practically a no brainer despite the small likelihood of needing the footage in a dispute. Any recommended models or setups?
I'm eventually going to get the street guardian (pic related) it looks exactly like a rexing or a A118C but has a sony CMOS sensor which provides the best night footage out there. I'm going to hardwire it with this

I love this tire cleaner but I am sick of paying 7 bucks to clean my tires once or twice.
Anyone know what the base solvent of this stuff is so I can concoct my own?
Read the back, petroleum distillates it says.
Good luck with your fractional distillation of crude petroleum.
>>15418514
It can be made with refined white sugar, a person i know makes it with sugar and a chemical that you can buy at the store no problem.
But be careful, my brother crashed my truck and nobody noticed, not even the insurance company or the police, but im 99% sure he didnt brake on time because the thing made the tyre a lot more slippery (It was a brand product, not home made).
>>15418529
Knowing which distillate would make things much easier.
