Are there any modern head units that mimic the look of old 80s style car stereos? I can't find one that looks very good.
>>15614337
Finding one that doesn't look like 2003 ricer trash or a """"luxury"""" touchpad shit is a nightmare. Makes it hard to find a decent radio fitting an 80's or 90s car replacing the original one.
the admins of /o/ should really start enforcing this like /ovg/, /dat/ and /dbt/ so the board can be a much better place to post in

Backstory: I was pulling into a parking spot, and the passenger of the vehicle next to me opened his door, I had no time to react, so my mirror caught his door.
I called their insurance, and they found me at 75% fault, and them at 25% fault.
I called my insurance, and they found them at 100% fault.
I can get my car fixed, but I just have to pay my deductible, whereas the other company would just pitch in 25% of the fee.
Inb4 the other party lied to the insurance, because they did.
Thoughts? How can they have completely different fault determination?
The others guys insurance found you at fault.
Your insurance didn't.
Now let that take a minute to process. You will have your answer then
>>15614057
no shit, but I was under the impression that if they are found at fault, my insurance would go after theirs for damages, hence both insurance companies should technically have the same fault determination.
>>15614072
They are supposed to come to an agreement
Will the GT86 and BRZ be, in 15 years, what the Nissan 240SX is today?
>85% drift missiles and unfinished projects
>10% respectable but heavily modified sports cars nobody else would feel comfortable buying
>5% stock and in good shape
>>15613810
Yes. and if the s-fr is actually made that will be the real ae86 follow up
>>15613810
You could say this about the majority of used sports cars over 15 years old.
>>15613814
TFW NO SFR AND IT WILL N E V E R HAPPEN
So I just bought a 2005 Outback for $400. 128K miles and in good shape, but needs a rear hatch and head gaskets. How bad are the head gaskets on these things? I've heard from they're OK to beyond brutal.
>>15613745
>I'm a poorfag that couldn't buy a clean example that already had its head gaskets done. So now I'm going to try to do them myself and spend way too much time doing it myself and do it badly so it'll need to be done again sooner than if a professional had done it
>mfw ive never seen a car being sold for less than 1k.
>>15613745
Brutal. They are a pain in the Ass. You must pull the whole motor. Look for my Subaru general thread.
Can I be Takumi in a FWD?

Simply said: No.
get a RWD
Fiesta ST's love to oversteer due to brake vectoring. Give that a try.
Alright /o/ whats your guilty pleasure? The one car that you like but everyone else hates.
For me, its a z31 300zx
>>3.0 v6 turbo
>>retro 80's styling
>> stupid cheap and kind of rare
Only problem is that you're never going to find parts for it and working on it is a pain in the ass
>>15613558
Why is working on it such a pain? I was considering one for a drift car build seeing as they're fairly cheap and not too uncommon in my area
>tfw my 86' 300zx was stolen
It's been a little over two years and I still havent owned another car since.. tho mostly due to finances, but Im still not over her..
>>15613992
My biggest pain with working on it was mostly due to how tightly packed in the engine bay is. Id have to remove multiple things to get to what I needed to. It's not really difficult however, just tedious.
I also had a bitch of a time getting lugnuts off the rim. Im still not sure what was up with that.. I always manually tightened them, but usually had to use an air gun to get them off.
why Chevy/gm a not good company, many friends I know only like Ford with the mustang. Why do so many people in Japan/China like Ford and not Chevy/GM? i do not understand.
>>15613552
May have something to do with GM breaking the laws of physics by recalling more cars than they sold.
Do you want an actual thread, or a shitfest where we spam Corvette/Camaro memes?
I'm a Ford guy and prefer their line-up, but GM has improved quite a bit since the bailout.
>>15613585
I drive a 2014 chevy for work and they are garbage. I dont think I would buy anything past 2003 from GM.
Anyone else getting bored with their vehicles? I have an LS2 GTO and a Wrangler JK and have been bored with them lately. The wrangler is my DD, it's whatever. But the GTO just doesn't seem fast anymore. I thought it was so much fun when I got it, but now it's kinda faded and is getting a little boring. Anyone else feeling this way?
>>15613407
no because i concentrated on making sure my car is fun not fast
>>15613412
This. Fast does not equal fun. The RWD V8 meme is just that. A meme. try driving a Taurus SHO or a Lumina Z34 sometime. Sleepers are maximum fun, if only because they're total fucking trolls.
>>15613432
>tfw I had more fun in a first generation turbo mx-6 than my miata and v8 stang
Is the R8 a supercar?
I'd call it a super gt than a supercar
It has lots of creature comfort and lots of people use them as dailys with no complaints
Canadian here, looking to upgrade from my 2006 Civic Si, what should i get? It has to be a DD and winterable.

ITR (DC2, casul)
>>15613367
Well are you looking for a similar car in a similar price range? Something totally different?
When you say upgrade, do you mean faster? More luxury?
>be one lane each way country road
>60mph limit, following someone doing 10 over
>see end of road coming up, T junction in about 750 yards
>immidiately drop two gears and roar past
>come to a stop at junction moments later
>wait for break in traffic for like a minute
Who here finds doing unnecessary overtakes to be the best part of driving?
>>15613350
>on fast but twisty mountain road
>come up to a guy doing 80
>it's a 60 limit
>scream past at 110
