I fucked up /o/, please help.
>driving at 40mph
>in the process of shifting from 4th to 3rd
>suv pulls out in front of me from a side street
>freak out, jerk wheel to the left, and accidentally shift into 1st
>foot falls off clutch and engine screams to 7K+

>clutch in and come to a screeching halt
>check engine light

This all happened in a 2008 Ford Focus. The car still runs but makes soft clicking noises at idle. At 2K the clicks are louder and faster coming from the engine. The engine also stalled while clutched in when turning into advanced auto parts to read the code and once more when stopping at a red light, also clutched in. How bad is it? Lifter tick? Rod knock? Bent valves? Spun bearing? I have someone coming to look at it next week and I don't want to drive it until then.

After the 5th meet, most of the discussions were happening on GroupMe, so naturally posts over here slowed down. Many assumed that /hou/ was lost forever but no, we've been doing mini meets and banting off 4chan pretty much all the time. A lot has happened since the last main meet, thread activity died out since discussion is now on chat so there was no point making threads unless there was something of importance to say.

Meet 5 was a success, there was a lot of talk of it not happening or of /hou/ breaking apart but really none of that ever happened. So for meet 6, it will be a repeat of Meet 3 happening next week Friday (23rd).

Reminder: Largest Galveston cruise happening on October 16th, it will be a great event to join up just to see up to a thousand car enthusiasts on the road going together.

Should I buy a 2015/16 Charger for my first car? I'm 25 and have been driving for 5 years but only motorcycle. I still plan to use my motorcycle but I want something for going around town without having to gear up while using my motorcycle for long distance vacations and commuting.

FYI I know nothing about cars and have never driven one. I just like how it looks and would prefer a coupe.
