Kinda like that old-soviet era feel to them.
>>15889779
Well, they cost like $300. But yeah, they're not even reliable like Twingos.
What do you guys think of the new Audi Q7? I'm comparing it to the new Lexus RX at the moment. 32 year old guy with 2 kids, so I need the space.
are they your wifes kids
>yes

I like the design.
What's /o/'s take on waze.
What other alternatives are there.
>>15889709
Jews gonna shut em down, unless this is the big corporate Jew copycat app of Uber. Jews always ruin everything. Soon it's gonna be licenses and special insurances and next thing you know you're just a cab driver dispatched by your cell phone. They just can't let people make money without forcing it into being barely profitable
>>15889748
Do you even no what fucking waze is.
Waze is a GPS that you can report police, hazards, road closers ect in real time.
>>15889709
Its god sent.
I was driving from another state today, Waze told me it was rerouting, Next thing i know it takes me off highway and i look up and the whole highway is shut down for the next few exits. Me I just went around as if it was nothing.
Thanks waze
>>15889748
Waze isn't ride sharing you retarded fucking meatball.
what are the best cars for blasting vaporwave and when you want to ultimately fag out the most massive way to achieve level 80 vaporwave faglord status?
Epitome
Can we talk about the meme that is the WRX? I fell for this meme several years ago. Here's a quick recap of my negative experience.
>break it in according to instructions
>do every recommended service, including changing the oil at every 3000 miles every time
>spins a main bearing at 29k miles and the engine destroys itself
>SOA and the dealer play this good cop bad cop charade with me where the dealer wants to warranty it but SOA refuses. They try to charge me $ 1,000 for the repairs as a courtesy.
>after some back and forth they agree to do the whole job as a 'goodwill' repair but refuse to call it warranty
>They never replace the turbo or even inspect it for damage to its bearings
What a joke of a car. I never abused, drove it toi hard, it or modded it ever. After looking into it, this same situation happens all the time.
Does /o/ have any experience with the WRX? Share them!

Women can feel free to strip in a 2015 Impreza because the guy driving it is obviously gay.
It's Subaru, unfortunately. I just built a '12 STi. Did everything the "correct" way after doing research. Spent too much money, that at this point I don't feel to great about. I just got tuned after some minor complications on the dyno, and now two days later, the cars randomly acting up and dropping a bit of oil pressure.
Fuck these cars, as much as I love them.
The boot on (what appears to be) the outer tie rod is torn. While it may not currently have play, this will allow water/dirt to reach the joint.
Expect future replacement.
>>15889631
looks like your tie rod is fucked
>>15889639
This. You can slow the process by loading up the torn boot with fresh grease, and if you're in a real pinch, I've heard of people having luck wrapping saran-wrap around the grease-reloaded joint. However yes longer term, just budget to have it replaced. I recommend OE-spec Lemfoerder as the replacement brand. No need to gamble on shitty generics when it's a critical component like this.
Why are the vast majority of automatic shifters made in the likeness of a manual shifter?
Why not just make a knob or some buttons or something.
>>15889614
Because its easier to make the body in one style instead of two catering to manual and auto.
So they have to fill that hold in the drive tunnel with something.
Also levers are more visceral meaning you can feel where the shift is going or doing, where as buttons and nobs are less so.
>>15889614
Column shifts are best.
Automatic trucks (big trucks, not pickups) normally have a push button selector. Certain straight trucks use a column shift.
I hate this shit. I was looking into a 530i but if you want to swap it to manaual you have to cut a big hole in the trim for it. Much nicer if you can just get a boot and have the stick poking out where the auto shifter used to. Bonus points for having PNRD lights on shifter as opposed to the dash where they look shit after a swap.
I want to change from my current 205/40/R17s to 205/50/R17s, do you guys think theres any real issue with it?
I swapped from whatever my stock size was up a bit already an i havent gotten the car computer adjusted to suit.
My question is, if i go to the 50 should i buy an obd programmer or get it done at a garage? Any experience with this?
Pic related, its my bitch
>>15889613
Won't make much of a difference
>>15889613
Why do you need an obd scanner to change tires? WTF are you even on about?
>>15889613
>I need to reflash my ecu to suit the new tire size
You seriously can't be this retarded. The OBD scanner only checks for engine errors
I got a 1990 lifted ford ranger with 33" mud tires. It did horrible last winter. I kept getting stuck, sliding, and eventually stuck with driving my gf's gallant. One of my buddies told me that the truck is too light and the mudding tires pretty much become slicks during the winter. Anything I can do yo make the truck drive better during the winter ? Looks like pic related except the custom tires and grill.
>>15889540
Winter tires......
Wide tires tend to float on top of snow rather than dig in and grip the pavement. So put some normal profile snow tires or all seasons on.
Oversized tires also kill your gas mileage and make the vehicle handle poorly so just leave those regular tires on all year.
Been trying to post this for an hour now, fuck off 4chan
RWD only?
What tires are these exactly?
Now, your average Mud-Terrain tires will suck at absolutely anything winter-related except deep snow, although they might even suck at that depending on how well they clean themselves
RWD trucks with nothing in the bed are utter shite in the winter, even with premium winter tires, and the bigger the tires get the shittier they'll handle on ice and in light snow, as you're sharing the little weight you already have on a big surface.
Here are some things you can do to have it handle better
Tires
>get proper winter tires, preferrably thinner ones
>sipe & stud your tires (studding will make them useless and terrible outside of winter, siping will make them feel a bit soft and also wear out a tad quicker)
Weight
>put some hundred pounds of something heavy in the bed
I need help /o/. Im stuck between leasing a BMW m240i and a camaro SS. Please help me decide and fuck off with the (LEASING OMG WHAT A FUCKING IDIOT!!!)
Now which should I get and why?
Want a track queen? Get the SS
Want something other people actually resepect? Get the BMW
>>15889558
I concur with This anon OP
>>15889520
Disagreed. The Camaro SS, although pigfat and not as nimble as the m240i, poses greater options for future fun than the BMW.
Unless you're a busy adult with no time/budget to work on your car and/or have work done to the car, the SS is the right choice. The community and mod possibilities are endless. It's got a roaring 6.2L that only sounds better the more you de-restrict the exhaust.
But don't take my word for it; test drive them both if you're serious.
How do you learn without fucking up the bike?
I want to step it up and get a bike, i drive a manual like a god and have owned some fast cars b4, but i think its time for a bike
get a used dirt bike
>>15889450
Go take a riding course at a local tech school. One night and 2 full days and you'll be safer, learn how to ride, and get your license.
>>15889473
This is actually what my plan was, there are bike learning courses everywhere
figured i might as well spend 300 to learn in a few days at least the basics and how to ride
Why wont any car company build a manual transmission but with a torque converter instead of a clutch?
this would effectively rid the annoying and hard to learn clutch while leaving the fun shift stick
Also up and down paddle shifters are nothing like a shift stick knob
>>15889437
They have. Look up Chrysler fluid drive.
You still need a clutch to shift gears. It was kind of shit
what's the point? we're all gonna die anyway. might as well get a cvt with paddle shifters, triptronic, or a GTR
>>15889437
>hard to learn clutch
