wrong
The Beretta
>completely forgotten
>looks great
>from the 90s
Seriously, what the fuck happened? The development was longer than the Lexus LFAs for fucks sake.

>carbon fiber everywhere
>more lines of code than Windows 10
>slower than a Mustang with an NA V8 and a manual
Simple is better

That's not an nsx has nothing in common with the old one besides being MR Honda just decided to take a big fat load all over the name
>>15885154
>>15885172
This just sounds like they are future proofing the platform. unlike the LFA the NSX isn't as expensive to manufacture and it will definitely be around for quite some time. that should give Honda some time to fine-tune everything making it faster. If the car really is like Windows technology-wise they should be updating it all the time until its fast as fuck. this NSX is probably much faster in its time than the last NSX was in its own time in the 90s.
Why isn't this car getting much attention from /o/ or even the car scene in general? I mean when the r35 or the 86 hit the floor the hype was insane however th response to this seems lukewarm at best,,, I mean it's the NSX for fucks sake am i missing something
>>15885140
It wasn't tuned by Senna
It's overpriced and pretty boring desu.. they basically made a slower 918/mp4.
The original nsx was unbelievable at the time because it delivered a faster car then most at the time and it was at an achievable price.
The new nsx isn't delivering anything we havnt already seen and they're charging alot for them.
>>15885140
People are bitching because it isn't exactly like the original. They need to take their rose-tinted glasses off and actually drive the NSX, both of them
Also the GTR and laptimes ruined supercars
>>15885164
>Made a slower 918
>a baby 918 at the tenth of the price
I see no problem with this

What is best all around starter toolset to keep in my truck? Budget is $150-200.
Thanks!
check your local lowe's, they're clearing out the 250pc Kobalt set which includes 1/4, 3/8, 1/2" ratchets + sockets. normally $200, going for $50-70 if you can still find them

Wait for the Craftsman sales to pop up and grab one of their $350 kits for $150.
Otherwise Huskey, Stanley, any of the popular shit with a good warranty that isn't dirt cheap will work.
Somebody will mention Harbor Frieght, but some of their stuff works fine while others is garbage. Their kits normally come with extra shitty ratchets so I wouldn't even waste the time. Plus if you catch a good sale at Sears, the Craftsman kits will be about the same price as HF shit.
>you bought a car that has insufficient performance stock
>you now have to enjoy the jewing, misinformation, and uncertainty of modding culture
Why didn't I just wait until I could afford something with 400HP or more?
because i got a miata and it's one of the most well documented turbo-friendly engines in existence
>>15885025
because you'd be waiting until your 40s for anything in the over 400hp range that's a worthwhile purchase
a challenger hellcat or mustang gt is a cheap and empty experience
>>15885156
yeah, rotary engines are really amazing.
they have the ability to take in all this power without outputting much back

are buffer pads suppose to be cleaned after each and every use?
i detailed my car (compund, polish, wax) after 4 hours it still looked the same (swirl marks, paint looks dry). i saw videos from AMMO NYC and CHEMICAL GUYS on how to do it right but my car still looked the same. i taught maybe because the buffer pads where never cleaned. i used them once and stored them in a zip lock bag and used them again when i detailed it last week. i already threw them out. i used sepreate pads for each step.
whats /o/ opinion on this product?
https://www.chemicalguys.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=COM_129_16&CartID=2
i found out about this after i did the detail on my car. maybe this will get rid of the swirl marks and restore the shine and luster to my paint. i OBSESSED with keeping my car fresh
bump
WTF does /o/ even detail their own car?

i am getting a commuter car and am thinking of a 2013 dodge dart ralleye automatic with 35,000 miles for 11,900. should i take it
>>15884504
fuck no. they weren't really worth 14k new, nonetheless out of warranty.
it'll tank in value within 2 years if it hasn't already, likely leaving you with a shitty FCA product where it's completely falling apart and upside down on your loan.
>>15884504
Fuck no.
They got discontinued. Bet yo can get get 2016 for that price at the dodge dealership.
I'm trying, /o/, I really am. I WANT to like electric cars. I really do. They're a cool concept, they cut down on maintenance, no gas bill, but I can't bring myself to it.
I've been a fan of racing since I was a child, no matter the type of car. Yet electric cars are just so different. No sound, no engine, no smell of gasoline, it just doesn't excite me as much. One day, I won't have a choice. From what I've been hearing, EVs are going to replace gas cars in my lifetime (I'm 20). But EVs don't feel like cars. I enjoy working on cars, buying new parts, hearing about other people's setups. Yet with electric cars there is really nothing to work on it seems. They don't "feel" like cars to me. They feel more like accessories, like a laptop or a computer.
Help me like electric cars /o/. I'd rather be in a position where I can like them just as much as I like gas cars than be living in the future when I'm in my 50s or 60s where gas cars are a thing of the past and I'm wishing to travel back in time to the "glory days".
I must sound pretty autistic right now, but cars are something I've been introduced to at a very young age, so it means a lot to me.
OP here
SIDE NOTE:
As a fan of Top Gear (when Jeremy Clarkson was still on it) this video is what initially sparked my interest in EVs. The last line of the video is what got me thinking about the subject I just brought up, though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gFGX43vubM
EVs will never replace Gas, at least here in America.
EVs fucking suck. You can't work on them, they break you send them back.
It's like a TV, not a fucking car.
>>15884425
>they cut down on maintenance
They eliminate oil changes but that's about it.
/tg/fag again, making a homebrew about robbing & crime in the 70s. How's the vehicle list I have so far? Anything I should add/replace? Games can take place anywhere in the world, so country restrictions don't matter.

best bang for buck in the 15-20k price range, would you rather go with an s2000 ap2 or c5 z06 for a track day/daily driver car?
I'd do C5Z, but I like Corvettes. S2000 is good too, just not my style.
If you get the s2000 get the fastback hardtop. Softop looks llaammmmeee

How would you go about cornering on a dirt road in a rwd pickup while at his speeds?
>without pic related happening
You don't. You drive it through fields as the crow flies. If you want to "drift" do it in town it'll be super easy for you at low speeds.
>>15883850
I wouldn't
>dirt road
>one side of road is a solid wall of rock
>other side of road is a cliff and trees
>road is barely wide enough for 2 cars to pass
I enjoy living ATM
Not even going to discuss drifting in a pickup

Me too, Anon but just foothills.
Who here owns a high learning curve car?
I have over 12 thousand miles on my pony car and the clutch is the most difficult part to master. It's my first manual car but the clutch engagement is so short and needs such precise and consistent foot movement. Let go of it a millisecond too fast and oops the car jolts. Let go off it a millisecond too slow and oops you've worn the clutch plate down from slipping too much.
Also you need to memorize a chart of speed versus rpm at any given gear for that smooth rev matching.
Still better than an auto because it's better to learn than stagnate.
