Is it worth $8,000 us? Assuming there isn't already a serious issue. I haven't really looked hard at it, belongs to my friends father he bought it for his son who drove it for a week until sons mom convinced dad a v12 296 hp car isn't an ideal first car for a 17y/o. Will it be the bane of my existence? I'm pretty handy with a wrench, have the money, and love having a car nobody or very few people around have. Want to know if it's worth the money, and what problems I could look forward to. He called it an 850i something custom. I couldn't find anything online about any submodels though so Idk what that is. Was purchased from the original owner who claims the door handles were shaved when he bought it new, interior just as immaculate as the exterior. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So, I'm playing this game since several days and I wondered if the physics of the cars could be considered somewhat "realistic".

I got tons of understeer with many cars, even at speeds < 60 mph and some cars without traction control are almost undrivable (like the one in picture related) because of the massive oversteer even if I dose the accelerator, so I can go fast.

Tell me more.

Way too much understeer. Also, I don't like how the oversteer works. It's not that the simulation itself is broken, but there's something wierd with the steering wheel response. Maybe with a wheel it feels different, idk (playing with a pad for now).

So I have a Mercedes C250 coupe that got into a collision (wasn't my fault, drunk motherfucker ran a red) and I don't exactly have the money to send it to get repaired but my father took a look at it for me and he's under the impression that I could possibly fix it myself

He says the chassis is fine, that it's drivable, and that the only thing that looks like it needs replacing is the radiator but that almost everything aside from external aesthetic damage and the wheel looks alright

He's been badgering me to repair it myself and this is obviously a daunting task for someone that has no auto repair experience and I wanted to know exactly how the fuck would I even begin with this or if this is even a feasible solution

He offered to pay for any parts I need repaired

I'm not home at the moment but I will post pictures very soon

Addendum my dad is a physician and isn't certified with cars at all but I mean he has experience
>>
No insurance? Sue that fuck.

Body parts are easy to replace, you can just order them on ebay or whatevs. Radiators are pretty easy too, just a few bolts and hoses.

The real worry is if the collision compressed any part of the body, this makes it much harder to replace parts. Not really something you can fix with no expereience.

Also your not gonna be able to paint it, but the more work you can do yourself the less the body shop will charge you.

I would start with some jewtube videos.

You need 3 cars to escape the cops from a bank heist

which do you choose?

I've been thinking about this one and I think I'd just go on Craigslist and find a cheap used car I liked then take it for a test drive, rob the bank then just drop it back off and tell the seller I needed to think about it overnight. Maybe even do it double telling the first guy I wanted to take it on the highway to see if it overheated then have my mechanic in the next town check it out.

I'd build 3 custom sleepers that look very inoffensive. If I'd had to buy new probably 3 E-class AMGs, lots of boot space for all your loot and great handling and top speed.

I know this isn't the usual type of vehicle on /o/, but I need to move a near 90 year old car about 500 miles.
I've got a truck, and a cousin with a car trailer, but it's open top. Figure a giant tarp will be good enough?
Is there a better way for me to be doing this?
I've got a month to figure it out.

>>
>>15917195
If the paint is nice and you don't want anything at all to happen make sure you pad and spot where the tarp touches the paint. The tarp will probably flap in the wind regardless of how will you your it down.
>>
>>15917303
Just wrap the whole car with plastic wrap. Steal a big roll of it from somewhere.
>>
>>15917195
Moving blankets are cheap insurance for rub, but my GOD I'd look into borrowing/renting an enclosed. The local trailer shop rents enclosed, post on Craigs our just buy one and sell it again before tagging

Yasuni exhaust, derestrict, retune. That'll get you to 80km/h.

Any further than that you'll be looking at replacing the cylinder for something like a mhr replica. If you aren't stuck to 50cc get an 80 in there. Can all be done for relatively cheap.

Christ it's like i'm 16 again.

is the Mazda MX6 a bad car?
I'm currently saving to move to the US from Australia and these things are really cheap where I live, I drive a very boring sedan and instead of buying a newer more expensive car, I just want to sort of side step to something more fun until I'm locked in to move

1500 for a 2 seat coupe with a roadworthy sounds insane to me even though its front wheel drive

for the non Australians a Roadworthy (in NSW particularly) is a certificate that your car has been inspected every second year by our DMV, and they are pretty thorough, so if it has a roadworthy it at the least runs enough to pass inspection

for reference, I drive a Toyota Avalon which I think I can get about 3500 for being with relatively low km's

it's practical, and ive thrashed it for the 50,000km's of first car it's been with literally no parts braking

eeh, i guess that's ok for a very first timer but it's important to quickly get used to holding it at the bite point on take off, rather than treating the entire clutch travel equally
>>
Even though I know how to drive standard, I still enjoy watching tutorials or "How To" videos. Sometimes I pick up something I had never thought of before and other times I remember some basic skill I had gotten lazy with.

What does /o/ think of this particular car?

i want to slap a supercharger onto my stock engine. My stock compression ratio is 9:1. How much boost can i be running with pump gas?
I'll retard ignition timing and an intercooler.
I would optimally want to run about 5-6psi of boost. Is this possible on 91 octane pump fuel without dropping compression?

>>
>>15916518
What engine? What heads? What car? What further cooling mods? What kind of supercharegr (roots, twinscrew, TVS, centrifugal)? 91 octane, sure, but RON, MON or AKI? What do you have to tune it, and back off the ignition timing?
>>
>>15916527

engine is a 3 litre 6g72 24valve making 177hp
eaton m62 roots supercharger to make about 5-6psi of boost
greddy intercooler kit from a wrx will most likely be used, however i'm open for other options
91 octane premium fuel is 95ron
ignition will be retarded with a reflash
