electric car with gears, that's where. Why does it need them? It always provides the same torque. you're limiting yourself by trying to make your commuter shitbox anything but the most efficient it can be.
>>15908595
>not keeping the electric motor in its sweet spot
>instead winding the motor out to high rpms for no reason
>where did it go wrong?
>$37,495 MSRP for base model
That's a "normal car" that's faster and has 3x the range and 4 years worth of gas.

And to think, I used to be AGAINST North Korea having the bomb.
That's a fairly simple process that also locks the battery in place. Clever desu.
Wow 4 whole bolts instead of two! Good thing they didn't do a battery on a Ferrari 430, one of those Chryslers that has the battery in the wheelwell behind the fender, or a single motor Model S or the video would be 3 months long
>less than 2 minutes total
what's the complaint exactly?
Should I buy a 2004 Mustang Mach 1?

Fuck yes

Do you like your gauges steering wheel pointing out the window?
Do you like the shifter in the dash?
If so, yes
Posted this in the VW thread but I need high visibility.
I know I'll get shit on for buying a VW, but I need help, I'm not sure whether to buy a 2015 GTI for $30,000 CAD with 20,000km (12,427 miles) or a 2013 Golf R with 50,000km (31068 miles) for the same price. The Golf R is from a Chrysler dealership 3 hours away, so it's not certified by VW itself and I'm not sure if they'll bring it over to one and check it out.
I've test driven both and I find the Golf R is a superior drive it actually feels like a whole new car, but I'm still undecided. I'm not sure whether to get the GTI because it's newer has better warranty and has less mileage on it, but one thing I don't like with the GTI, the pedals and the clutch and shifting feel a bit stiff, I've never driven a new car so I suppose it needs to be worn in, whereas the Golf R I test drove had 100,000km (62137miles) was worn in, the pedals clutch and shifting felt nice and smooth.
I think I'll be happy with either, but I can't make up my mind. I know if I buy either, I'll wish I got the other. Sorry if this was hard to read, I had a hard day and my mind is burnt out. Thanks.
shut up and buy a civic for 3k

It's Canada so that same civic would be 4-5k.

2015 gti.
Get a simple tune.
You'll be a happy commuter.
Don't listen to all the broke asses.

Its honestly the best i can get around here without having to rebuild the whole thing.
Why do we still use OHC, Solanoids have been around for years. This is not new technology.
Because the technology hasn't been refined for constant high acceleration in an ice.
Someone explain these
There's no way an electromagnetic solenoid is quick enough for an ICE.
Is something else at play here?
MUH PUSHRODS INTENSIFIES
Steering question.
When my steering wheel is straight I go straight, but lately something odd has been happening. If go at a set speed or accelerate slowly the car is fine and same for braking.
But when I push the clutch to shift or when I accelerate hard the car pulls to one side. Instead of TDC of my wheel being 12 o'clock it goes to about 2 when I accelerate hard.
And when I push in my clutch to shift the wheel TDC moves to around 10-11 area.
It's pretty sketchy and I'm not certain what could have caused it to do this.
Any help? It's a odd question so I haven't found anything searching yet.
Car is FWD.
Maybe my sway bar links?

2000 Focus.
ITT we post sleeper turbocharged cars. I just rebuilt my K03.
>turbo means fast
It's not the 80s anymore.
>>15907668
you can make them fast. With my tune, exhaust, colder plugs, downpipe, intercooler, and s4 transmission swap my car is significantly faster than stock.
>>15907660
>148 hp
>"sleeper"

>take car on trip to a town 40 miles away.
>Drive back home
>Pull it to driveway

>HOLY FUCK!
>shut off car
>pop open hood
>smoke everywhere
>coolant spraying around
>check oil
>NO OIL
>pic related
How the fuck did this happen!?!
I changed oil a month ago.
Anyway. Im a poorfag. How long can i drive with a well oiled(if possible) piston knock before i indefinitely have to shelf it? I drive this car once a week, maybe twice. Im on the highway for about 3 minutes and then its just town driving for about 10 minutes.
Sounds like a leak OP. Check your shit inside and out. clean it out and determine the source of the leak and fix it.
>>15907670
Ok. But about the knock?
>>15907682
What do you think happens when you have no oil
>journalist/youtuber drives FWD car with more than 200HP
>WAAAAAAAH THIS TORQUE STEER IS UNBEARABLE!
I've driven an SRT4, MS3, and Slowbalt SS all with over 350hp and never found it to be an issue, or even a minor inconvenience. I have skinny arms and don't lift. What are they even complaining out?
Same. Torque steer doesn't become noticeable until 500hp imo.
>>15907628
Have you driven a sorted RWD car with that power?
>>15907654
What's your point?
I have. I still don't think torque steer is an issue.

What is the cheapest highest octane fuel that is easily found everywhere in the US?
The only ones I know that are kinda common
>Shell V-Power Nitro+ 99
>E85 100-105
Is there one that is cheaper/more common??
91
>tfw BP 102 ultimate was discontinued
>>15907533
But what if you need more octane for higher compression?
Every sports car and sporty econobox has a stereotype attached to it. Why not the ST?
>>15907411
Because it's a Ford Fuckus. Nobody cares enough about it.
>>15907411

Because they're a new thing in the US.
The ST in the UK is a chav car for chavs or something/
Ok /o/, Being a gear head and an American I've come to an impasse. I know American cars are typically awful. I'm trying to figure out the Best American car ever made. Which do you think it is?
