So, I'm debating whether i should focus on
1: Interior mods
2: exterior mods
3: Performance mods

pic related, car ran a 13.2 @105mph stock, currently have a cold air intake and a nismo exhaust with axlebacks.
Just stored the car, so i'm debating what i should do until next spring.

RJM clutch pedal (stock pedal is shit) or the nismo body kit (probably start with front bumper first)
Or instead of any of that, i could buy test pipes and cams and install them over the winter.

Any suggestions?

Do suspension first
>thicker axles
>coil-overs
>sway bars

CAI's are fucking useless, get better plugs, injectors and a tune. If it's manual get a stage 2 clutch and short throw shifter. If you actually race it get better tires and lighter wheels.

What's your budget? If you have 3-5k get a big ass turbo.
>>
>>16092396
CAI's are proven 15whp on the this platform, but agree with coil-overs and sway bars.

I do race it, had a couple track days this summer and it was a blast. The car was almost perfect minus the understeer in tight corners.

What are /o/ thoughts about the Colt/Summit/Mirage, specially from 89 to 91.

There is one laying around in a pretty fair shape, it have manual everything and the only comfort is standard a/c, It's the base model 1.5l(12valves I think) and 4sp manual.

I'm tempted to getting and striping the shit out of it, put some bucket seats, a rollcage, racing steering wheel and harness and start tuning it to a better track day toy.

They are pretty uncommon around here, and I've seen some awd builds and 4g63 swaps. I can't find any info on their rear suspension configuration tho.

They're pretty fun, the 2.0 just makes meh horsepower and it ends up being pretty damn slow.

rs25 dot com is the bible for these cars.

Get the manual one, it has true 50-50 power to the front and rear. Auto is slightly more fwd based, and waaay more boring than the manual one.

Try to get the 2.2L its the most bulletproof one of the bunch.

Also look out for rust in the bottom of the dogleg, where the rocker meets the quarter panel, shit gets packed in there and in the rubber vanity lip on the edge of the rear wells and it causes premature rust.

Hey /o/, first time posting here.

I wanted to know what you guys thought of a 2005 chevy blazer 4WD?

I just moved from California to Calgary, AB and I wanted to get a big SUV with 4WD to help deal with the winter.

I don't really want to spend all that much on one at the moment, maybe about $5000-$6000CAD give or take.

Also accepting suggestions, never really owned an SUV nor do I know what to look for although I do have plenty experience driving big trucks/vans in the past & I can also drive manual if it matters much.

you don't need a big suv
>>
>>16091423
Stop meming. SUVs are great to have in winter, especially if you ever have to park outside or start from a full stop at a light. Better 4wd than having to put blankets under your tires to get going on ice.
>>
>>16091423
You dont need a big suv. However, you dont have to need something to own it. If you just want an suv, thats cool, but unless you want to pull shit or go four wheeling, a car would probably be capable of everything you need it to do.

But anyways. Suggestions. The s10 blazer is actually pretty small for an suv. It would get you a to b, but dont expect anything special from it stock. Take a look at the car chart in the sticky. Good suggestions there.

Not me. I'd recommend getting a lawyer. Ask the court house for an earlier court date. If denied argue that it was your right to be given a fair and speedy trial at the hands of your peers...If goven earlier date, you better go in there and take the punishments like a man. You fucked up.
>>
>>16091355
i sort of beat a 25 over the limit charge (6 points on insurance and $500) by going to court. The judge knocked it down to 2 points and $150. I was 18, clean record and my mom went with me, so it was a sympathy thing, i think.
>>
Never had one against me. At least for vehicles.

I did have one against me for assault back when I was like 16. Punched some cunt who called my mother a whore.

It was dropped immediately after the cops questioned me.

I'm looking to buy a 2013 WRX hatchback here soon; however, I want to know your opinions.
I like the idea of the hot hatch, functionality without forfeiting something that's fun. My budget is $20k, so keep that in mind when you are going to suggest a different car

There's one of these for sale near me. Looks to be near mint, has 232k miles (which really isn't much for the OM617). He's asking $4800

Is this too high a price? I already DD an '85 300D with the same engine, no major problems but it's in much rougher shape. I want to get this car as a nice "upgrade" to my current one.

Do any of you guys own a memey new car with collision avoidance? Does it work? Has it ever prevented you getting in an accident? I see so many ads where they manufacturers pass it off as a holy grail, like it's the next airbag, I think they put it in to inflate the price of shitboxes even more. I prefer the idiots in the ads pay attention to the fucking road, can't believe they show people driving so carelessly and pass it off ass normal behavior.

I'd consider it if I was looking for a brand new automatic car to daily drive. I'd probably get no use out of it but it'll help resale value a fair amount and if it prevents one fender bender, that'd be cool too. I never would be distracted enough to hit a fucking kid like some commercials like to show it preventing, and I learned how to properly drive in heavy higher speed city traffic after my first and only at fault fender bender.
>>
>>16091031
I think it's nice (if it works), but i think it's really bad for millennial drivers my age, I drive an 04 accord my grandmother gave me because she's getting dementia, and that thing takes some concentration to drive, it's super rigid and vibrates down the road like a bitch, and I love it, but these damn kids can't depend on these systems when they're shitposting on the road.

How do I learn more "advanced" driving techniques?

I daily drive manual, but it's in a city with gridlock traffic and stop-and-go on the streets. I feel like I have no idea how to actually take corners quickly, etc. What is there to learn, and how do I do it?

Watch in car racing, read about racing, read about the physics of cars, read about car control.

Then go out at 3am and drive some twisty roads. If no twisty roads then just drive whatever you can
