How bad of an idea would it be to weld the rear diff on my winter beater/daily? I've never driven a car with a welded diff, so I'm not entirely sure what to expect or how dangerous it could be. Not worried about tire wear, I just don't want it to become unsafe to drive in certain conditions or situations.

Good news - Built in Mazda's Hiroshima Plant
Bad news - Fix it Again Tony™ engine
Its fucking sexy as fuck and if you live in the US it only gets 4hp more than the non-abarth.

Essentially I'm looking at getting a 2-3" leveling kit for my tacoma, but I've never done one before. I've read that they can screw up the life of your front end? Any truth to this? How hard are they to put on (like pic related) or should I just get a shop to do it?
Also, any clue where to get cheap, black off road looking rims? Cheapest I've found are $75 ea from discount tire.
Pic related; similar wheels to this. Looking for 6 lug, 16x8
I can already tell you are the guy with the 4 banger you just bought. Don't modify the truck, it's just torching money and won't add anything to the truck. You have the classic "I have to make my boring shitbox unique!" syndrome. Drive it for a year and if you feel something is missing or needs to be changed then do the modification.
>>16690186
Good catch. But it's not the syndrome or me wanting to add to it, I just like doing this type of stuff.
Looking at one of these,
>1998 model
>65910 kms (41000 miles)
>TB done at 39000 miles
Is there anyone experience with these cars, or own one, that can tell me a bit more about them?
I know the alfa reliability is supposed to be SHIT, especially ones from that era.

Do you press the button when applying the e-brake?
Is it bad if you don't?
The button is for releasing, not for engaging
Always press it just because I don't like the noise
Its not bad to not do it damage is insignificant

I am going to start a project this December.
My idea is to buy a 1965-69 Mustang and modernize it with a coyote 5.0.
I've seen a few forums online where it is possible, but I'm thinking about the best way to go about it.
Any ideas? It'll be a weekend warrior but I want it to be comfortable i.e. air conditioning, decent sound, nicer than stock seats etc.
>>16683599
>modernize it with a coyote 5.0
>not a 5.2l Voodoo
>not a 3.5l EcoBoost V6
>>16683607
>putting a v6 with a shitty turbo into a traditional muscle car that demands a true high displacement v8
>>16683616
If you want to truly modernize it you'll use a V6 because EcoBoost is the future, not archaic v8s
Hey /o/ I just bought a 2008 Lexus ES 350 with 96,000 miles on it.
No prior accidents, it was regularly maintained, never a late oil change, ect ect.
The interior is white leather, almost immaculate, only one small scuff where the arm rest folds down in the back seat (I think I can get it off too)
What am I in for? And how do I protect her perfect interior?
My only car before this was a 2004 sienna that I put almost 300,000 miles on, so the difference in both quality of driving and quality of car in general is insane for me.

You just called it ugly. It was literally first thing you said about it. Then you asked if it's 'any good'? You're obviously a competitors' shill *cough*toyotard*cough*
Fuck off with the bullshit spam posts though. Seriously.
Being an Albertan working for a company haemorrhaging money, my job security is essentially zero. I've been toying with the idea of buying a truck once my company shuts down and living in it, driving across Canada wherever the wind takes me.
I don't want a van because of pedo stereotypes, among other things, but I think i could make a crew cab + extended bed truck very liveable. The question is which truck to get?
Im leaning towards Toyota Tundra since the most important thing the truck has to have is reliability, but they are pretty hard to find in Alberta, especially at a decent price.
what does /o/ think?
>>16689073
Hey man,
I'm working in northern BC
What do you do for a living?
In summer you won't have such a hard time. You can live in most trucks pretty easily. Invest in some tarps, ropes etc and random stuff.
I lived in a chevy s10 for about a month.
Canopy+tarp and a good sleeping bag was doable. No fun if youre worrying about bears
Big =better because propane stove cooler etc etc adds up in price
>>16689324
Warehousing for a dying industry. Basically what we do is sell wholesale upholstery and drapery products to companies who turn that raw material (vinyl, springs, track) into a finished product (auto reupholstery mostly)
The problem is that we're essentially a middle man and once our customer gets big enough they go to our supplier, and our smaller customers are either not buying nearly enough or going out of business themselves because of the economy here.
I might end up in BC for work honestly but I want to drive up to the territories for a bit and probably out east to visit the family before I head out back west, bc will probably be my final destination.
>>16689073
>I've been toying
You know what's funny, the second I saw this particular phrase, I knew this was a Toyota shill thread. Nobody "toys" with an idea to uproot and live in a fucking car. Nobody "toys" with anything when they consider a new vehicle. I've never legit heard anyone ever say "I'm toying with the idea of getting a really reliable truck, thinking about the Tundra but I'm not sure. Of course I'm not thinking about anything else, so I'm not going to mention it even though I'm just toying with the idea of thinking" LOL NO FUCK OFF.
And then of course the standard issue kit of psychological suggestions like " the truck has to have is reliability". Because all other truck brands are so unreliable that they wouldn't even get mentioned in OPs post. Because trucks as an entire segment are known as unreliable.
BONUS: I like how Toyota shills, after the WHORE thread, are kind of laying off starting their shill topics with press kit, publicity shots of toyotas and huge brand emblems, while they lay low from being OBVIOUS FUCKTARDS for a bit with "pic unrelateds".
