I just inherited a 2004 Subaru Forester. Mileage is actually under 90k so I'm cool considering keeping it versus selling. My question to you guys is what can I do to make this a more luxurious ride? I'm not an auto guy, cars to me are very much an expensive pair of headphones with and ac in it, so I don't care as much about performance as I do comfort and styling. Anyone have experience with this or any good ideas? Or should I sell it and move on. Thanks guys

Ferrari F12 berlinetta vs Aston Martin DB11
Which one is better built? Which one would you rather have?
>>16683631
Aston Martin is probably netter built. But I would stille choose the ferarri, because... Shiny
>>16683631
The Ferrari.
>>16683631
the DB11 is probably the most luxurious Gt car ever built
So ponder this a little /o/,
I did a little bit of a case study, and I will now dispense my findings:
>I Started with trying to find out why /o/ only seems to be OK with about a dozen cars or less (posting anything about any other car seems to get you shat on)
>I noticed what TYPE of cars /pol/ seems to like the most. Of those, the clear champions were the Honda Civic, Mazda 3/6, WRX, 350/370Z, GTR, Supra, and on some occasions the GTI
>Did some analysis, turns out those are the cars very popular amongst high school students
>Cars pol hates are mostly heavy and have V8 engines
>Arguments against heavy cars are things like "MUH DRIFT"
>Did some deep analysis: the cars /o/ likes are bandwagon cars that teenagers like because they're what is "cool". Teenagers also tend to lean heavily towards JDM, in particular certain JDM cars like the civic and mazda 3 because that is what a lot of teen "racerboys" have
>I was like that when I was a teen too
>After a few years of actually driving and owning a car you start dispelling bandwagons and forming your own taste but only AFTER you have experience with cars, and most adults that love cars don't yell that JDM is superior.
>Most people on /o/ lack their own taste and love bandwagon type cars like the 350Z and GTR and despise everything else
>JDM fanboys are easy to identify. I did some questioning. Asked many of them something along the lines of "you probably couldn't even change the spark plugs on a Cummins engine" which they naturally protested they could (mechanics like me will see the folly in that)
>Concluded that the evidence points to most people on /o/ being teenagers who either don't have a license or just got one, but in general don't have much car experience.
>What follows from that is most of your opinions are in fact, invalid, especially JDM supremacists.
>SOME of you really seem to know what you're talking about, but it is the minority.
Am I right or am I wrong /o/?
What about Toyobaru?
You're going to get shat on no matter what car you post because, holy shit, /o/ consists of a wide variety of people with a wide variety of tastes and being 4chan you should expect "your opinion is objectively wrong" on basically every thread. That said, the teenagers are very obvious, but in the five or so years I've lurked here it's generally been pretty good.
As an aside, knowing that diesel engines don't have spark plugs doesn't make you a mechanic.

What do you think of Mazda 323? It's being sold around 1.5 -2 k euros here
Wtf, is it mint condition with 50k kilometers?
If not, it should cost more than, idk, ~800 euros?
>>16683458
was my first thought but then again the last time I looked them up was like in 2011 and I guess they reached bottom end a couple years ago and are probably already rising again.
>>16683458
Cars are really expensive here. For ex old civics are around 6k ish euros
>car has 230hp
>weighs 3500 pounds
ENOUGH
>dream car has 270 hp
>weighs 3575lbs
>car has 150hp
>car weighs aprox. 4500lbs
just
My car has 270hp and weighs 3200 lbs.
I have no idea if this is good or not.

Do you remember the first toy car you owned?
I remember owning an Opel Speedster in this same exact color
When I grew up I found out they weren't even sold here in the U.S.
I had a blue late 90s Chevrolet Blazer that you pushed a button, it made some noise and then took off for about 10 feet. I played with it for hours
Not the first, by far, but the first one I got genuinely attached to was a matte black Hotwheels Viper GTS-R. I also feel like it's to blame for my side exit exhaust and fuckhuge rear diffuser fetishes and undying love for Vipers in general.
I had a GXL rx7 as my first car at 16
>Retards actually believe the best way to fix body roll is shocks and springs
Most americans have multiple body rolls, i had no idea you could stiffen up your mobility scooter by chaning the suspension components
>>16682577
Well it would, stiffening the suspension is an easy and simple way of minimizing body roll
However if your car is still heavy it'll still want to roll and your suspension won't keep good traction with the ground
>retards actually believe the best way to fix
I'm looking for a daily driver under $4-5,000 that's easy to park, comes as a wagon/liftback, made in the last 15 years, and is capable of towing a motorcycle trailer (eliminating the Fiesta/Fit as options).
So far what I've come across are:
2003-2007 Foresters/Impreza Wagons (N/A Manual)
2003-2007 Matrix XRS/Vibe GT (2ZZGE 6spd)
2004+ Prius
What else should I look for? Off the bat I'm eliminating CRV/Rav4s (too tall/boring) and used Saabs/BMW Wagons (rare/unreliable)
I found a 2005 Volvo V50 T5 6spd with 115k miles for $2900 but I don't know shit about newer Volvos, what's the catch? Why are they so cheap?
>>16682482
That particular Volvo shares a lot of parts with the 2nd gen Ford Focus. Pretty good car.
>>16682482

This is true for people who use their truck as a truck, but then don't have the common decency to keep it clean. Or if you live somewhere cold and they salt the roads regularly.
OP good luck finding a cheap one, though. They usually hold value for a while. I'd recommend getting an SUV of the same vintage to fill the same role.
>>16682306
piss poor MPG
cant tow worth shit
small payload capacity
plastic but easily cleanable interior
tight box the one time its a is a bad thing
would u drive this?
The original G, preferably from the late 80's, yes
why would I drive something with two sets of blinkers.
>>16682274
this is a shoop but don't burgers usually LOVE blinkers?
I remember in the 80's they added like two additional sets of blinkers on euro import cars
Hey /o/, I just turned off traction control in my car and almost killed myself. What's the closest you've ever come to having a major accident due to your dumb driving?
I went too fast in the snow and I slid through a red light at an intersection next to a major highway entrance. Nobody was coming thank fucking god.
By too fast I mean 30 in a 45 zone. I guess it was icy or something because the brakes just did not slow down the car at all, and I was going down a slight hill.
>>16682181
>being a man

Any body guys in here can give me an estimate on this? Guy wants a 1000
lol, that looks a lot more than $1000. Frame is definitely fucked as well.
>>16682143
1000 to repair that? Fuckin pic related
Thats a parts car now imo
