What's the hardest repair you've ever done?
Just replaced my ball joints and it took forever. I started at 2:30 today and just finished at 10:00 PM. But it fixed creaking and wobbling problems so whatever.

Tie between that and spark plugs on a v8 Northstar engine. Never again will I own a cadillac.
Rear wheel bearing on a 2000 Subaru Forester.
Fuck that shit
>>16798463
I almost tried to take that off once to get the rust off... but then I tried to find a tutorial on YouTube. The job is a whole lotta nope. Mad respect to Chrisfix for taking the time to make a video on that though.
Worst I've finished: PCV valve.
Currently about 1/3 of the way through replacing some exhaust valves.
how do i get type r performance without type r looks?
i posted a thread the other day about wanting to buy a civic to modify and track, and a few people told me to wait for the performance model, but the performance model looks like crap. what to do?
>>16798011
The numbers aren't even good lmao, why would anyone buy a type r over an si? They're the same motor with different tuning.
>>16798070
The Si is a 1.5L. are you trying to be retarded?
>>16798011
Is that the new Subaru WRX

he's getting better cars to review now
The Toyobaru was one of, if not, the only car that poobaruwrxfan reviewed in which he didn't autistically spazz out like a fire truck under acceleration. Really makes you think.
If I put two 2JZs together to make a V12 will I have the best engine on earth?
>>16797489
You would have an I12
>>16797489
You'd basically have a bored and stroked 1GZ-FE.
Is it ever worth it? Scam stories?
I am considering buying a car off eBay right now, pic related. Been emailing this lady that says she's in the military and deploying soon, getting rid of the car because she doesn't want/need it anymore. She's sent me more pics and the car is in pristine condition in them, though they might be old pics or something.
She says it's all stock, 76k miles, 5spd, with the original tool kits and maintenance records that would come with the car should i choose to get it shipped over here (which will cost me nothing, because she's paying for shipping as per our agreement). if i got it out here i would have 5 days to drive it and see if i like it before being able to return it for a full refund through eBay. I've read through all the terms and shit sounds pretty nice, any opinions are welcome.

Buy a miata instead
The del sol is completely inferior to any miata
>>16797357
can't find any miata's in my area that are as cheap as this honda or as in good condition
>>16797384
How much is the Del Sol?
Also where do you live? I can help you look.
>brakes slightly aggressively
>car shudders and wheel shakes
wat. warped rotors?
Also 7th gen Civic General
abs you absolute fucking retard
>>16797149
Do you even have abs? Look on the drivers side under the hood for a metal box with like 4 pipes coming out of it
>>16797172
>>16797202
It's the EX so yeah it does have ABS. I don't think it should shudder quite like it does under moderate braking though.
My mk4 jetta has ABS but it doesn't shudder like that even slamming the brakes completely from 70mph

Sorry. I forgot about their amazing weight saving technology that looses weight over time by it's self.
If I'm 25 and making 55k/yr *after* taxes (and have a 23k emergency fund), how expensive of a car could I reasonably finance without being too risky?
>>16796969
A civic for less than 10k. You need at least to make 6 (six) figures to afford anything else.
300K
>>16796969
You need to decide what you are going to do with the car. Driving my sports car and putting 15k miles on it killed me inside, so now I have two cars I'm financing.

How does it feel to know you will never own on of these moving pieces of luxury art? The finest car ever built, 100's of hours of hand stitched coaching and custom bodywork on every single chassis. This dreqam ride also comes equipped with the greatest engine the 90's ever produced: the Ford modular 4.6L V8. Dreamers look else where, no-tire kickers either.
Are you talking about the crown Victoria?

HOW DARE YOU! This is a masterpiece of automotive craftsmanship!
Hey, /o/. I just bought a 1996 Corvette LT4 6-speed with 48K miles for $7500. This isn't my daily driver, just my weekend toy. How'd I do? What cars or car parts have you purchased recently?
>>16796205
I'm looking for a deal exactly like that, OP.
Congrats. Enjoy it.
>>16796205

The only thing mustangs are good for
that looks like shit
this is the only thing Mustangs are good for
>>16796210
Don't they put other engines into the replicas? And custom chassis ?
>>16796490
Basic FFR kit is tube frame and foxbody mustang. However the kit is made to accept a 427 and there are mustang suspension kits that convert the rear end to 3 link, which would be accurate to the Cobra.
So, how the fuck do you properly adjust a car seat? In my car there's two issues; the first of which being a lack of lumbar support and the second being pedal placement.
If I'm at a reasonable distance from the wheel, I'm too close to the gas/brake pedals (odd being I'm a manlet) the clutch is okay here however, and conversely the inverse is true. In addition, in most configurations a ton of pressure is put on my spine leading to back pain.
>>16795273
manlet here
i end up sitting quite upright because the steering wheel always seems too far away while the pedals always seem too close
>>16795297
I mean I've driven tons of cars and haven't had pedals being too close before.
>>16795273
>If I'm at a reasonable distance from the wheel, I'm too close to the gas/brake pedals
You've either got no arms or your idea of proper steering wheel position is too close to your face.
Are you an old person?
