1st for ACT is the most Australian territory

If i can post then what the fuck is this from when i tried to start a thread?
What car do you drive and why?
I drive this. bought it because I liked the look of them. before that I didn't know anything about the stigma attached to them. it is my first car.
>>16773800
>before that I didn't know anything about the stigma attached to them.
I find that hard to believe
15' SRT 392
Always liked the challenger every since i got into cars, both the old and new gens. Almost got a 15' GT stang instead but i liked the looks and power of the challenger more.
Bought it because I wanted one? I don't think there is much other reason to buy a 240sx.
Why is Porsche often mocked with middle class? I don't understand.
man, be original for once in your life im sick off the same fucking threads, there is way too much bashing on cars nobody here can afford, thats why.
>>16794234
Dude I swear to God that was not me.
Bus rider here. I hate it cuz I can't afford one.
For all you interior buffs, check this out.

Take particular note to the higher end cars and how the upgrades make the original look like absolute dog shit. Quality materials and craftsman ship can make any shit box look and feel like a million bucks.
The F430 and the NSX are my favorite so far with honorable mention given to the '14 Ford Ranger and Honda Jazz.
I've only gotten to the NSX so far, will post others.

The Volvo S60 they did looks comfy as fuck.
What does /o/ think of the 2010 - 2015 Dodge Charger police cars?
> 5.7 V8
> can be bought for under $10K at public auctions
It's a good option if you don't want to drive a Panther and look like a sperglord (like that CVPI tripfag)
Redpill me /o/
Expect panels to be missing, trunk security compromised and major wear
I'd get a caprice for that SWEET AUSTRAILIAN L77 CUNT.
Alternative I'd get a Tahoe PPV because dat squat when it takes off.
Tahoe PPV's are sexy as fuck
Uh, those chargers are all v6.
I work in a police dept. They suck and need to be fixed constantly.
My girlfriend wants me to get myself a Forester instead of a Golf
Do it, VAG a shit
>>16793857
>buying an off-road family car
Your gf has good taste
Is this worth getting as a Miata alternative
Somehow it hasn't been hit by the rice tax and the prices are around the range of similar year NBs
>miata alternative
triggered.
it's MR, you either want an MR car or you don't.
>>16793855
They're both cheap ass Jap roadsters, I think a fair comparison can be made
>>16793855
This. Mr2 is a good car, but it's not an "alternative" to a Miata. The engine is behind the driver and passenger seat in an mr2, vs it being in the front of the car in a Miata. They have very different handling and tuning characteristics, and in the old mr2s they were transverse mounted engines. Personally I'd take an mr2 over Miata, but they're really different cars.
Why would anyone buy an A4 or A6 when pic related exists?
>>16793835
because they are not a poorfag buying an entry level 20 year old sedan like you are
>>16793838
But it's literally the same thing
You're just paying for 4 rings on the front and back
>>16793845
nah m80 that ain't true, audi is bought by assholes thats why people here hate them, not because they are shit cars.
Any well-optioned model with quattro is a decent fucking vehicle, overpriced? probably, like all of them, but a POS? no, thats bmw.
So whats the cutoff for my car being hackable by the CIA? OBD? Electric throttle? Automatic? Keyless entry?
I dont want to die on the togue without my own mistakes taking me.
Drive by wire, steer by wire, brake by wire, onstar or similar navigation systems, avoid all this.
>>16793211
This basically just means staying away from higher trims and going for base right? But even then you cant just go for base because now a lot of bases come with that stuff as standard
>>16793215
Just buy an older car, something before like 2006
hope mclaren made the passenger seat waterproof
So I just got a 2nd hand 86 engine put into my 86 because I blew the old one (lel).
Anyway the engine has done 22,000KM. I've driven 50 or so so far but the car feels extremely sluggish (more so than usual), yes I am aware the car is slow but it feels like the RPM's arent going high fast enough.
Do I have to break it in or something despite being 2nd hand?
>>16792650
You probably got scamed in to a fake "86" engine. I'm leling at your life.
>>16792721
the fuck cunt? its exactly the same
>>16792721
Is she giving her a fucking cigarette?
What does /O/ think of my car?
>>16792642
It's awesome, I have a 2013 one that I've been thinking about trading in for a newer Sport Tech model.
How do you like it? My 2013 one is lacking in build quality/material choices but I think they fixed that in 2015!
>>16792709
It's actually really great In my opinion. I have the eco model so I can get close to 40 mpg hwy, but when I stomp on it, it hauls (relative) ass. I think car and driver clocked the 0-60 time at 6.7 sec which actually feels pretty quick
>>16792642
It's okay. Middle of the pack of the middle of the pack portion of the auto industry.
I want to get an auto civic, I heard certain model years had terrible auto trannys. What gens ones should I avoid
early-mid 2000s
>>16792150
Do you know specifically what years
>>16792150
>tfw 2005 Civic auto with nearly 170k and literally not repairs outside of regularly scheduled maintenance
I'm just waiting for something bad to happen. I've been way too lucky with this car because I've heard it's common to have tranny issues as well as poor placement of the A/C compressor, requiring replacement even for lower milage vehicles. Looking to seel for 3k to get another manual 4 door shitbox before something bad happens.
>Low price
>Lightweight
>High power
You can pick two. Which do you choose, and what car matches that criteria?
>>16792019
>>Low price
>>Lightweight
fpbp
>>16792019
low price
high power
one of the SC GM boats from the late 90s
>>16792043
this
>>16792046
them things are slow tho
would like to report that my civic is dead for the 2nd time and will not be resurrected for a 2nd time it been a fun ride in my ep3 but i no longer have the money to fix her up again feels real bad man
looks like a VW
>>16792007
its what happens when you follow the 3grand civic meme
>>16792007
it's still a good car. fix it and stop being poor.
>>16792346
there's literally nothing wrong with 3k civics.
